Above is a Dealey Plaza scaled map (originally presentedin the Dr. JOSIAH THOMPSON book “Six Seconds in Dallas,” on a mapsurveyed in 1964 by Dallas County Surveyor + Dealey Plaza witness ROBERTWEST) on which 11-22-63, then-Texas Christian University medical studentWILLIAM “Billy” ALLEN HARPER later marked for us where he found the“Harper skull fragment" on 11-23-63 at about 5:30 PM. ....Mr. HARPERmarked the “X” location for us on that map here. There are many vignettes and incidents associated with the ambush and murder that draw one to the JFK story. However, none is so fascinating for me as the Belknap "seizure". Its timing and location are mighty suspicious. The ride in the ambulance to Parkland, and the lack of subsequent medical record, are intriguing.
I've often thought (pure speculation) that it was intended as a diversion, drawing attention away from shooters (and others) and allowing them to get into place. Just as the alleged shooting from and activities at the TSBD are a diversion. It also serves as a signal of sorts ... letting the ambush teams know that's its almost time (i.e. a two-minute warning). Since many view the ambush as the act of experts - who were masters of such scenes (akin to magic with sleight of hand and sensory diversion) - I'm inclined to see Belknap as part of the plot. By taking him to Parkland, it perhaps alerted those who would be stationed and positioned at the hospital (as contingencies); somehow, it seems associated with clearing a path to the hospital.
Was there not a story where the ambulance ride to Parkland was timed by the driver previously? I wonder what would be critical (to someone) about how long that ride takes? Belknap is germane to this thread, as it is somehow establishes the timing for events that follow. I've often wondered about what became of Jerry Belknap ... who he was, and how he fared. Not sure there's been much written about him. The seizure incident resonates strongly to me as no coincidence.

From my "Men of Courage" homepages website, page 6, with respect to the 22NOV63 timing of the emergency response ambulance into and out of Dealey Plaza to help the man who exhibited the seizures near the southwest corner of Houston and Elm streets....Mr. AUBREY "Al" LEE RIKE (born 1937, passed-on 2010) was a Dallas ambulance driver who was summoned to Dealey Plaza 11-22-63 to transport a man (said to be JERRY BOYD BELKNAP: born 1940, passed-on 1985) who had publicly exhibited seizures near the Houston and Elm streets intersection southwest corner, across the intersection, oppositely away from the Texas School Book Depository and Dal-Tex buildings. That man's seizures started minutes before the President was scheduled to enter the kill zone.In 1992 Mr. RIKE spoke at the "Assassination Symposium about Kennedy" (A.S.K.) and detailed that he knew of, at least, 8 phony telephone calls that had each requested an ambulance go to Dealey Plaza in the 3 weeks leading up to the assassination…… RIKE suggested that the phony telephone calls were made with the deliberate purposes to determine exactly how much time it took an ambulance to reach Dealey Plaza after being called...... RIKE further strongly suggested that another purpose of the phony calls was to try to time the assassination shots to occur simultaneously as when the loud siren of his ambulance was still within hearing distance of Dealey Plaza, so to try and confuse witnesses and/or drown out the assassination shots noises. (RIKE's ambulance departed Dealey Plaza at 12:22 to 12:23 PM, and the Dallas newspapers had printed that President KENNEDY would enter the plaza at 12:25 PM)
AUBREY “Al” RIKE is the author of “At the Door of Memory.” He also helped prepare President KENNEDY’s body then helped place it into a bronze casket in Trauma Room # 1 at Parkland Hospital. . . . Soon Mr. RIKE was also personally caught right in the middle of the 11-22-63 cursing, shoving, then quickly-escalating into physical fights that lasted 10 to 15 minutes for the control of the President’s body that took place at Parkland hospital between the weapons-drawn and aiming Secret Service Agents and Parkland officials when the Dallas County Coroner, Dr. EARL ROSE, and other officials were demanding their legal rights to perform President KENNEDY’s autopsy protocol in Dallas County where the murder had been perpetrated. At the pointing of their guns, the Secret Service then quickly whisked JFK's body out of the control of the very experienced Dallas County Coroner, and then quickly took JFK back to Air Force One.

I have always thought that this was Mr. ORR's location during the attack, as seen inFather ROBERT CROFT's photo # 3, snapped simultaneously with Z-161 (but, imho,there is not enough documented support, statements, etc., for that being him, so I didnot name that person on my DP map.... siiiigh.... Should have tried to find + interviewhim before 2007). That man in CROFT is noticeably larger than the man + womansitting next to him on that North Pergola eastern sidewalk wall....

