  1. CIA to present all their files on Joannides to Federal Court no later than April 30, 2008, as ordered by the court and agreed by all parties.

JFK Secrets to be released within 60 Days

See previous article by Jefferson Morley on 02/29/2008 12:54PM

At a Washington federal court hearing on Wednesday (March 5, 2008) CIA lawyers promised Judge Richard Leon they would comply with an (pdf) appellate court order to produce more information about JFK assassination mystery man George Joannides, a.k.a. "The Man Who Didn't Talk," within 60 days. The information must be produced in another court hearing, scheduled for April 30.

note: The CIA must produced to the court any and all files on Joannides. If not the CIA will be in contempt of a court order.

  2. Why is the CIA trying to block the release of Joannides Documents??

What vital information could be obtained from these classified documents?

    http://bellaciao.org/en/article.php3?id_article=6120

Wade: Its really simple. To release these buried documents would:

    (1) Compromise Methods and Procedures.

    (2) The true identities of CIA operatives and case officers associated with Joannides would be revealed: example...

Fravel Brown; William Kent; Jerry Droller; Lado Fernandez; Johnny Smith: "Lionel"; HL Hunt; Paul Lee; Larry Allen; Mc Cord; Sergio Jaun Capistro; Juan Diaz; Pablo Duran; "Zapata", Rex Beardsley, Robert Bennett; and a host of other "unknowns" and the many operations they were associated with.

I have recently been told by a reliable Pentagon "Source" that this information has been, "FORCED" to the surface and the CIA has no choice but to comply as to the documents relating to the above agents and operatives.

(the above information is now documented Information released before the fact, as to the release dates of the CIA's classified documentation)

Someone kindly sent me this link to an article in The Fourth Decade magazine about the 'Cozy Eight Apartments' on Beckley:

Francesca: perhaps this might be of help in your research.

This is the apartment house behind the Beckley St rooming house. I was recently call a xxxx as to the existence of this apartment house. I was told I was wrong that there was not ANY buildings behind where Oswald lived on Beckley. This is the place where I carved my intials in the drainingborad in the kitcken.

The steps of the red house on the left is the room Oswald rented. Oswald was ONI at this time.

Tosh, thanks for this additional info and the photo. You say that "Oswald was ONI at this time". By ONI, I assume you mean Office of Naval Intelligence. Am I right? How did you find this out?

    Interesting.

Sorry for the delay. I got lost in all the threads.

I think you can still find the file at Camp Maybre, Texas near Austin, 49th Armored Div H.Q.. There was a small reference as to information from Military Fourth Army, Dallas Texas, asking for information and the file of an ONI report from Hensley Field, Naval Air Station, near Mountain Lake, where one claiming to be LHO had signed in at the Gate. Dallas was asking for any and all information that ONI had on this person. ONI's reply was... "..no reply Class 3b refer to HQ for follow up...". That and other matters at Bauchman Lake ONI Naval Reserve Training Center, Dallas Love Field cause me to question if this was the real Oswald on a name similarity. Capt Charles A Tanner, advised that .."he thought it was, because of the request..". The document I referenced is still on file at these two stations, as of 2001. (I was told) Most of the files from Bauchman and Hensley, concerning this matter were taken to Camp Maybre in 1968. (Reference Jay Harrison Texas Researcher)

    Corrections for anybody researching this:

I think it may be Camp Mabry.

    It is Mountain CREEK Lake.

Hensley Field has been closed and the NAS moved to Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth

    It is BACHMAN Lake.

    Jack

Thanks Jack. Your right. Thats what fast typing and poor eyesight will get you and spelling s.... with two t's.. late at night. What year was Hensley closed? Its been awhile since I'v been to Ling Temco Vaught as well as ONI.

Hensley closed about ten years ago and became Naval Air Station Fort Worth, Joint Reserve Base...

the JRB because it also serves Air Force, Marine, Army and AF Building #4...but it is operated

    by the Navy.

    Jack

Again Thanks Jack. Perhaps there are still some old dusty records of the old place still out there. Seems some recently popped up at the Dallas DA why not at Hensley Field. I told researchers years ago before it closed to check on this but they did not...I even told them where to go. It was just easier to call me a xxxx and a fabricator and save the leg work.. I sure hope that CIA matter in Washingtom DC is resolved soon... Then some can go suck eggs. I did tell them about LHO and ONI, and the gate sign in sheets..., years ago.

  6. Mr. Plumlee,

What information did you have on George E. Joannides, if you can recall?

    Steve Rosen

I might have to revive my time line by a few months or so, but this is from memory.

The M-26-7 was formed in Mexico City about 1957 known as the Mexico/Arms Pack. (Joe Westbrook Rosales, Fureta Chomon and others I can not recall at the moment were the founders, I think) The Students from a Democratic Cuban operated from the University of Havana. At first there was no CIA involvement in those activities. This was Pro-Castro days. Castro was in the Mountains with about 80 or so rebels and was known to the CIA as Castro's Jul 26 revolution.

Soon the Students of the University was caught by Batista and some were jailed and some were executed. The group was splintered and most went with Castro's July 26th movement. Just before the M26-7 disbanded and threw in with Castro, the CIA step in and planted operatives within that group, the M26-7. Some of these operatives merged in with Castro's rebels and reported back to the CIA at Miami's Wave Station. (not JM/WAVE; it had not been formed as yet; and too, it was not known as Miami Station as yet) Operative Howard out of Washington DC was the POC (Point of Contact from this group of operatives) William Morgan who was with the Castro rebels was one of the CIA operatives who reported back, via cut-outs, back to CIA HDQ's Covert Action Group, (CAG) That's the first time I was aware of "Howard" which I some years later found out was Joannides. However, he would not become of interest until the early sixties after the DR and the Fair Play organizations and Oswald came on the scene.

This is a rough background as recall from memory. However, it is documented and If the CIA does release their files we can all read about how the CIA supported Batista, The M26-7 as well as Castro's July 26th Revolution, all at the same time.

I'm sure some will take issue with this rough recap on one operation which ran about six years. None the less it is my viewpoint and I think if the documents are released it will support this recap and other matters to some degree. All of the above is perhaps still classified. But I do not think my memory is "Classified". I have not released any documents to this effect and my seven years is long over on these matters. I'm not sure if any of this early background helps you in anyway...., but I thought it might. I think Harry Dean might have matters he could add, as to the early sixties material..., but I do not speak for Harry.
