I am sure we can make this happen, Jim; in fact, I am looking forward to putting something together for you.

Hey Jim:
The new website looks great! Well done and congratulations. Nice to have met you in Dallas this year.

Here, here, Robert. To me the real scary thing, as a Canadian outsider looking in, is just what is Donald Trump? He is certainly not a religious person, but is he a religious zealot? He was willing to lie down with religious zealots; is he a racist/bigot? He was willing to lie down with racist's/bigots [KKK]. And perhaps of importance, of those who surround him, and those who will approach him as potential political aides, who won't he listen to?

Hello Bart:
Looks like a good line-up with some very interesting subject matter. All the best with this and say "Hello" to Ian Griggs for me if he is able to attend.

Hi Steve:
I go into this memorandum and other's relating to various Commission staff meetings and members of the FBI as they viewed, on several occasions, the film of Abraham Zapruder [and others] in my unpublished manuscript on the wounding of John Connally. As far as I can ascertain this was the first such meeting of these particular "minds" and it is also the actual genesis of the SBT. I have always argued, against general consensus thinking, that Arlen Specter was not the "father" of the SBT and he was not. Based upon memorandum I possess from the J. Lee Rankin files the actual initiator of the SBT, the "one staff member" left unidentified by name in this Gauthier memorandum you have highlighted, was actually Norman Redlich. That is not to say that Specter and David Belin, who was also present at this meeting, would not become the most vocal proponents of the "truth" of the SBT because they were. But I reiterate - Arlen Specter was not the father/inventor of the SBT

Hi Steve:
I sent you a PM last evening, did you receive it?

Steve:
As I indicated earlier, I have some file finding aids at home that may be of use in this regard. I will try to reference them this evening and get back to you if I find anything.

And another link, this one the original documentation from the second link I sent you in my previous e-mail. The source is file 100-10461-6597, a memorandum dated June 10, 1964, direct to Dallas FO SAC, Gordon Shanklin [who "is" 100-10461]

Again, copy and paste into your browser to read.

No problem, Steve; a couple more links for you to follow regarding these items. The first seems to parallel info in your original post [see p. 4 & 5 of this document]. I suspect this may be from one of the massive report compilations put together by Robert Gemberling. In the second link, check out the entry at the bottom of p. 6 of this link. It would appear that there were possibly 28 35mm negatives given this "B3" designation by the FBI. If so, the negatives should be at NARA. I have other research aids at home which might be of use and I will check them out later for you.
You will have to copy and paste these links into your browser to get them to open.

As a follow up for you Steve; follow the link below. When this main page opens, click on the "Browse Archives" link; when it opens, click on the first entry, "Collections" then when this opens click on the "FBI Records" link [not the FBI Records Files link]. In this FBI Records section you will find all of the FBI files collected by Harold, including the DL 100 10461 file as well as the "105" files. What I have found in the past is that in perusing some of these files, the majority of which were accumulated by Harold via the FOIA lawsuit process, that there are redactions which you do not find in later archival holdings, such as Mary Ferrell. However, as indicated earlier, you can access all of the Dallas FBI FO files here and they are, in my opinion, invaluable.

Hi Steve:
If you go to the Weisberg collection at Hood College and put DL 100 10461 into the search engine it will bring up the entire file for you. I just did this quickly from work so have not had a chance to peruse this but I am sure you can narrow your search. Actually the Weisberg collection is the best source for the entire Dallas file on the assassination.

"Far out there..." is very apt! I spent about 20 minutes in conversation with Harry in a reading room at NARA in 1995, at which time he was trying to convince me that "the" truth would be known once his next book was published. One of the most bizarre contacts I have ever had in my 50+ years dealing with this subject matter. It ended with Harry inviting me to stay at his place while I was in Washington, an offer which I kindly refused. I often used to indicate to a fellow researcher that Harry's next book should have been titled, "Killing The English Language."

Hey James:
You and others may be interested in portions of the attached [link to a PDF document], an oral history Richard Mosk, Willen's associate in defense of the WC workings, gave to his son, Matthew Mosk, "an Emmy-winning reporter and investigator for ABC news..." in November of 2011. Mosk's ramblings about his time with the Warren Commission begin on page 30.

Hi Chris:
Yes - I have numerous examples of Heiberger's initials on FBI documents and memoranda, including lab reports. I am currently away from home but will be returning later this evening. I will either post examples here tomorrow or send you a message.

Hey Chris:
And if you want to see what Heiberger looked like, follow the link below.

Hi Chris:
I may be wrong but I believe these are the initials of Henry Heiberger of the FBI lab.

Well, Paul, to paraphrase the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan; you are entitled to your own opinions. However, what you are not entitled to is your own facts. And would you be so kind as to enlighten us all as to the precise nature of the "final facts" you contend will be revealed in late October of 2017?

Jim.
I am very interested in that Cadigan material you posted. Where does one find these kind of original, unedited versions of WC testimony? Are there specific boxes that have this? Any kind of index to specific witnesses?
Regards,
Stu Wexler
Hi Stu:
I believe I can give you some help with these materials. I will not be home until later this evening but I will take a look in my files when I return. As I recall these "unedited" transcripts were produced by Ward & Paul, given to the Warren Commission for destruction at the end of the Commissions tenure but this did not occur. I do know that members of the FBI who testified were given access to these same unedited transcripts and allowed to make changes to the documents before being returned to members of the Commission staff for "publication." I also recall that there are unedited transcripts of all of the deposition sessions that occurred during the lifetime of the Commission.
Again, as soon as I return home and can [hopefully] find the specific file locations, I will contact you.
Look forward to seeing you in Dallas for the Lancer Conference!

Craig:
I, like Robert, would very much like to see the "recreations/documentaries" that show multiple malfunctions of 6.5mm ammunition manufactured by the WCC, and specifically malfunctions that you appear to be arguing are the results of "design flaws" incorporated into this same ammunition by technicians at Western. Can you provide us with links, documentation, dates on which these "recreations" occurred, under what conditions, where these "recreations" took place, results, etc.?

This is indeed sad news. I first met Mark in 1967 - in the "good old days" of initial research. I was beyond flattered when he asked me to contribute to the Citizens Committee of Inquiry and it was through Mark that I met west coast researchers such as Fred Newcomb, Perry Adams, and others. Though he and I and Harold Weisberg often agreed to disagree, he never failed to answer any query I put his way.
Rest in peace, Mark.

Hey Robert:

Let me add my congratulations, Bart - well done. And I echo Jim's sentiments - it is unfortunate that you could not join us in Dallas this year for the Lancer Conference.
