David Andrews
The Package (1989), the Gene Hackman-Tommy Lee Jones thriller once touted on this Forum for its script resemblances to the JFK assassination, is now viewable on YouTube. If anyone sees revelation and not ho-hum exploitation, let me know: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoaXfPNlO0I

And I enjoyed it immensely. Thanks, --Tommy
David Andrews
From the same Hackman period, I like Under Fire and Target better, and No Way Out (co-starring Costner) best of all as a conspiracy thriller. I found Package's visual quotes from the superior French Connection a sad harbinger of the decline of thriller-making, with Hackman the exploited one therein. But I digress. Jon G. Tidd
I've thought The Package was a good depiction of how a patsy can be created. As to any resemblance to the JFK assassination, if the shoe fits....
Robert Prudhomme
Anyone remember "The Parallax View" with Warren Beatty from 1974?
Jon G. Tidd
Sure, R.P. That was a direct reference to the Warren Commission. Another great movie showing how a patsy can be set up.
