Jon, It's good to be skeptical. I would reserve too much judgement till you can see the whole work. I don't have time to engage in a long discussion about the "cover - up". However, I would suggest that (IMO) it was the result of multipal entities and Institutions and their various self interests, mostly having to do with pre- knowledge of certain people and events. Hoover and LBJ fit into that category...again just my opinion. Bill

Yep, In fact I have come to believe the attempt on Walker was a staged event, which had little to do with the plans for 11-22. I doubt they would have risked Oswald to arrest and conviction of attempted murder at that time. The DPD and the FBI are noticeably quiet about looking into Os as a suspect before December 2-3, when Marina officially spilled the beans. Nor can I find, any record of the FBI getting a report from Voshinin, or informing Walker that they may have a suspect in Oswald. (Doesn't mean it didn't happen) As I say, I recall that Walker bitterly complained about the lack of follow-up with regards to his case. Why would he do that if they were keeping him informed? To Cover himself.... posssibly!? I'll have to refresh my mind on this regarding time frames, by looking at my files. Yes Hunt is a prime suspect, whom Walker tries to distance himself from after 11-22. A main puppet master in the Walker arena is Robert Morris.... who was the brains of the 'outfit' -Bill

Paul, There is no evidence that I know, of Walker ever mentioning Oswald in public before assassination, and in my mind there is a good reason why. He didn't want to have Oswald arrested or under suspicion, or taken out of circulation. There were still plans for him. This was why he was never charged with distributing communist literature in NO's It was "hands off" this guy....for now. -Bill

The claim by Walker regarding LHO being arrested on 4/10/63, is something Walker and (I suspect Robert Morris) made up as a way to get back at RFK for the Generals humiliation after his Ole Miss. imprisonment. Walker also included the fact that his source for this story came from someone in authority who would know (paraphrasing). He later intimated it was from someone in the DPD. I believe this was a dig at the DPD for his perception that they were dragging thier feet, in regards to informing him what their investigation had turned up. There are many documents in the record from Looney ,Looney and Watts (Walkers lawyers) demanding full discloser for their clients welfare. The incident never took place, it grew and changed along the way, to include Jack Ruby as well! This is why there was no record of it, it was all a ruse and a way for Ted to CLAIM that the actions of RFK (to his ultimate shame) had backfired and resulted in his own brothers death. Edwin Walker was man scorned and never let that vendetta go.... he milked it till his dying day. -Bill

Paul, You probably won't find any copies of 'Life Line' during that period. Most, if not all of these relevant collections were purged long before they became available to the "public". We have run into that in almost everey case, It's as if 1963 never happened. Nathaniel, you are correct... it's teach them not to care. -Bill

Paul, Yes I was referring to BW as scapegoat, and the fact he was Jewish could be played several ways by those who wished to, post 11/22. I still find it hard to swallow that it was all a genuine (innocent) mistake, to have him as signator of such a caustic ad. Again, why the subtrafuge with the fictional sponsor? Grinnan was much more than an errand boy in the bigger picture. He had bigger connections than I first realized, in radical Right Wing circles. It was no accident that he was involved in this caper. Whoever is the source of this description and or the layout of Oswalds apartment, and travel path out of such, has never been there! I have, and if you come down the stairs and make a right, you will hit a cyclone fence, if you go past that you will hit the building next door, where his landlord lived. Greg, I have been to the Oswald Apt several times. Even if Eames could not have seen Oswald behind the screen cycling and "dry firing" a rifle, he definately could have heard it if he was outside. I have even stood across the street and could hear the door to that apt.lightly squeek open and close. Someone I met had a MC just like the supposed Oswald rifle, when we worked the bolt it was rather noisy, louder than the door...! -Bill

The 'Chain of Custody' was shakey to non -existant in both instances (rifle and pistol). One has to rely on the word of the DPD.....are they trustworthy?? -Bill

Not to make light of the subject, but sometimes we need some levity. Anyway, one thought comes to mind. If there was indeed talk among the guys about "going back up" to the 6th floor, to eat. Why would Oswald risk (Allegedly!) going back up nonetheless, to carry out his plan? There are too many people unpredictably flying around, for Oswald to have had any feeling of even momentary security.
