  2. As anyone got a good quality copy of the TSBD taken by James Powell on the 22/11/63 ? Thanks in advance David
  3. The clothes do not match, BDM figure is clearly in dark clothing, the black woman with baby in the Darnell film is in lighter coloured clothing. So Duncans theory of BDW is wrong in my opinion. Dave

  6. William, when Powell was interviewed by the AARB in 1996 and the HSCA in the 70's, he stated that he took time off work to go see JFK at Love Field. Yet his superior Officer Jones told the HSCA that Powell was working that day. Concerning the van, Powell could not remember if he used a Goverment car or his own car or where he had parked the car. My question is this, could he have been using the Clean van? Dave
  7. After reading all his testimony and going through all the photos, i think i may have located the elusive James Powell, 112th military inteligence officer, in Altgens 5. The man in the photo is looking towards the TSBD and not at the approaching limo. In his left hand he seems to be holding a camera, Any thoughts? Dave
  8. The bullet fragments HOUSTON (AP) - New testing on the type of ammunition used in the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy raises questions about whether Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, according to a study by researchers at Texas A&M University. Lead research Cliff Spiegelman stressed, however, that the research doesn't necessarily support conspiracy theorists who for decades have doubted Oswald was the lone gunman. ''We're not saying there was a conspiracy. All we're saying is the evidence that was presented as a slam dunk for a single shooter is not a slam dunk,'' said Spiegelman, a Texas A&M statistics professor and an expert in bullet-lead analysis. The Warren Commission concluded in 1964 that Oswald fired three shots at Kennedy's motorcade from the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas. The U.S. House Select Committee on Assassinations agreed in 1979 and found that the two bullets that hit Kennedy came from Oswald's rifle. The committee's findings were based in part on the testimony of former chemist Vincent Guinn, who said recovered fragments came from only two bullets. Guinn testified that the bullets Oswald used, Western-Winchester Cartridge Co. Mannlicher-Carcano bullets, were unique and that it would be possible to distinguish one from another even if they both came from the same box. But Spiegelman and his fellow researchers, who tested 30 of the same type of bullets, found that fragments were not nearly so rare and that bullets within the same box could match one another. One of the test bullets also matched one or more of the assassination fragments. ''This finding means that the bullet fragments from the assassination that match could have come from three or more separate bullets,'' the researchers wrote in a paper detailing their study, set to be published later this year by the journal ''Annals of Applied Statistics.'' The study is available on the journal's Web site. ''If the assassination fragments are derived from three or more separate bullets, then a second assassin is likely, as the additional bullet would not be attributable to the main suspect, Mr. Oswald,'' they wrote. The bullets Spiegelman's team used were from two of only four lots ever produced of the ammunition. The researchers were able to test for more elements than Guinn and used better quality control techniques, Spiegelman said. " G. Robert Blakey conceded that Guinn's theory, which Blakey had promoted to the HSCA, has been shown to be nothing more than "Junk Science." Even the FBI dont use Neutron Activation Analysis, because it is not admissable in courts of law. Dave

  13. Was'nt John Pic, (Lee's half brother), connected to MKULTRA? Hi David, possibly. He worked at two or three defense hospitals involved in human radiation experiments and had also worked in tracking subversives on Ellis Island which housed refugees and immigrants. And his wife had a penchant for what looks a lot like automatic writing ala Sirhan and others... What I am thinking of though is - if I recall correctly - something about a brainwashing/mind control operation run by the CIA in Mexico during the Summer of '63 which was mentioned in an Executive Session of the WC, and which Dulles wanted kept out of the hearings on the basis that it had nothing to do with the assassination. I may have that slightly wrong --but I'm sure it was along those lines. Trouble is I have not been able to find anything on it. I wanted to see if any details match with what I have on this sociology study. At least one of the psychiatrists involved in that study has a number of question marks over his head concerning previous involvement in MKultra style experiments, and it seems to have been funded through CIA friendly foundations. Hi Greg, I found this in my files, dont know if helps mate http://www.theforbiddenknowledge.com/hardt...ile15thru16.htm Dave

  15. Wow thanks very much for all this useful information Bernice, your a star. Thanks Dave The Oswalds certainly were a military service family. Robert being a Marine inspired Lee to memorize his brother's USMC handbook, and to try to enlist a year before being of legal age. There may be documents that Lee forged in order to prove he was a year older, though I've never seen them. There was also a recruiter who may have looked the other way when it came to age restrictions in reaching his quota, and Oswald's mother may have even been in on it. Being a Marine meant a lot to Oswald and it began with his brother Robert. Lee's half-brother John Pic was in the Coast Guard, stationed in New York when his mother and Lee visited and moved in and relocated for awhile. More significantly perhaps, is the fact that after John Pic left the Coast Guard, he enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at Lackland AFB for training at the time of the assassination. BK Thanks to everyone Dave
