    It’s  a combination of the volume of references, the confidence of the author, and the manner and approach to the subject.

    To be sure Paul, you have asked, on several occasions, if we have anything besides CIA Docs equating Mankel with QJWIN. In this doc, we have a Rockefeller Commission writer, who is charged with investigating QJWIN, who never even raises the question of the Mankel ID. I think this is as close as we have gotten, that I know of, to fulfilling your desire for documentation from outside the CIA.

    From other Docs, IIRC, his cover was to sell vending machines. With the art merchant cover, mentioned above, and, IIRC,  other covers mentioned elsewhere, it seems like his handlers were always trying to find him something to keep him busy.

    I am also curious as to what signifficance Dakar plays.

    No Paul, I have not.

    I just noticed that Dinkins was making the claim about being a communications code cryptographer, being persecuted and calling-out the  US Governemet on propaganda campaign; all before the assassination.

    I would have to seriously shift gears to really understand and make any sense of the military installations, groups, hierarchies and responsibilities that you and Steve are sorting-out.

    I did notice that the ordinance groups do not match-up; between my links and the groups that Steve is looking at.

    Shadows are no different than a sidewalk or railroad tracks,  when we are talking about the sun as a light source.

    The tracks are That same width and do not converge as they get further from you. In fact they never get further from you because it is a picture and it is in two dimensions, rendered on your computer screen.

    The same holds true with shadows as long as the light source is far enough away to render any angles negligible, like the sun.
