I have not read Twyman's book. However, for over twenty-five years I was a researcher/writer/editor for David Lifton, author of BEST EVIDENCE. I and another Lifton researcher, Sean Fetter, were two of Lifton's main researchers. Sean is writing multiple books on this case. I am privy to some of his research and he has really done his homework.

  2. Gerry, the book you linked is Volume 4 alone, which is basically an index with a few extra bits and pieces. The meat of the text is in the first three volumes.

Some guy is selling all four volumes here, for a little over $7000 US, if you figure out the exchange rate.

If the books are really going for that much I'll give them another read then exchange the volumes for the cash and take a three month vacation in some tropical climate with a nice beach somewhere.

Bill Davy reviewed the books 17 years ago, see here. He even mentions book scalpers.

If Fetter solves the case with his new one he might make more bucks by just printing 40 copies and making everyone on this board pay through the nose for it.

  3. Yeah, there's a good number of illustrations scattered through Flammonde's books, including some rare ones, but many of the pics aren't of great quality.

Flammonde's work was actually a multi volume set, pictured below (on my kitchen table just now). One volume was an expanded reprint of an earlier book he'd done on the Garrison case years before, and the rest were new.

I had a funny experience ordering it in 2008. Paris had nearly sold out, and gave me the address for ordering. Paris then sent me emails reminding me there were 20 copies left, 15 copies left, 10 copies left etc, while we both waited for my cheque to show up. Then at the last minute (from memory) he sent me a reminder email which suggested that he'd mistakenly given me the wrong address, and so it looked like my cheque would likely never show up in time. The books weren't cheap. I bit my tongue for an evening, rather than saying anything I possibly shouldn't. The next morning I checked my email, and Paris had written "Huzzah! Your cheque has arrived!". He then signed a card so I could pop signatures into each edition, and I received them all a week or two later.

  4. More on Fetter, since his press release doesn't mention it.

Sean Fetter is an American historian and investigative journalist - and the foremost analyst of the JFK assassination. His in-depth investigation of the president's slaying has spanned 40 years. In addition to his groundbreaking historical research and analysis, Fetter has worked as a journalist in radio news, print news, and television news. His media experience includes award-winning reporting; award-winning commentary; editing; producing; on-air program hosting; and breaking news coverage.Fetter wrote and reported and produced important news stories that were carried nationally by the Associated Press and by CNN. He also conducted in-depth interviews with a variety of figures ranging from American civil rights activist Ralph David Abernathy to Soviet dissident Tatiana Yankelevich.

  5. Fetter has a couple of social media pages where he's making lots of posts about how good his new book will be. I don't mean that as a jibe. If his book is going to be good, great, but there is currently very little online about it. The listed publisher doesn't have an ordering page, and there are no previews anywhere online.

I tend to buy whichever big fat multi volume JFK assassination books come out - I own Flammonde's and I own Walt Brown's in ebook form. I'll potentially grab this one too unless details ever suggest it's dire and not worth reading. That noted, I've emailed Fetter and asked if he can give more details or a preview to anyone interested.

Fetter is the co-author (with Scott Murkin) of a 1985 article for THE ARGUS on Lifton's work. There's little else online about him and his books. But it's always fun when some guy buried away in his house has been working for decades on a JFK book.

You can get the Kindle version on Amazon for only $9.99.

It is a very good, and a very important, book.

And Jim did a good job with his review of it.

BTW, Kamp did a 97-minute video on his findings, and it's available on YouTube: LINK.

Michael. Thanks for the recommendation. In this instance I'd prefer the paperback (and I should be cashed up again soon) but if I can't string for it in the near future I will grab the Kindle.

I'm enjoying reading Kindle books much more on my iPad with the Kindle app, than I ever did with an actual Kindle. Much bigger screen.

In Pittsburgh, i will be doing a Big Picture presentation that has never been done before in any manner.

How the death of JFK led to the rise of the Neocons.

Keen to see that presentation. Also worth noting

    JFK assassination

    RFK assassination

    George Wallace assassination attempt

Jimmy Carter assassination warning (the one where the guys arrested were Raymond Lee Harvey and Osvaldo Espinoza Ortiz)

    Reagan assassination attempt.

That sequence nominally put George Herbert Walker Bush in the driver's seat, the same guy that announced 'Let her fly!' to the Team B / Neocon groupings that worked in the late 70's to shatter detente. And I get that Reagan came back and Bush Sr later had his own run ins with some of the neocon clique, but in terms of getting the neocons where they wanted to go, a bunch of assassinations and assassination attempts seem to have helped, and those same assassinations not happening would have probably helped them less.

