  1. James, As chance would have it, I just came by a document with JMMARC mentione in it. The document reads 'Hunt's agency crypt [JMMARC]'. So presumably it refers to him. The RIF number is 180-10143-10181 Sorry, I don't have access to a scanner at the moment. The file also mentions Roselli, Richard Cain, Fred Black, Manuel Artime. The document seems to be a note from the HSCA. John
  2. Website MyFootballClub has achieved its target of recruiting 50,000 fans - only three months after launching its bid to take over a football club. Four clubs have already approached the website, which will now collect £35 from each member towards a £1.4m takeover fund to buy a club. Members will have the right to vote on all major decisions affecting the club. "There has been much takeover talk but this has caught the fans' imagination," creator Will Brooks told BBC Sport. "The website has received over £100,000 in six hours." A new fan base of tens of thousands will greatly enhance a club's prospects MyFootballClub's Will Brooks Currently, Leeds is the club members would most like to take over, followed by Cambridge United, Nottingham Forest, Accrington Stanley, Barnet and Brighton. After reaching the milestone of 50,000 members, Brooks has now set his sights on surpassing Barcelona's 155,000 membership base. Brooks added: "In three months, over 50,000 have registered with MyFootballClub and now hundreds are becoming members every day. In time, we could match Barcelona's 155,000 owners." Four clubs - from the Football League and the Conference - have been in touch with Brooks to explore the possibility of being taken over by the website. "To be in a position where clubs are now coming to us is quite an endorsement," said Brooks. "A new fan base of tens of thousands will greatly enhance the club's prospects. "On top of money from the MyFootballClub members, there will also be a significant boost in ticket and merchandise sales, as well as the potential for more lucrative sponsorship and television deals." Barcelona's fans vote on who will be the club's president every four years but Brooks' vision for any club taken over by MyFootballClub offers supporters a more radical model of involvement. "The football club will be run in an extremely prudent manner, with all the requisite personnel and expertise at every level," he revealed. 606: DEBATE MyFootballClub aims to democratise football. Do you agree? "Club employees will brief members and all major decisions - on and off the pitch - will be put to the members' vote." Over the last three months the website has negotiated a sponsorship deal with EA Sports and brought in former Fulham managing director Michael Fiddy to provide legal advice. The Financial Services Authority has also approved the setting up of the MyFootballClub Trust to safeguard members' interests. "Members will own the football club through the MyFootballClub Trust," said Brooks. "Every member has one share in the Trust and therefore one vote." http://www.myfootballclub.co.uk/
  3. I'm going through a lot of Cuba related documents on my cryptonym project, so I will let you know if I come across anything. John
  4. I have become aware of the fact that the advert was originally to run in the Washington Post, but was pulled at the last minute. The Post then began calling around offering the advert space at half price so as not to lose too much reveneue. Obviously it was less trouble and less money not to publish Mr.Kuntzler's advert. Very interesting. John
  5. I have to agree with Tim here. I just read the advert in the NY Times while, at times, holding my head in my hands. What a great oportunity this was, two full paes of whatever content we needed to get out on the Kennedy assassination. Naming where he thinks the shots came from and who the shooters were is very tricky business. The story of sarti et al is far from verified and the Mac Wallace identification is disputed. Mr. Kuntzler casts quite a wide web of conspirators here. Though I agree that some on them were quite involved, they are all presented as active planners in the plot and the complexity of their roles can not be given the time needed in such a short piece. I'm glad that Mr. Kuntzler sees fit to spend his money in a manner such as this, but I feel that the content could have been vastly improved. At one point he says that the FBI was headed by Hoover and the CIA by David Atlee Philips. This is grossly inaccurate and glaringly incorrect to those with knowledge in this field. I'm encouraged that Mr. Kuntzler is involved, but discouraged that he did not seek editorial assistance in this piece. I know that several researchers have contacted him, so hopefully more can come from this. John
  6. Here is a video of a torture vigil that I attended outside CIA HQ in Langley, Virginia following the release of the 'family jewels'. Featured in the video are John Judge, Louis Wolf (Covert Action Quarterly and Washington Peace Center), my lips and other attendees. Credit to Laurel Jensen for recording and editing the video. John
  7. Bill, My friends call me 'lepo', short for leprechaun, though, as you know, I'm quite tall. The arms sale was indeed from the white house to Iran in repayment for the delay in releasing the hostages during Carter's term. Now, I could be wrong, but that sounds right to me. Let's take a look at all the executive orders released today shall we? John
  8. Here is Tim's article 'The whole bay of pigs thing, from Dallas to Watergate'. http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=2322 As you can see, it sparked much debate and posited some very real theories and truths.
