  1. Would also be great when you upload these videos to YOUTUBE, that you indicate the date of the interview/podcast/video/ etc. Thanks
  2. Keep in mind that both Orlov and GDM were contacts of Moore. I believe Bouhe advised GDM of the Oswalds, as they had met several emigres by that time (including Max Clark) and the community was abuzz about the dire straits of the recently arrived couple. But it is not inconceivable the Moore was pushing Orlov to seek them out too.
  3. The print copy has the complete end notes and more added, as it was published AFTER the 2 ebook volumes
  4. We need to remember that GDM would provide information to government agencies on someone for only two reasons: 1) to puff up his own ego as an important person; or 2) as a way to get something in return. Your rationale on why the CIA asked GDM to keep an eye on the Oswalds is reasonable, except that we now know so much more about the CIA files on LHO. He was not only already on their radar screens, but he was also being leveraged by them probably since his days in the USMC. Returning to Dallas was another mission and I think completely independent from the FBI keeping tabs on him. It's sad to see how the FBI offices played yoyo with LHO's files and case assignment but I attribute that to how Hoover fragmented the information each office possessed. I think Moore would have been requested to look into LHO in Dallas/Fort Worth regardless of what the FBI was or was not doing. Nancy W
  5. Hi In early Dec 1957, J. Walton Moore visits GDM/JDM for the first time to interview him on the Yugoslavia trip. GDM gives him a printed bio background and resume. (J. Walton Moore memo to CIA chief 5/1/1964). He files a series of reports to the CIA on GDM ICA Trip as case A68221. He is impressed with GDM's powers of observation and recommends his reports as an analysis tool. The two men struck up a friendship and tennis partnership, with Jeanne included, and by 1960, Moore called GDM a "Cleared contact" in his reports to CIA HQ. Moore's parents had been missionaries in China and this resulted in many social discussion with the GDMs on the cultures of the world. This relationship held up until the GDMs left for Haiti in 1963. In the summer of 1962, the GDMs were still very socially engaged with Moore. When I mention the meeting with Moore in July, I did not mean to imply that Moore asked him at that time to insert himself into the lives of the Oswalds. Quite the opposite. Both Dick Russell and Epstein placed the timing of the Moore/GDM interaction regarding the Oswald in Sept 1962. This was confirmed by Jeanne when I interviewed her in So. Cal. By that time, GDM had already met the Oswalds and was concerned (like all the Russian emigres) about his Soviet defection and return. That's when he asked Moore about them and Moore then asked to be kept informed about the Oswalds. Just the same as GDM was a "cleared contact" to provide information on others, both here and abroad. Hope that helps.
  6. Mary Ferrell told me that in 11/1983, Arch K. gave ALL of his papers to her. He held to his dictate that he would only spend 20 years on researching to solve the JFK assassination. Come that time, he cut himself off. If this actually happened, then Arch's documents are now at MFF. I know that Mary used colored folders to designate when she incorporated file gifts from other researchers into her own collection. I do not know what color she might have used for Arch. For files I shared under a designation of NW-###, she used purple folders.
  7. DSL said he was approached by a friend-of-a-friend with the name of one of the teens. Through that contact, he was able to scout out the other two. On the program, he purposely used pseudonyms (he called one Seth). Nancy
  8. Although I do have the Kindle versions (in two volumes due to size limits) available, they do not have the total content of the Print single volume which also has almost 600 extensive endnotes. The source citations and endnotes provide much historical content without disrupting the narrative flow in the book. 9. On an episode of Night Fright, David Lifton was on the show with his friend/attorney Bill Blackwell. DSL spoke of finding three high school witnesses who had watched JFK/JBK arrive at Love Field. They then took the Stemmons Fwy southbound and decided to stop at the overpass to see the motorcade. They parked on the far left (fast lane) shoulder and walked down the grass on the Stemmons on-ramp off of Elm Street and were looking to the east. Just as the JFK Limo began to enter the on-ramp, all three said the car stopped. JBK was trying to climb back out of the car - for the second time. DSL connected this event as aligning with his hypothesis that the plotters intended to remove the president from the limo and put him in an ambulance. I know that usually DSL did not find credible witnesses who came forth later with blockbuster information (for example, he did not believe G. Reid about giving LHO change on 11/22), yet he seemed to put a lot of stock in what these three students related. Did anyone ever talk to DSL about this 1:1?
  10. Jim - I must say that David and I talked/debated about Ruth and Michael Paine for over two decades. He had interviewed Michael and I had interviewed Ruth (both in the late 90's) and we compared notes and ideas relentlessly. My beliefs are that Ruth and Michael are very different people and require study independently. Neither one is responsible for the thoughts and actions of the other. Looking at them this way helps to define the relationship each had with Lee and Marina. The embassy letter authorship and genesis is not yet resolved in my mind; as such, it is a continued topic in my on-going research. I plan to pursue the typewriter testing issue and will advise findings.
  11. I'm not sure. There are three versions of the handwritten document at Swarthmore College in the Ruth Hyde Papers there. I saw them myself when I visited in 1997-98. More recently, Max Good has confirmed they still exist in that archive. We know the typed version of the letter as CE15. As I understand David's final landing place on the Paines, he believed they were not part of any big plot, not co-conspirators, not handlers, but instead unwitting hosts based on a request from, most likely, Ruth Forbes Young, Michael's mother. Given that, I am curious how David dealt with that 11/9/63 letter that was eventually intercepted by the FBI informant on 11/18, very likely the USPS. Also, was the typed version examined by the FBI Lab to determine that it was typed on Ruth Paine's typewriter, to the exclusion of all other typewriters? Your thoughts would be appreciated.
  12. In the last few years when David Lifton has appeared on various podcasts, he was often joined by a friend Bill Blackwell, who was described as an attorney who met Lifton several years ago in Southern California. He seemed to be well versed on David's theories, his latest research, etc. Perhaps he will have some information on the status of the estate materials. I believe he now lives near So. Lake Tahoe.
