Dave ... Unless you were able to completely duplicate the conditions in the A15 video , then your flag experiment would be worthless ... First of all , you would need to have the same size flag made from the same material , hanging on a thin aluminum pole , suspended from a rod at the top of it , possibly starched , and then trott past it in the same bouncing , SLOW MOTION fashion of the astronot .
Most likely the reason the flag didn't "dampen " as quickly in the nasa footage as it did in your "experiment" , is because it was filmed in SLOW MOTION , and therefore it moved longer .
And yes , the flag is NOT waving in a breeze , but rather swaying by the wake made by the astronot as he bounced past it in an atmosphere , not a vacuum .

Both of you are either misinformed or being deliberately misleading .
ALL of the telemetry is missing from ALL of the missions , not just Apollo 11 .
Get your hearing checked Dave , because Krantz stated that he didn't believe the telemetry even existed .
Here's his quote from the video interview ..
"I haven't see anything that indicates that the telemetry data is even in existance .. and as I said , even if we had it we don't have the machines to play it back . "

Well , I am an ardent admirer of the real space programs of Mercury and Gemini ... I just don't believe that Apollo falls into the same catagory as the other two programs .
I think a series covering Mercury and Gemini would be fantastic ... One of my favorite movies is 'The Right Stuff ' and it would be great to see a new movie about the history of those missions .

It's simply impossible that he brushed the flag as he zipped past it .... The rover and its camera were too far away from the flag , and he practially filled up the entire frame of the camera as he went past it .
As for the theory of dust being kicked up , there is no sign of anything impacting the flag .... and NOWHERE in this video clip is it very high or high enough to hit it .
Here's a still photo from the same A15 photo shoot , showing the distance between the camera which allegedy filmed this scene and the flag ... You do the math .... It would have been impossible for him to have run right in front of the camera like he did and also brush up against the flag , which as we see , was several feet away .

Evan ... Speaking of using other people work , why is it okay for you to do that but not me ? ....Your 'rebuttal' of the flag , swinging by the breeze of the astro-actor trotting past it on the A15 moonset , was taken right from some pro Apollo forum .
You keep asking me for "original " material or evidence that Apollo was a hoax , but the best evidence I have seen of that so far is on David Percy's Aulis site and in Percy's and Bennett's book 'Dark Moon ' and in Percy's documentary ' What Happened on the Moon'....I have also seen the hoax evidenence in nasa's official videos , Man on the Moon , The Apollo Collection and several others that I own ... The faked special effects are even more evident and noticable on wide screen TV ... YouTube video clips are also a good source for seeing the hoax evidence .
I don't have the time I used to , to play games with any of you , to write long posts explaining why Apollo was so obviously a scam ....Therefore , I have no interest in your "challenge " ... but thanks for the offer .
So to answer your question , I have no way of measuring the distance between the astronot and the moving flag , but looking at the video clip it is obvious that he was several feet away from it and therefore couldn't possibly have bumped into it as he bounced past it in slow motion .

Apollo flight director Gene Krantz sings a different tune now that he is faced with the fact that nasa not only claims that they "lost" all of the telemetry from every Apollo mission , but he doesn't even believe it ever existed in the first place !!!

Thanks for the movie update Mike ... Ron Howard did a fine job directing the science fiction movie Apollo 13 .... Apparently both he and Tom Hanks got all pumped up after making that movie together , and are now ardent supporters of the Apollo Program ...These guys make their living in the fantasy world of movie making , so to support nasa's fantasy moon trips comes as no great surprise .
Good timing for this movie too ... Americans are getting pretty upset by the current corruption in the US government and need to be reminded of a happier and more innocent time , when everyone still believed that the government didn't lie to them .. and that something as far fetched as landing men on the moon was really possible .

Sorry Evan , but that astronot never got anywhere near that flag ... What you posted is just the best lame excuse that the pro Apollo camp can come up with to try to explain away the fact that enough breeze was kicked up by the astro-actor zipping past the flag to cause it to move .

I didn't feel that it applied to me ... I was merely pointing out the fact that you have no business or qualifications to judge anyone's internet post comments as having come from a "rubber room " , replacing "crayons" with the internet .... and in doing so , you have proven once again that you lack the ability to be impartial or open minded , and therefore have no business being a moderator .

If you want to understand the main points /evidence that Zeitgeist presents , then I suggest you watch the movie ...and also learn about some of the other evidence in the source list , which includes many more sources than the documentary 'Loose Change' , which you appear to have an objection to .

Stephen ... Once again it looks as though you have completely missed the point ... This is NOT a question of which moderators Jack may dislike ( for good reason ) , but rather which moderators dislike him and everything he stands for , fights for and believes in .
You have no more business being a moderator here than Evan Burton does .. as neither one of you know how to show any fairness, or know how to be impartial towards the members you disagree with ... Which as we all know , would be Jack White and me .

Ah , it comes down to semantics then ... My interpretation was that the tapes were never in existance , not taped over or "lost" .
Yes, apparently 100 of the 700 "lost" boxes of Apollo 11 "experiments" were found hiding under some school desks in Austrailia ... Right .
According to most people, Apollo was the greatest technological achievement ever known to mankind ... Yet , for such a stellar achievement in the anals of space flight history , no one at nasa seemed to give a crap what happened to the original Apollo telemetry, which from what I understand , recorded much more that just clearer pictures .
There are still 600 boxes , weighing over one ton , of telemetry missing from EVERY Apollo mission ... and to "lose" something of that magnitude can not be due to any carelessness on the part of nasa employees ... If those tapes were really what nasa claimed they were , they would have been carefully guarded in locked vaults ( like the alleged moon rocks ) and not just lost in the shuffle somewhere .. According to nasa's version of the events , the tapes were moved at one point from one nasa facility to another ( can't remember the names of them ) and it was at this second location that they became "lost " .
The true story is that a documentary maker wanted to take the original telemetry of all of the Apollo missions and convert them to DVD discs to make a documentary about the Apollo Program , using the best quality pictures available .... But when he asked nasa to allow him access to the telemetry data , it became somehow "lost" , never to be found again .
I'm sorry , but if you or anyone else swallows nasa's pathetic story that the telemetry data from "the greatest achievement known to mankind " was "lost" or even accidently "copied over" , then you really are blind to nasa's smoke and mirrors routine ... nasa has many secrets ... none of which the world will ever be privy to ... and the "lost" telemetry data is just part of their magic show .