  9. I believe Bush senior authorized some arms deals (possibly with Israel) when Reagan underwent surgery at one point. Can anyone refresh my memory on this? Reagan said that he never remembered signing such a deal, and he couldn't have, because Bush was acting president that day. http://www.newschannel5.com/Global/story.asp?S=6817987 (AP) WHITE HOUSE - President Bush will undergo a routine colonoscopy Saturday and temporarily hand presidential powers over to Vice President Dick Cheney, White House press secretary Tony Snow said. Snow told reporters Friday that Bush will have the procedure done at his Camp David, Md., mountaintop retreat. The last time Bush had colon and rectal cancer surveillance was on June 29, 2002. Doctors then advised him to have another colonoscopy in five years. "The president has had no symptoms," Snow said. The procedure will be supervised by the president's doctor, Richard Tubb, and will be performed by a medical team from the National Naval Medical Center at Bethesda, Md. Snow said that because president will be under the effects of anesthesia, he once again has elected to implement Section 3 of the 25th Amendment to the Constitution. Cheney will serve as acting president until Bush notifies authorities that he is ready to reassume his powers. In 2002, Bush transferred presidential powers to Cheney for more than two hours during the routine colon screening that ended in a clean bill of health. It was only the second time in history that the Constitution's presidential disability clause was invoked. President Reagan was the first to invoke the Constitution's 25th Amendment since its adoption in 1967 as a means of dealing with presidential disability and succession. The earlier colonoscopy for Bush also was done at the well-equipped medical facility at Camp David near Thurmont, Md. Bush felt well enough afterward to play with his dogs and take a 4 1/2-mile walk with the first lady and then-White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card and his wife. He then went to the gym for a light workout. Tubb said two polyps were discovered during examinations in 1998 and 1999 while Bush was governor of Texas. That made Bush a prime candidate for regular examinations. The 2002 procedure began at 7:09 a.m and ended at 7:29 a.m. Bush woke up two minutes later but did not resume his presidential office until 9:24 a.m., after Tubb conducted an overall examination. Tubb said he recommended the additional time to make sure the sedative had no aftereffects. (Copyright 2007 by The Associated Pr ess. All Rights Reserved.)
  10. I just received an email from Tim Carroll's wife, Cris, informing us that Tim passed on a few hours ago. Here is the email, "This is Cris, Tim's wife. My dearest one died several hours ago, peacefully and according to his wishes, he asked me to email you as soon as possible. Your friendship and companionship particularly in his final months was cherished. Thank you all for loving him". Tim is dearly missed. RIP my friend.
  11. John Geraghty- Irish researcher John Geraghty- CIA agent Thanks for posting this Bill.
  12. I second the locking of the thread. Jack made his objection and we are dealing with it. The thread will only become another personal battle ground. Take it to the relvant thread. John
  13. Good question Tim, I also wonder if a study could be conducted of Oswald's voice in these two tapes and whether they are the same person. I will take a look around for some people in that field. John
  14. Thanks for this Kathleen. Was Oswald putting on the voice? He did some role playing in Minsk did he not? If he is not role playing, this is very telling. John
  15. This is the post in question. http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.ph...=10472&st=0 Evan Burton has changed the description of Jeff King in Jack's opening post and he may have changed the title of the thread. Let me look into it. John
  16. . And it does. I will now look over your latest posts. John
  17. If a moderator edits a post it will show up at the bottom, much as it does for any other edit. By this I mean it will say 'this post has been edited by John Geraghty 7-19-2007' I will take a look back through your recent postings to see if this occurs. I will attempt to see if an 'edited by' occurs on one of your posts in this thread by writing something in one of your posts. I hope that makes sense. John
  18. U.S. House panel seeks Wecht prosecution documents Wednesday, July 18, 2007 By Paula Reed Ward, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette The House Judiciary Committee has sent a letter to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and the U.S. Department of Justice asking for documents related to three high-profile prosecutions of Democratic officials, including that of former Allegheny County Coroner Dr. Cyril H. Wecht. U.S. Rep. John Conyers, the chairman of the committee, sent the letter yesterday, requesting that "certain critical documents and information relating to U.S. Attorney's offices that may have initiated prosecutions against public officials and others based on their political affiliation" be turned over by July 27. "Allegations that even one of the nation's 93 U.S. Attorneys is improperly prosecuting or failing to prosecute Democratic officials based on their political affiliation have the potential to taint and undermine the legitimacy of our entire criminal justice system," Mr. Conyers wrote. The committee is continuing its investigation into the firings of nine federal prosecutors late last year. Investigators have already interviewed U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan of Pittsburgh, who previously served as the director of the Executive Office for United States Attorneys and as chair of the Attorney General's Advisory Committee. Now the committee is requesting documents from the Wecht investigation, "in particular any