  1. Tosh, Yep, you're right. Connected to Seiwell. Cook was indeed associated with Roscoe White although I don't know how influential he was getting him a job with the DPD. When you first mentioned Cook, I went a bit bug eyed as I had never heard him mentioned before by anyone and thought I was the only one on his tail. There are also some interesting associations between Cook and some others firmly entrenched with what happened in Dallas. This is him below. FWIW. James
  2. Thanks, Tosh. That is most interesting. When I originally started the thread I was hoping someone had something more on him. I also had heard the Dallas rumors. Regarding the Capt. Gilbert Cook you mentioned in an earlier post, was this C-Company's Captain Gilbert Cook? He was with construction and I think he was a bricklayer by trade. James
  3. Tosh, There was a Bobby Joe Keesee. Same guy you're thinking of? There is a thread regarding him here. http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.ph...4&hl=Keesee James
  4. Since the above post, I have discovered that it is highly unlikely that Mario Tauler Sague used the name Saul Sague or was he indeed that individual. Saul Sague aka Frank Shay aka Saul Siegelbaum was an FBI informant and possessed tattooes on both his forearms. Given this, we can count him out as being the Mexico Oswald. Mario Tauler Sague on the other hand used several aliases when he returned from Cuba. More to come here. James
  5. Hugh Aynesworth did pen stories introducing the possibility that Oswald did not act alone. One such piece was published in 1964 and it focused on General Walker who Aynesworth quoted as saying that the Warren Commission was a 'white-wash'. Another curiosity was a 1964 story Aynesworth did about a French aviator named Jean Dabry who along with other European flyers was in Dallas as part of a nationwide tour. Aynesworth reported that Dabry had said most Europeans believed that Oswald had accomplices and that it was most 'strange' that Oswald was himself killed. There is also the question about the publishing of excerpts from Oswald's diary under Aynesworth's byline. Jesse Curry claimed that he had the diary locked up and did not share any details it contained. Who leaked the information would be of great interest. FWIW. James
  6. Robin, I'm not sure about the Lobster article but I seem to remember that Diaz Verson was one who supported the David Phillips directed information that Oswald had stayed at the home of Sylvia Duran in Mexico City. James
  7. AMPALM/26 was Salvador Diaz Verson, a most interesting individual. James
  8. Dixie, Mosley also used the name Art Rickoften and his codename was 'Blackfoot'. James
  9. For sale on eBay is a documentary done by Mark Oakes - sounds very interesting. Among other things, it seems as if Oakes was able to confirm the ID of the mystery individual seem with Buddy Walthers in the area of the furrow, as Robert Barrett of the FBI. (Lee Forman) Lee, I was always under the impression it was Barrett. I seem to remember reading a report that identified him. James
  10. Tosh, Regarding a Capt. Saxton, there was a West Point graduate by the name of Ben Saxton Jr. In 1958, he was Lt. Ben Saxton stationed in Nurnberg with the Fourth Armoured Division. He was also an aide to Brig. Gen. W.F. Ryan. Saxton married a German girl during this time. In 1963, he was Captain Ben Saxton. Also worth mentioning is that he was an NRA expert rifleman medal winner. Does he ring a bell? James
  11. Thanks, Tosh. This is all very interesting. James Dolan was associated with the Smaldones out of Colorado as well as a guy named George Fuqua who he ran small time poker game rip-offs with. Fuqua was killed in 1968 by James Cherry who a year later would also kill Dallas Deputy Sheriff Buddy Walthers. All these crims were in turn associated with Jack Todd. We can also slide Jack Ruby into this melange of undesirables plus several other folk of dubious reputation. The Campisis, Lewis McWillie and R.D. Matthews all supporting cast in this drama. One may even suspect that this network may have been employed for aspects of clean-up duty. In my opinion of course. James
  12. Tosh, Regarding this connection from Colorado back to Dallas, would that be via James Dolan? James
  13. Tosh, Regarding John Farrentello, is he the same guy that in the late 1950's ran the Texas Nut Company? James
  14. Bill, Howard J. Osborne was Richard Helms' man. Helms had ordered Osborne to withhold Watergate information and to deny the Justice Department access to key witnesses in the first six weeks after the break-in. Helms also ordered him to stay away from E. Howard Hunt and Karl Wagner, the latter having knowledge that John Ehrlichman had authorized the Agency to establish a working relationship with Hunt. This was unpublished testimony by Osborne himself. Regarding Russell Langelle, an interesting sub-plot comes from a Polish born U.S. soldier named Vladimir Sloboda who was assigned to the 513th Military Intelligence unit in Frankfurt. Sloboda defected to the Soviet Union in 1960 and claimed that the embassy was full of spies and dangles. One of these was Langelle associate Col. Theodore Hoffman who commanded a Military Intelligence unit in Germany. Sloboda also said that U.S. spies were sent to the Soviet Union disguised as tourists, official delegates, diplomats and defectors. A rare image of Russell Langelle below. FWIW. James
  15. ------------------------------ Phil runs a travel agency in Havana, and pray tell I wouldn't want to cause any difficulties, BUT: His "Company Diary" fails to include ANY entries for November, 1963. Has he corrected that mistake in later published materials. I for one am still anxious to hear his immediate reactions to the "Crime-of-the-Century", and moreover, where was he when he got the sad news. Wheaties, GPH _____________________ It's a shame that Gerry doesn't post anymore as I would like to know if he is able shed some light on the relationship between Agee and Anibal Antonio Mercader. Is any forum member aware of any published material by Agee that mentions Antonio Mercader? James
  16. Jack, The information was most helpful indeed. Would you be kind enough to pass on my appreciation and thanks. Cheers, James
  17. Jack, To state the obvious, I am not going to offer who my sources are but I am now convinced that Ronco is not the guy in Wim's photo. What I can tell you is that there was more to Ronco than meets the eye. Whether he found himself mixed up with peripheral events surrounding JFK's death, I do not know. The trail went cold a long time ago and information is extrememly difficult to come by. FWIW. James
  18. Wim, I do not know if this guy is Ronco or not. I was pointing out that there are some similarities in appearance. I also do not know much about Ronco (including whether or not he is alive). He was somewhat of a strange bird. Many rumors were floating around just after the assassination but what I can tell you is that he dated Beverly Oliver during the summer of 1963. If anyone is in contact with her these days, maybe they can ask about Ronco? James
  19. I always thought this guy looked a bit like Larry Ronco. Ronco below. James
  20. Thanks, Shane. Muchly appreciated. I'm not sure what it is but something here isn't sitting quite right. Getting two lots of directions - stopping at a bar and then from a law enforcement official? I guess that's one way to be remembered. It just seems so awfully contrived. I would be most interested in getting some personal background on this couple. Cheers, James
  21. Det. Robert E. Abbott died in 1965. Robert Struwe's official title at Parkland was Hospital Comptroller. Robert Holcomb died in 1968. FWIW. James
  22. Lee, Thank you for the kind words. They are greatly appreciated. For me, at the end of the day, results are more important than credit and I think we are all very close to cracking this thing wide open. I agree that 2008 will be the one that exposes the dark forces. Cheers, James
  23. Robin, I think it was a memorial event a few years after the assassination. A couple of images on the bottom row show the overhead street signs on Elm which I believe were installed in 1966. FWIW. James
