It's written by Ben Stearns and it's described as "outlining his career" and "..history of Collins Radio under his leadership". It has 26 picture pages and you can order it online if you want. You have a large number of hypotheses as I read the above Bill. You'll be a busy boy! Under your research methodology heading, I'm usually used to seeing how the variables of a theory will be tested. Gathering subject data and utilizing statistical analysis will probably not be called for unless you're doing something I'm not aware of. Are you doing a literature review or contacting primary/secondary/tertiary sources to bolster your tenants (sp) for each theory? Are you eventually headed towards a publication? I'm curious. Mr. Weaver I adimre Mr. White for his work. But I can´t keep my mouth shut when he accuse Wim for being dishonest and accuse him for disrupt forums. If Veciana was on a list of Chauncey Holt's regarding who was in Dealey Plaza, I'm not sure I'd give it credence at this point. Given the evidence so far, I don't believe Veciana was there BUT the evidence so far doesn't nullify the possibility he was in Dealey Plaza. I find nothing that indicates Veciana was EVER ASKED WHERE he was on 11-22-63. I find this hard to believe given Fonzi's relationship with him. Jason Vermeer

I cannot find a single reference to his exact whereabouts anywhere. I would have thought Fonzi would have covered this but I cannot locate it in any materials since "The Last Investigation". Some time ago, I asked a member of "The Southern Florida Research Group" but he did not have the information at that time either. Ok, Mr. Hemming. I understand what your saying. Personally, I think Veciana was likely sitting in front of a t.v. somewhere in Florida just before, during and after the assassination. He mentions recognizing Oswald on the t.v. but I can't pinpoint the locale or time frame. I'm not trying to implicate Veciana, I'm trying to nullify Dankbaar's hypothesis of Files seeing Veciana in Dealey Plaza. This is in all due respect of him. If someone want's to thump me for that, they better do it from a distance or when I'm not looking. I don't look like your average researcher in all likelyhood. Mark Mark, It becomes apparent that you believe I have not studied what Wim has put out in an objective manner. Your conclusion is inaccurate for I was following the story PRIOR to Wim taking over rights. You might also ask yourself how I once was described as a "genuine researcher" by Wim himself but have now become slagged off as a "character" he "doesn't have time to deal with". How did that happen? If you believe Wim obtaining a non-answer from a secondary source (Veciana's son) IS COOBERATION for confirmation of File's presence in Dealey Plaza and by me pointing this out is a "cheap shot" then your own objectivety is questionable. Wim Dankbaar has posted some early reviews on his website regarding his new book "Files on JFK". John Hughes - Co-author of "Sam and JFK" - "...Wim Dankbaar and his colleagues Zack Shelton and Jim Marrs, have provided the public....". Jim Marrs? Wim drops some more names on this site as he lists his correspondance with esteemed researchers such as Gaeton Fonzi, Fabian Escalante, Dick Russell, Robert Groden, Walt Brown, Peter Dale Scott etc... Do they all believe the James Files story or merely offered opinion and assistance along the way? I recently asked my membership on Wim's forum be terminated. He suspected and I agreed that I would have nothing positive to say regarding his theory James Files was shooting from the grassy knoll. What concerned me most about the gathering of that forum was the cult-like atmosphere that was beginning to develop regarding the prisoner who claims the act of shooting Kennedy was akin to "taking out the garbage." Wim has begun posting some of Files "poetry" on his site. He is affectionately referred to as "Jimmy". Members are beginning to parrot some of Files phrases as one would do with any of Arnold Schwarzenagger's(sp) characters. Questioning the veracity of the Files theory will not get you banished from the forum. It is said questioning Wim's motivation will. The moment I began to recognize File's charisma/legend overriding what little objectivety I felt Wim had left was the moment I knew that the Files story and Wim were practically the same anyway. Questioning his story is a direct threat to Wim's theory and the resultant book sales. I conducted psychological assessments on a diverse prison population for about half a year in the 1990's. Some of them were headed for minimum security get aways...others would go to supermax centers. One thing they all had in common, in my opinion anyway, was they all lied the same. You just get used to it. You can smell it, feel it a mile away. When I rented "Confessions of an Assassin", I saw the same body language I saw years ago of a xxxx. Many will discount this as a gut feeling and not objective. I realize that. I've only got my own experience to go on. In researching James Files, there are just two instances that I cannot accept as adding credibility to the Files theory. The first being Antonio Veciana. James Files says Veciana was a good friend and in Dealey Plaza during the assassination. Files saw alot that day. He was even able to see a shot hitting JFK's head 1/1000 before