  8. Nick Bryant's earlier FRANKLIN SCANDAL was credible, extremely well researched and documented, but hugely depressing because of the subject matter. I'm looking forward to reading this new volume, which I guess will be out within the first half of 2024.

A delusion is a strong belief or conviction despite superior evidence to the contrary. The Watergate delusion, embraced by millions, is that swashbuckling Bob Woodward and the left confronted the malevolent Nixon administration as it cast a sinister pall over America and slayed it with the lance of truth, thereby saving democracy. But the actual evidence demonstrates that Watergate was not a shining example of democracy, and Bob Woodward’s place among the pantheon of journalistic immortals is a grift.

One of the grand deceptions of Watergate is that Nixon’s enemies on the left razed his presidency, but it was actually his enemies on the right—the far right—who initially had the means, motive, and opportunity. And although Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein told numerous lies throughout their Watergate reporting, Woodward’s Big Lie was that he didn’t meet Alexander Haig until 1973. As The Truth About Watergate takes the reader on a guided tour of the extraordinary lies and XXXXX of Watergate, its demonstrates that Woodward’s fabrication about Haig has seismic implications. If Woodward’s Big Lie about Haig had been exposed, then the synergistic mythologies of Bob Woodward and “Deep Throat” would have been shattered and swept away by gusts of veracity.

The Washington Post has scorned prior Watergate revisionist books, like Silent Coup: The Removal of a President as a conspiracy theory, but The Truth About Watergate shows The Washington Post has fervent, utilitarian motives for banishing Silent Coup to the conspiracy theory ghetto.

  9. I'm also not a fan of the name calling. Just to mention, I hope everyone posting in this thread hangs around, and any disagreements can be kept at the level of disagreements rather than incendiary death matches with flaming weapons.

The same people who worked with Gladio worked with the Muslim Brotherhood and later spawned Osama Bin Laden and Alqueda which is basically an Arab Gladio network..

Someday I need to sit down and write down the links between Operation Gladio and Operation Condor. There are similarities and connections. It doesn't take a lot to figure out that the folks who planned and orchestrated the one probably did the same with the other.

  10. Loomer has an extremely florid history of stirring up trouble and occasionally acting like a tr*ll. Every so often, she's found the best way to tr*ll government or political figures that she dislikes is to confront them with facts or stories that are highly awkward, but accurate. The question as to whether Loomer is a trusted news source might come second as to whether the info she's presenting is accurate or not. If it is, her past stories don't have a lot of bearing. If it isn't, a past history as a trusted news source wouldn't be hugely relevant.

I do think the discussion is probably going off topic like Paul said. Without belabouring the point, anyone wondering what a Ukrainian guy would be doing attempting to help J6 protestors come across even worse than they did, should ask which future administration was more or less likely to take the Ukraine's side against Putin in a future conflict, or to stonewall Putin's pre-invasion requests until the invasion eventually happened - Biden's or Trump's? That should suggest why they might have had an interest.

Back on topic, I can't say I've read every posting that Robert has made here, but I'd prefer it if he stayed rather than left.

  11. Generally agree, I tended to stay away from his online conversations as he was pretty rambunctious. But being attacked over and over (the main stream article I posted above singled him out for an unwarranted pot shot) can do that to people. The few times I chatted to him online he was friendly enough and civil. And his books and articles are very solid. Quite a funny writer too, with an earthy sense of humour.

  12. Trine Day's Kris Millegan posted on Facebook that Daniel Hopsicker, author of BARRY AND THE BOYS and WELCOME TO TERRORLAND, has passed away.

Linda Minor posted an additional article, as she was working with Hopsicker on his final book.

    https://www.madcowprod.com/2023/09/02/keeping-mad-cow-alive/

BARRY AND THE BOYS tangentially bumps into the JFK assassination, as Barry Seal, Operation 40 and the various participants feature in it. Hopsicker possibly got into more troublesome waters with his later book WELCOME TO TERRORLAND. After the 9/11 attacks, Hopsicker had flown down to Florida and interviewed 9/11 hijacker / ringleader Mohammed Atta's girlfriend, Amanda Keller. Hopsicker's book and articles created ripples for the official story thereafter, as the pious Atta was revealed to be a heavy cocaine user flashing a wad of bills, visiting strip clubs, and boasting about his various connections. In 2006, the Herald Tribune published a 'debunking' piece where Keller retracted her comments, reprinted here. Happily for everyone involved, the US Attorney Office and FBI were content to have a public statement put out by an agent regarding the issue, but were reluctant to name the agent who put the statement out, so good luck following it up.