Even if you are one of the grassy knoll people you have to concede Lee Harvey Oswald’s place as at least one of the shooters which means that, without a doubt, Kennedy was killed by left-wing extremists not right-wing extremists. In an especially delicious bit of irony, while trying to somehow pin Kennedy’s death on the anti-communists, they omit mentioning that seven months before assassinating Kennedy, Oswald attempted to assassinate one of the most prominent anti-communists in Dallas, General Edwin Walker.What’s that you say, Salon mentioned General Walker? So they did – only, they mentioned him as one of the right wing zealots who posed a threat to Kennedy when he visited:Over the next three years the simmer burst into a full boil as various luminaries of the John Birch Society such as millionaire oil man H.L. Hunt and the anti-communist fanatic Gen. Edwin Walker, a zealot so far to the right that he even believed Eisenhower was a communist, fanned the flames of anti-Kennedy hatred.Walker was at the center of the plot against Adlai Stephenson to which Mrs. Doyle referred in her letter. .... Good Day .... It has been privately speculated by a fellow long time researcher that the 5-31-64 date Mr. WEST wrote on the referenced surveyed map was the date that his surveyors license was renewed.
That cannot be for the simple reason that the date Mr. WEST has written on several of his different DP maps is different for each of those several different maps. (if the date was his licensing date then that date would remain the same on each of his different maps)
While being shown one of his differently-dated DP maps during his 1969 testimony in the CLAY LaVERGNE SHAW trial, he also answered a question about that different DP map's date when he testified to the date of that DP map being drawn as 4-31-64.
The question remains: Does anyone have any facts or opinion as to why Mr. WEST wrote that the TAGUE curb had already been "REMOVED" 66-days before a curb section was filmed being removed 8-5-64?

On a moonless night in August 1943, on a pitch-black strait in the Solomon Islands, two vessels collided.
A fireball bloomed, and the Navy gave up John F. Kennedy's PT-109 crew for dead. But Lieutenant Kennedy fought, swimming for hours with his 10 remaining crewmembers, pulling one along by holding his life jacket strap in his teeth.
Kennedy's heroics may have been for naught without Eroni Kumana and Biuku Gasa, two Solomon Islanders. They found Kennedy and his crew six days after the wreck, subsisting on coconuts on a small island.

The two took a message from Kennedy, which he etched into a green coconut, and paddled at great risk 35 miles through Japanese territory to deliver it to the nearest Allied base. A rescue was launched. The crew, and the future president, were saved.
Gasa died in 2005; Kumana died last week.
"The last connection to this pivotal moment in history has passed," said Thomas J. Putnam, director of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.
The former president's nephew Max Kennedy met Kumana in 2002 while on a National Geographic trip to the islands, not far from Papua New Guinea, to search for the remains of PT-109.
"He was so filled with the joy of life, extraordinary humility, and honesty," Max Kennedy said, recalling Kumana's lively smile. "He was incapable of guile."
A long boat ride was made easy with Kumana's frank humor, he said.
But Kumana's laughter often turned to tears when the president's name was mentioned.
"Jack was an extraordinary man, and I think in the short amount of time they got to know each other, I think Eroni picked up on how Jack was," Max Kennedy said. "And I think people feel a particular connection to the person they save."
Danny Kennedy, an American, has run a dive shop in Gizo, near the site of the patrol torpedo boat wreck, since the 1980s. He often connected Kumana with visiting journalists and tourists, hoping to keep Kumana's story alive.
"He was always so animated, and he had this amazing amount of energy," said the shop owner, who has no relation to the Kennedy family. "He was always very agile, very surefooted, and always seemed to smile and laugh a lot."
Kumana, whose cause of death was not immediately available, never knew precisely how old he was. He was a teenager when he canoed through those dangerous waters. He and Gasa were working as coastwatchers, tracking Japanese presence in the islands for the Allies, when they came across the PT-109 crew.
Carrying Kennedy's message -- "NAURO ISL/COMMANDER/NATIVE KNOWS POS'IT/HE CAN PILOT/11 ALIVE/NEED SMALL BOAT/KENNEDY," written on the coconut he had plucked -- meant risking torture or death.
Kennedy was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for his courage in guiding his men from island to island after their boat was sunk by the Japanese destroyer. Those who knew him say he never forgot those days, or Kumana and Gasa.
Putnam said the actions of the islanders are hard to overestimate. "They certainly did help save [the crew's] lives," he said.
And Kumana never forgot Kennedy.
A visitor to his Ranongga Island hut in 2008 found his home covered with newspaper clippings and photos of the former president. As Kumana spoke about Kennedy to Mark Roche, a Texan with a passion for World War II history, he swung from laughter to bouts of weeping and back again. Kumana's son, named after Kennedy, translated while Kumana clutched a heavy bust of the president to his chest.
"It was the highlight of his life, and he couldn't really let go of it," said Roche, 57, who spent a few hours with Kumana, whom he called a simple, brave man, as well as a war hero.
Kumana entrusted Roche with a mission: delivering a Kumana family heirloom to Kennedy's grave in 2009.
Solomon Islands "shell money" is passed down through the generations, and the giant clam shell Roche brought to Arlington National Cemetery had been in the Kumana family for hundreds of years. Eunice Kennedy Shriver and a few other family members attended the private ceremony, where Roche placed the shell on Kennedy's grave. It is now in the JFK Library, along with the coconut.
Putnam said schoolchildren love the story of the rescue. From the romance of eating coconuts on a deserted island, to the heroics of the dashing young Jack Kennedy in the dark night, to the men on a canoe bearing a secret message, the story conjures a sense of wonder.
"It captures the vagaries of life and history," Putnam said. "What if JFK had died on that boat? And what if those two natives had not been passing that island at that time? And what if they had been intercepted by the Japanese? It reminds us that history isn't preordained, that small things can occur that can completely shape the course of world history."
Max Kennedy called Kumana a "beautiful man."
"My uncle Jack used to say, 'One person can make a difference, and everyone should try,' and I think Jack really lived his life in many ways on that basis," Max Kennedy said. "I think Eroni lived his life in the same way. He had a completely different life, but at the same time, he was really, extraordinarily similar with that kind of determination to live fully."