his shot. Since Veciana was still alive it seemed natural that this would be the best way to cooberate Files claims. My question to Wim..."Did Veciana tell your investigators he knew Files?" Bob Vernon claimed on JFK Lancer that he did not. One of Wim's responses was... "No, he never reacted, or it must be that his son told me that he has 'no comment'". Which one is it? If Wim corresponds with Gaeton Fonzi then was Fonzi able to ask directly since nobody did before the book came out? Another researcher told me that Fonzi still sees Veciana from time to time. The second problem is the claim that Files did not have access to any JFK material during his incarceration. I heard the interview and thought to myself..."Hmmm...this guy just got done reading 'The Last Investigation'". Based on information acquired in the public domain, I quote the following correspondance from James Files to Mr. Joe West. Mr West has asked Files about is recollections (7-30-92)... "...The two (items) tha I know of outside the movies and books are....". Pow. Files just admits he has information OUTSIDE the movies and books which one could reasonably deduct he knows what at least are INSIDE SOME movies and books. One of the things Files claimed he knew to be outside the books was that David Phillips perjured himself before HSCA. Most of us knew this to be covered in Summers "Conspiracy" which was written well before Files was imprisoned in 1991. There are other problems with the Files theory but what concerns me the most is alot of younger researchers are parroting the information as fact and it is leaking into other forums. I maintain that Files story lacks cooberation and that the book was put out admittedly without peer review or verification. I still maintain that they did make an attempt to control the conditions of their experiment and they were able to get a bullet to tumble and mimic the wound JC received in his back. I do not want to leave the impression I believe in a lone gunman, in fact, since they tested their hypothesis scientifically, it may be of some use to test a muzzled or silenced round as Pat indicated earlier to see if a similar wound could be duplicated. I don't purport to be a ballistics expert but, like Al Carrier, I live in Iowa, grew up in Iowa, and I'd have to say I'm one hell of a shot at long distance. Jason. On a side note, I'm still baffled that few people notice Myers logic flaw in his belief that the out of place microphone necessitates an acoustic misinterpretation. It's a slight of hand. In essence, what he is saying is the following..... Since the microphone was out of place the matched gunshot impulses on the tape are not gunshot impulses at all. It's like saying Joe blow had a cassette recorder running during the assassination and picked up the shots...he said he was on the second floor of the records building but video shows him on the third floor...naturally then, his cassette recorder did not record the sound of shots. Hello Pat, It seems what you are saying is that because of the fact that, in their experiment, the bullet shattered 2 ribs instead of one then their hypothesis is nullified? You also indicated home-made silencers leave oblong wounds. Is it your contention that the "key hole wound" was caused by a bullet fired from a weapon with a home made silencer? Logically speaking Pat, I still wouldn't say this nullified the programs ENTIRE hypothesis line (really there is more than one). Here's why... In one experiment, the round fired into the gelatinous (simulated tissue) clearly showed a "yaw" effect or "tumble". This occurred between the two simulated figures of Kennedy and JC as well. It's shown in slow motion. The fact that this particular bullet shattered 2 ribs instead of one is a meaningless variable to use to rule out Kennedy and JC being hit by the same bullet because obviously, JC's rib structure cannot be duplicated or completely controlled. I say, they merely made a convincing case for a tumbling bullet between JFK and JC. Beyond the three wounds-your assertion becomes correct. In watching the Discovery channel's "....Beyond the Majic bullet", I was impressed by the means to which they went beyond the single bullet THEORY and actually attempted at least some level of scientific validation-an experiment which can be replicated. Let's face it, JC's back wound bore a striking resemblance to the tumbling bullet done in the experiment. I'm not talking about the inability of the bullet to replicate all 7 wounds exactly. The ragged wound on JC's back requires explanation by those who theorize he was hit by a seperate shot. All of JC's wounds require ALTERNATIVE explanations if one will dismiss the Majic bullet theory, especially if one does not consider the back wound to be one of entrance. I will assume someone with much more ballistic experience will provide some insight. ((On a side note, I'm leaving in a couple hours to pick up a Benelli SBE-II in a couple hours-any of you folks have strong feelings on this shotgun please let me know asap Oh, secondly, Dale myers tenant of the microphone being out of position may have some relevance but this variable does nothing to discount the impulses picked up on the dictabelt. the logic that an out of position mike rules out the impulses as being those of a rifle flies in the face of logic.
