John Simkin
Any explanation?Jack While Andy and myself were away on our holidays the Forum came under attack from a computer based in Australia. They employed software that used up 98% of our total bandwidth for the month. One again we have had to spend more money to get the Forum back online. We are currently searching for the culprit. What we do know is that the person responsible was using the IP 59.106.128.

Dawn Meredith
Thanks, John. We know Burton is an Aussie and avid defender of official stories...you don't suppose....naw, too obvious. No, his IP is 202.139.22.154 Is there anything about this particular timing that would have caused this attack? Or just a coincidence that you and Andy were on vacation? Lots of truth on this site so it will be under attack. By those opposed to truth. Sure hope they get this person and said criminal is prosecuted to the fullest. Some find free speech scary and offensive. We must endeavor to see to it that a site like this is never silenced. Dawn

John Dolva
Dawn, thank you, the sentiment appreciated. But the finding doesn't in any way belong to me. Whenever I come across a suspicious IP I enter it as a search and generally if it is a problematic IP then a number of sites/organisation dedicated to making/keeping the internet 'good' are already on the case. So just cut and paste IP's into search engine and follow the leads. An aside:: apart from keeping trojans etc out of ones computer with active detect virus and spyware utilities, a visit to http://www.grc.com/default.htm and running 'shieldsup' is a good idea. The site also discusses in depth many problems and fixes.

But that was back in the days that "f-u-c-k" was not in the dictionary and on every movie screen as now. Jack Back in the 1970s we called the truck that drained the outhouse at summer camp the HONEY POT.

Sherry Gutierrez
Project Honey Pot? Interesting name. (deleted) Hope nobody finds this historical etymology offensive. Jack Well Jack, I DO find your post offensive. This is not the Navy, a bar, or your livingroom. It is an educational forum. Young persons interested in the Kennedy assassination read the post here. Women read and post here. Your crude addition was uncalled for and you owe the forum, and especially the women here, an apology.

Dawn (a woman) Unfortunately, one cannot describe the deplorable depths to which everyday language has sunk without quoting the bad words. I seldom go to movies anymore because the writers cover their lack of ability by inserting bad words about having sex with one's mother. And this wonderful internet...did you know that the number one business conducted on the www is PORNOGRAPHY? Just google most any four or five letter word about sex to see deviant behaviors you would not believe. Hey, it is not me, it is out there...and customers are abundant. As for my posting, I was expressing surprise that a well known sexual term would be used as the name of a project. If you were unfamiliar with the term, you have learned something about the real world. Those who use such language should apologize. I do not use it; I am just reporting it.
