  1. Yes, I believe the JCS were not active in the planning of the big event, but did approve it - in order to get their war in Vietnam and LBJ approved the war ahead of time.  Wed. (tomorrow evening) will be the last of the JFKA presentations.  It will be Questions and Answers only. Doug Horne and John Newman will be on the panel giving the answers. Could be interesting.

  2. Doug Horne wrote a book " JFK's War with the National Security Establishment: Why JFK was Assassinated" .   I ordered it (paperback)  from Amazon for $13 (before shipping and taxes). It appears that the book was written in 2013 or 2014.

  3. I was 11 yrs. old then.  I still remember the fear that everyone that I knew that we would have a nuclear war with Russia.  JFK rejected this idea (put forward by LeMay and his followers).  And,in doing so, JFK saved the world .  If there were any survivors, they would have been fighting the next war with sticks and stones (see quote from Einstein).  Everdybody living now on this planet owes their life to JFK.  And what did we to JFK for this accomplishment - murder him.  Dylan said (in MMF) , the age of the anti-Christ has only just begun.

Also , see Dylan's Freewheeling album (his second or third album)- everybody dreams about seeing themselves walking around with noone else. I'll let you be in my dream if you let me be in yours- Dylan said that.

  4. Robert B., I remember - it was in the first floor of a church. I was going to SUNY Albany at the time. I still  remember the takeaway - the Warren Commision was established  to prove LHO was the lone gunman. Evidence to the contrary was ignored or destroyed. Most Americans , at the time, believed the Warren Commission was established to determine who killed JFK, but that was not true.

  5. Ty, good job. Ron, yes, there is a lot in Doug's presentation. He mentioned that he and John Newman 's thoughts on the JFK assassination are converging- that's  my word. There was a presentation by Jacob H. last night. I especially liked the piece of his presentation on LBJ's role in the coverup. I may have read too much into the presentation, but he shows that LBJ was the one who ordered JFK's body be flown to Bethesda. And the secret service staff showed their guns to the Parkland medical staff in order to get JFK's body out of Parkland.  I did not focus that much on LBJ's role in the coverup prior to Jacob's  presentation but now I have a better understanding of that aspect of the coverup. Next Wed., there will be a wrap up  discussion on the JFK assassination. Doug Horne may be a part of that wrap up.

  6. MMF is on the CD called My Rough and Rowdy Ways, which is also the title of a song written by Jimmy Reed and Elsie McWilliams,,

For years and years I've rambled
I drank my wine and gambled
But then one day I thought I'd settle down
I met a sweet little lady
And she told me that she'd be my baby
We build a cottage in the old hometown
I can't forget my good old rambling days
Them old freight trains keep calling me always
I may be rough, may be wild
May act tough but it's just my style
'Cause I can't forget my good old rough and rowdy ways
Sometimes when I meet a bounder
Who knew me when I was a rounder
He grabs my hand and he'll say, "Boy, have a drink"
We go down to the poolroom
Get in the gang and then soon
    It's broad daylight and I ain't had a wink
I can't forget my good old rambling days
Them old freight trains keep calling me always
May be rough, may be wild
May act tough but it's just my style
'Cause I can't forget my good old rough and rowdy ways
  7. Desmond Fitzgerald and Samuel Halpern.  Per Bill Kelly, "Well Samuel Halpern was an assistant to CIA official Desmond FitzGerald, who was encouraging AMLASH to kill Castro – with a high powered rifle. Halpern and FitzGerald were having lunch together in Geogetown when they learned of the assassination, and as they were leaving FitzGerald remarked that he wondered wheather “his Cubans” – the Pathfinder Cubans trained at JMWAVE, were involved, as they were the ones paid and trained to kill Castro." DAP also wondered out loud if the Cubans trained to kill Castro ended up killing JFK.

  8. I will post the link here once it is available.  Probably not until next week.  The presentation takes over 2 hours- if I am remembering correctly , there are over 100 charts/pages  Doug covers a lot of ground about JFK and his murder. He called it a high level presentation, but there were a lot of details in it I simply was not aware of. To me, the presentation is a game- changer.  Best presentation I have seen on JFK and his murder since I saw Mark Lane in 1975 in Albany, NY.

  9. Obama on Dylan:

    One of them listens...
    President Obama on Bob Dylan
"Here's what I love about Dylan: He was exactly as you'd expect he would be. He wouldn't come to the rehearsal; usually, all these guys are practicing before the set in the evening. He didn't want to take a picture with me; usually all the talent is dying to take a picture with me and Michelle before the show, but he didn't show up to that. He came in and played 'The Times They Are A-Changin'' A beautiful rendition. The guy is so steeped in this stuff that he can just come up with some new arrangement, and the song sounds completely different. Finishes the song, steps off the stage I'm sitting right in the front row comes up, shakes my hand, sort of tips his head, gives me just a little grin, and then leaves. And that was it then he left. That was our only interaction with him. And I thought: That's how you want Bob Dylan, right? You don't want him to be all cheesin' and grinnin' with you. You want him to be a little skeptical about the whole enterprise. So that was a real treat."
May be an image of 2 people and people standing
