  1. Looks like the stock is resting on the car hood and the holstered revolver handle masking the rifle/shotgun trigger area (John Dolva)

You are of course correct, John. Well done.

I'll put my incompetence down to an excessive amount of Christmas cheer. Happy holidays to all.

  2. An Update:

I just received an email from Manuel Balbona who was Fermin DeGoicoechea's brother-in-law. He said that Fermin died two months ago in Miami. He did not offer any other details.

    FWIW.

  3. Does anybody have any information on Patrol Car #337?

It is shown at an odd angle on the Elm Street Extension on Roberdeau’s diagram.

Any information on the car at all is appreciated,

    Adam,

Is this the vehicle in question on the left of frame below?

I remember reading somewhere that this car was parked over an alleged pool of blood. Does anyone have any information about that?

  4. Mr. Baldwin,

I addition to John's list of questions, can I add the following?

Is it true that you used the alias Bill Johnson? If so, was this at the suggestion of James McCord?

  5. To compliment the existing hard evidence that Bill cites, a priority addition should be all CIA and any other government files on George Joannides and the DRE. I believe it is up to us private citizens to petition hard and to put the pressure on.

I would lay odds that amongst those pages exists evidence of conspiracy. :)

    Game over.

  6. In case it hasn't been mentioned before, Byrd was instrumental in the formation of the Dallas Naval Air Station in 1941 which included the Navy Pilot Training Center.

Something else that may be of interest is that in October of 1962, Byrd and James Ling created a multi million dollar personal holding company called Alpha-Omega Corp. The major holding of which is securities of Ling-Temco-Vought, employers of Malcolm Wallace.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned.

    FWIW.

  7. Martin Underwood, former advance man for Kennedy and Johnson, confirmed to the ARRB that he met in Mexico City with CIA station chief Win Scott in 1966. Scott told him that a plane arrived in Mexico City from Havana on the morning of 11/22/63, and that one passenger, Fabian Escalante, got off and boarded another plane headed for Dallas.

That is interesting Ron. I hadn't heard that before.

Escalante would have been 22 in 1963. Curious indeed.

    Escalante and Gaeton Fonzi below.

  8. who else was Hoover in bed with?

Clyde Tolson? Not that there's anything wrong with that....

    James

I need proof, is that what Clyde said?

Mmmm, tough crowd. That loud whooshing sound you may have heard was a joke flying right over your head. Granted, it wasn't much of a joke but then I'm not much of a comedian.

That aside, I fear an attempted exchange of ideas here would be like having a conversation with a squeaky gate hinge. Now, how does that block out feature work again?

  9. Armando Estrada had worked under Esteban Ventura [s.I.M.] and Marriano Faget [b.R.A.C.] under Batista.

He was onboard the m/v Santa Ana with Jorge Mas Canosa during the GITMO "Northwoods Op"; was investigated by Gene Propper, et al.!! This was because of his having attended both the DomRep C.O.R.U. meetings, and the R/V with the Chilean Admiral [Alexandria, VA] just before the Letelier assassination. (Gerry Hemming)

This Armando Estrada, is he the same guy who went through Benning with Posada Carriles, Felix Rodriguez and Mas Canosa?

  10. Anyone have any information on what Orlando Bosch Avila was up to in early 1961, all I have is he flee's Cuba in early 1960, and relocates in Miami. By 31st Aug same year he is a leading figure in the exile terrorist group MIRR. Thanks Steve.

    Steve,

I hope I get this right, but I believe Bosch defected in July of 1960. Until then he was Chief of the 26th of July movement in Las Villas Provence. Around August of 1960, Bosch formed the heart of MIRR.

Early 1961, Bosch was mixing with Frank Sturgis and Alexander Rorke in Miami while calling for the defection of Rebel officers.

  11. Adam,

Don't forget about the Rademacher casing found near the fence (see below). This one was then allegedly connected to James Files. I don't want to open that can of worms but is worthy of mention none-the-less.

I also hold the view that shell casings may well have been planted. Ironically, I also think that any bullets fired at the president on the day had their casing's retrieved. All except the planted evidence to implicate LHO of course.

  12. This has likely been asked in the past, and if you are not at liberty to answer, I unserstand. BUT how do you come up with these pictures? It's just amazing. John lists a group of names and witin 24 hours, like magic, you've posted their pic. On a regular basis!!! (Dawn Meredith)

    Hi Dawn,

It's no great mystery. I have been collecting images for a long time and it is amazing how quickly they accumulate. I have lots of sources, some who like to remain anonymous and some who were around at the time. Other photographs I have been able to sweet talk from private collectors.

    Cheers,

    James

  13. This image shows Shackley lurking in the background (center frame). Interesting to note, the man to his right (our left and partially obscured) is James Bill Lair. One of the Hmong pilots I was able to contact told me that Lair was indeed the man we have come to know as Pakse Base Man. We have debated this before and some feel this not to be the case.

I don't think we will ever settle that one but James Bill Lair is certainly a fascinating character. I know Lair was not happy with what Shackley brought to the table regarding how the war in Laos was to be run.

    FWIW.