For five years, Amanda Keller has been portrayed by conspiracy theorists as Mohamed Atta's lover.

But the former Venice stripper now says her boyfriend was another flight student not connected to 9/11. And, for the first time, federal investigators say she's right.

"There's nothing there to corroborate the relationship between the two," a New York-based FBI counterterrorism agent said recently after reviewing 9/11 case files.

The agent got clearance to talk from the U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI, but only agreed if his named was not used.

Among other things, the government checked Atta's phone records and found the two had never called each other.

In 2002, Keller granted an interview with Daniel Hopsicker, a Venice self-published writer who maintains the government has covered up facts about 9/11.

In a taped interview that has circled the Internet, Keller casually discusses intimate details about her relationship with "Mohamed." She claimed it was Atta, but changed her story soon after.

"It was my bad for lying," Keller said. "I really didn't think about it until after I did it."

Keller, 24, is engaged and is studying to become a nurse. She moved to Ohio in early 2002 and said she hoped that by getting married and changing her name, she could finally leave the rumors behind.

I have a personal anecdote to add without much further additional comment. I was in private correspondence with documentary filmmaker Jonathan Elinoff for a few years, and Jonathan told me he'd approached Hopsicker after the above Herald Tribune article, filmed a long interview with him, and the two of them had returned to Venice, Florida. Keller trusted Hopsicker, and Elinoff eventually got Keller to reconfirm her story on camera for his then-in-preparation documentary CORE OF CORRUPTION-ECHOES OF TREASON. (There were many interviewees for the film - Peter Dale Scott was another). The documentary was completed, but never released, after Elinoff, working on a radio show, became ensnared in the investigation into corrupt Colorado cop Patrick Sullivan. The Sullivan arrest attracted International attention - 'Sheriff goes to prison in facility named after him' - but the nasty story Elinoff helped uncover (he was collaborating at one point with both Homeland Security and Colorado radio personality Tom Martino) caused him a great deal of personal trouble. This is the tip of the tip of the iceberg for that story and anyone who wants to know more about it should dig up the long thread I wrote about it on Deep Politics Forum years ago.

Hopsicker agreed with some of the conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11, and strongly disagreed with others. His investigation into the hijackers is recounted in two Sander Hicks books, THE BIG WEDDING and SLINGSHOT TO THE JUGGERNAUT, the former featuring a moment where Watergate prosecutor / 9/11 Commissioner Richard Ben Veniste reacts badly during an interview after being asked about Hopsicker's revelations on camera. Richard Ben Veniste's earlier client was Barry Seal.

Hopsicker's documentary on the Venice, Florida events is here. He was a smart, tenacious guy and will be missed.

One Thing I have to do is recreate the transcript of John Newman's 1999 JFK Lancer presentation.  This presentation was John's best work and essential to understanding Mexico City. It was on the JFK Lancer site but that got hacked and is now gone.

The entire presentation is still intact at the Archive.org link of the Lancer site. Here you go.

  14. As frustrating as it is to an extent, I respect John not answering whodunnit in the recent interview, as it's clear that he's still putting the pieces together and taking an extra thorough approach triple checking a lot of stuff that has barely or never been looked at previously. On Facebook last year he compared it to a glacier slowly moving towards Dealey Plaza.

That noted Jim and a couple of others have already noted where things seem to be headed - Pentagon and military folk heavily involved, with other people and agencies (including the CIA) tied to things in a manner that he hasn't yet fully answered.

Since his name just popped up, one of these days I need to go back and look at John McCloy and use Donald Gibson's pages on the Rockefeller interests from BATTLING WALL STREET as a starting point. I spent a few months rummaging around the history of those guys and the documentation that is available now is much greater than what it was.

  15. Hard to say but it could be that John Newman was under more attention, or someone didn't want Newman putting together the other info he'd dug up with the Cobb material, or whatever spooks Hank had watching what he was up to were more relaxed or forgiving than the ones Newman has attracted. A bit of a head scratcher, but there is the chance that the explanation within the spook world as to the logic of all this is a dumb one rather than a smart one.

the intrepid, departed Kevin Coogan's posthumous release, "The Spy Who Would Be Tsar: The Mystery of Michal Goleniewski and the Far-Right Underground," spent four chapters going in-depth, academically, utilizing documents, proving Mr. Bagley's claims to be false.

I'm not disinterested, but I suspect very few people here have read that book, and I also suspect Newman probably hasn't either. I had Coogan's earlier on the shelf years ago but never tackled it. Robin Ramsay's review of that new one was the same as the other reviews I saw for it - detailed, fascinating, a bit of a tough read.