He was 88. His death was announced by his grandson, Michael Johns, according to the Associated Press.On Nov, 22, 1963, the day of John F. Kennedy’s assassination in Dallas, Mr. Johns was one of three Secret Service agents riding in a convertible behind Vice President Johnson and his wife, Lady Bird, in the presidential motorcade. Agent Jerry Kivett drove the agents’ car and monitored radio reports of the parade.
Suddenly, they heard the first two shots.
Though unsure whether he had heard gunshots, vehicle backfire or firecrackers, Mr. Johns jumped from the security car and made a dash for the car carrying Johnson.
However, after a third shot, the entire motorcade sped up. Mr. Johns, on foot, was left behind on the street.
Rufus Youngblood, the chief agent in the Johnson security detail, used his body to cover the vice president and Mrs. Johnson as their car followed the Kennedy vehicle and a Secret Service car to Parkland Hospital.
Amid the chaos, Mr. Johns climbed aboard a car carrying photographers, then moved to the sidecar of a police motorcycle en route to Parkland. He found Johnson and the other Secret Service agents at the hospital, waiting as surgeons worked on Kennedy. Texas Gov. John B. Connally also was wounded but survived.
When Kennedy died, an unmarked police cruiser took Johnson and agent Youngblood to Love Field where Air Force One waited to fly Johnson to Washington. Mr. Johns, who had been seeking a secure hospital exit for Johnson and Youngblood, had to leave for the airport in another police car. Once at the airport, Mr. Johns screened all those who boarded Air Force One while awaiting the arrival of first lady Jacqueline Kennedy and the casket carrying the president’s body. There were concerns about the possibility of an attempt on Johnson’s life.
Mr. Johns was among those gathered in the Air Force One stateroom when Johnson was sworn in as president. In White House photographer Cecil Stoughton’s photo — perhaps the most famous picture ever taken aboard Air Force One — Mr. Johns stands behind Mrs. Kennedy as Johnson takes the oath of office.
The Treasury Department, then in charge of the Secret Service, gave Mr. Johns an award for his actions on that day. He advanced to chief of the president’s detail in 1965, and assistant director of the Secret Service in overall charge of the protective forces in December 1967.
During the Vietnam War, the Secret Service found itself on the front lines of violent anti-Johnson demonstrations. During a 1966 presidential trip to Melbourne, Australia, protesters drenched Mr. Johns and Youngblood in paint intended for the president. Another Secret Service agent, Bob Taylor, had his foot run over while getting between demonstrators and the presidential car during the melee.
Mr. Johns left Washington during the Nixon presidency but returned to work as administrative chief and security director for Joseph A. Califano Jr., then secretary of health, education and welfare under President Jimmy Carter.
Thomas Lemuel Johns was born in Birmingham, Ala., on Dec. 11, 1925. Mr. Johns served in naval aviation during World War II and then worked as a Birmingham firefighter. He graduated from Howard College (now Samford University) near Birmingham and served as a criminal investigator for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
He joined the Secret Service in 1954 and served on President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s security detail during the last two years of the Eisenhower administration.
According to the New York Times, survivors include his wife, Nita; a son, Jeff; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Three generations of the Johns family have served in the Secret Service. In addition to Mr. Johns, son Jeff was on President Ronald Reagan’s security detail and grandson Michael was on details for Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama through 2010.
In 1998, Justice and Treasury department lawyers were considering legislation to exempt Secret Service agents from subpoenas regarding personal and political information overhead during their protective duties.
Mr. Johns favored such a law and tried to clarify the types of information that agents could be called to provide.
“If an agent witnesses a criminal act,” he told Newsday, “I don’t see that we can say we refuse to testify. But if something is in the realm of a personal or professional confidence, that should be exempt.”
He added, “You don’t ever want the president to tell you when you’re leading him to the presidential limousine: ‘We’re going to be talking about some top-secret stuff today. So we’re going to take a cab.’ ”

