Ron Bulman Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 Mark Lane is a classic. An American Hero. Liberty Lobby II. He got Hunt's own lawyer to ask him, "Mr. Hunt, what were you asked to testify to and what did you lie about?" "In 1973, after my guilty plea... I did not know anything about higher up government... I wanted to give Nixon the opportunity to be reelected." "Hunt's explanation , that he had committed perjury to prevent the American people from learning the truth about Nixon's role in Watergate crimes, it seemed to me, was not appreciated by the jurors."
Pat Speer Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 I'm too tired to look it up right now, but I believe Joe Trento was a member of this forum, and that I asked him specifically if he still stood by his story. And that he said yes. If I remember correctly, however, he said that Angleton's telling him about the memo didn't mean there had actually been a memo, and that it was possible Angleton was just testing him, or some such thing.
