Landis' age (88) is the only thing working in his favor that he is not just a fraudster looking for cash. That said, I am skeptical. IF he is lying, it is a win-win for me: just goes to show you what XXXXX these agents are (Hill, Blaine, etc.).
Wow---all the hype and national articles are making Landis forthcoming book a best seller:

Hello! That was Boring, not Roberts.
Landis was one of the nine agents who drank that morning and the most sleep deprived: he left at 5 am and had to report for duty at 8 am.
First Sam Kinney tells his neighbor that he found the bullet in the limo and placed it on the stretcher. Now Landis is saying HE was the one who found it and put it on the stretcher. Who's next Clint Hill?
Wow! The news articles and hype for Paul Landis book made it jump from the hundreds of thousands to 595 and TOP NEW RELEASE in US Biographies on Amazon! The Final Witness: A Kennedy Secret Service Agent Breaks His Silence After Sixty Years: Landis, Paul: 9781641609449: Amazon.com: Books
I am actually stunned by all these Landis headlines/news because the hype for his forthcoming book on Amazon gave the impression he was going to DEBUNK conspiracy theories. I am confused LOL!
You have to admit, though: Landis is no "conspiracy theorist" or wacky writer- he is a principal in the case, ostensibly with much built-in credibility. Even if he is lying, this merely adds to the lack of credibility of several of the agents claims. It is a win-win for those on the CT side.
Thanks! I am blown away by this Vanity Fair story and the TMZ story, as the Amazon hype for Landis' book (coming out next month) was that it was going to DEBUNK CONSPIRACY THEORIES!!
This has backfired dramatically.
Interestingly enough, Landis says that for a long time -- he was pretty sure LHO acted alone. But says this now ... "At this point, I’m beginning to doubt myself. Now I begin to wonder."