memoranda, analysis, or other communications discussing whether and to what extent criminal charges should be and were pursued." Rep. Conyers also asked for any communication with White House staff, congressional members or staff or local or state political officials related to the investigation. In the letter, the committee specifically refers to the fact that the U.S. attorney's office in Pittsburgh has indicted only Democratic officeholders since 2001. "Yet U.S. Attorney Buchanan has not brought charges against at least two Republican officials who, like Dr. Wecht, are alleged to have misused their office staff." The other cases for which the committee is seeking records include the conviction last year of former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman; and the conviction of Georgia Thompson, a Wisconsin state procurement officer. Mr. Siegelman, a Democrat, was convicted of bribery, conspiracy and mail fraud. He was indicted in 2004, two years after losing the closest governor's race in state history. Ms. Thompson, who was charged with improperly awarding a contract to a travel agency whose director contributed to the Democratic governor's campaign, had her conviction thrown out in April by the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which said the evidence against her was "beyond thin." Congress wants answers in Wecht probe By Karen Roebuck TRIBUNE-REVIEW Wednesday, July 18, 2007 The U.S. House Judiciary Committee is investigating whether the federal prosecutions of former Allegheny County Coroner Cyril Wecht and other high-profile Democrats by Republican U.S. Attorneys were politically motivated. "I am grateful that the committee is looking into it," Wecht said today. He referred other questions to his lawyer, Jerry McDevitt, who could not immediately be reached for comment. The committee has asked Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez, who has been criticized for the firings of nine U.S. Attorneys, to turn over documents and information regarding the prosecutions of Wecht, former Alabama Democratic Gov. Don Siegelman and Wisconsin state procurement officer Georgia Thompson. "As you are well aware, the bedrock principle of our federal criminal system is that justice must be served objectively, on a non-partisan basis, and without fear or favor. Our investigation into the U.S. Attorneys scandal, however, has raised serious concerns about efforts to undermine this basic principle," committee Chairman John Conyers Jr., D-Mich, and three other committee members said in a seven-page letter dated Tuesday. "Evidence suggests that at least some of the nine terminated U.S. attorneys were forced out due, in part, to their reluctance to pursue charges against Democratic officials, or their willingness to move forward in investigating or prosecuting Republican officials," the committee members said. While other U.S. attorneys were considered for firing, most were allowed to keep their jobs and described as "loyal Bushies," they said in the letter. U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan, who in 2005 served as the director of the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, was drawn into the controversy over the firings. Congressional investigators interviewed her to find out what role, if any, she played in her colleagues' dismissals. Buchanan is in Washington today and could not immediately be reached for comment. In January 2006, a grand jury indicted Wecht, 75, of Squirrel Hill, on 84 counts of fraud and theft. Federal prosecutors accuse him of using the coroner's office for personal gain. The case has been on hold since September, pending the outcome of several appeals. Siegleman is in prison on a 2006 bribery, conspiracy and mail fraud conviction. Thompson was convicted in June 2006 after the federal prosecutor there claimed she improperly awarded a contract to a travel agency whose executive was a political contributor to the Democratic governor. An appeals court threw out her conviction in April, saying the "evidence is beyond thin." Karen Roebuck can be reached at kroebuck@tribweb.com or (412) 320-7939
  19. Jack, In what thread was your posting edited? John
  20. John, I think Antti is on leave for a while, just to let you know. All the best, John
  21. I attended a forum in D.C. a few weeks ago called 'Taking back America' at which several progressive groups have stands. One of the groups was 'Draft Al Gore'. I don't know where they get their funding from, but I suspect that it is run by environmentalist groups. There seems to be a lot of support for Gore. I saw a poll recently, perhaps on his forum, that suggested that if Gore ran he would imediately jump into top spot, getting suport mainly from those that currently support Hillary Clinton. This would relegate Clinton to the same level of popularity as Barack Obama. I feel that the main reason that Gore is not running is because he knows that, even if a democrat is elected they could not stop the war in Iraq. This would leave a bitter legacy for Gore. Had the war been stopped by this stage, Gore may have ran to achieve his personal goals (mostly environmental and energy concerns). He feels that he can achieve more as an outsider attempting to influence and reform. I do not expect Gore to run, despite the fact that there is a large amount of support for him. John
  22. Jack, In fairness, by referring to him as an MIT physicist one would be led to believe that he was a member of the staff at the physics department at MIT, which he seems not to be. John
  23. Hello all, I recall seeing some lists of CIA abbreviations from documents on the forum sometime in the past. For example: CIAWH/3 is CIA western hemisphere division 3. Would anybody know of lists similar to this on the forum or on the net? I can't seem to locate them on the forum. You can also email them to me at johnpetergeraghty@gmail.com All the best, John