According to one embalmer, the nature of the president's wounds required that he use "all of my knowledge and acquired skill to make him presentable." This embalmer, Edwin Bates Stroble, was a native of Altamont and one-time apprentice at Kull Funeral Home.Born May 22, 1921, to Edwin P. and Gladys G. Stroble, the younger Stroble began working for local businessman Woodrow Kull in high school before enlisting in the United States Navy. Following a stint of service that saw him fighting on Attu, he returned home. It was at this time that he began his apprenticeship under the supervision of Kull to learn the trade of embalming. In a letter to family friend Linda Frederick (nee Grobengieser) shortly after the assassination, Stroble credits Kull with teaching him "how to pose features naturally, and how to use a horse sense flair for make-up." He also referred to Kull as "one of the greatest embalmers I've ever watched."According to Stroble's sister-in-law, Ruby Stroble, he eventually decided to move to the East Coast, a place he had lived during his time in the Navy. He then began working for Joseph Gawler's Sons Inc, a prestigious Washington, D.C., funeral home, as a mortician.He did, however, make frequent trips home, visiting his family, Kull's Funeral Home and Frederick's father, Delbert Grobengieser."He would park his sports car in the driveway and make me drool over it," recalled Frederick.Stroble was described as a "real likeable guy" by his sister-in-law and spent his time fishing and hunting. He writes that his main interest was music, in particular the works of Hoagy Carmichael.Frederick credits Stroble with getting her into Shriner's Hospital for treatment of her polio, when her family was considering sending her to Chicago. Stroble objected, stating that she would be treated like a lab rat in the northern facility. Due to the care she received at Shriner's, Frederick states that "people don't even realize that I had polio."As for the cause of his minor notoriety, it was, in part, Stroble's December 1963 home visit that alerted local residents to his connection with the Kennedy funeral. Lynn Kull, son of Stroble's mentor, recalls Stroble coming into the Kull embalming room and showing him the check he received for embalming the President. After a period of disbelief by Kull, Stroble mentioned that the President had been shot at the very top of the cranium and approximately the 7th vertebrae. He also mentioned that Kennedy's face was "not that marred."Considering the extensive work done to restore Kennedy's body, Stroble was disappointed when Jacqueline Kennedy decided that the casket would be closed for services. She and the President's brothers viewed him in the East Room of the White House, along with select staffers, before she ordered the closure. He did, however, come to believe that "as things turned out, it was a wise decision on her part."Stroble said that during this time, there was a "very high emotional response from the people of the district, and for that matter, the whole East Coast." He believed that if the casket had remained open, "it would have become mass hysteria, or worse." Stroble complimented Mrs. Kennedy for her composure, stating that "she was tremendous throughout the whole ordeal."Given the historical controversy and public interest surrounding President Kennedy's assassination, natural curiosity may lead many to wonder what Stroble knew about the President's wounds and their implications. In the aforementioned letter to Frederick, Stroble writes that he was "under orders from the White House Secret Service, and the FBI not to discuss any factors relating to points of entry of bullets, nor their effects." Stroble died in May 1976 and therefore was unable to provide testimony to the United States House of Representatives Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA), which was introduced in 1975, but not officially created until September 1976. Fellow Gawler embalmer Thomas Robinson's testimony has been cited in support of a frontal entry wound, but no documented statements by Stroble suggest his agreement. Stroble did not mention to Kull or in writings the small wound near the temple that Robinson discusses in the official HSCA transcript.Upon his passing in Maryland in 1976, Stroble's possessions were reportedly not collected by his family and subsequently discarded. Therefore, any additional information that may have existed regarding President John F. Kennedy's death and funeral from Stroble's unique perspective has been lost. However, the existing records illustrate the importance of his small-town training and its impact on one of the most famous events in modern history.(END QUOTE)Best Regards in Research
