Tim Carroll
I have made it (almost) through the first 44 boxes and here is the index I have put together so far. This is a very nice gesture. Thanks for going to the trouble to do that! The index is indeed very helpful. Having just read William Harvey's Church Committee interview, it's clear that it can't be the basis for Joan Mellen's assertion that "William Harvey would testify under oath before the Church Committee that on at least two occasions there was White House approval and 'initiative' of the 'specific Rosselli operation' to murder Castro." Mark Knight
Mr. Gratz, I take my hat off to you on this matter. Anything that makes accessing government information easier is a public service...no matter WHAT the current administration may say on the matter. Tim Gratz
Thanks, folks. Remember I have about two boxes yet to go. I will add them by editing my first post. One thing that is apparent is what a hectic schedule the Church Committee had in the summer of 1975. It looks like they had a witness almost every business day of the month of July. When I finish this I think it would be interesting to chart the depositions chronologically and identify the attorney taking the deposition and the committee members who were present. The order in which the committee called the witnesses is also interesting. Edited January 3, 2006 by Tim Gratz
