Regarding the Obama’s place of birth brouhaha he has indeed produced a birth certificate. The kooks are complaining that it is a 2007 copy rather than the original but I imagine lots of people don’t have their originals, I don’t have mine and both of my friends whom I asked said they don’t think they or their parents have theirs. It has been examined by researchers (students I imagine) from the Annenberg School of Journalism (U of Penn.) and seems to be quite authentic. Additionally a pro-Clinton blogger trying to prove he wasn’t born in Hawaii found his birth announcement in a local newspaper but was honest enough to post it.
