Thomas H. Purvis
Question for Jethro? Given the following information: 1. The WCC 6.5mm Carcano bullet is listed as being a 160 grain bullet. 2. CE399 as recovered, weighed 158.6 grains 3. When fired through a quality rifle, the Carcano bullet will lose approximately 0.67 grains of weight, merely from the act of having been fired. 4. The cone-shaped, flat-based, lead fragment which is now missing from CE840, weighed 0.9 grains when recovered. QUESTION: How much of CE399 is now accounted for? (hint for Jethro) Recovered weight:------------------------------------------------------------------------------158.6 grains Loss of weight from firing:--------------------------------------------------------------------- 0.67grains Weight of missing fragment from CE840:----------------------------------------------------0.9 grains
