Robert Howard
And was "Hidell" simply the means to "hide" both "l's"? Both Lees? ATTACHMNET D Teletype message, OUT No. 87520, 6 December, 1963 filed at 1829 hours, to the White House, the Department of State and the Federal Bureau of Investigation with copy to the Secret Service. SUBJECT: Lee Harvey Oswald Reference is made to our OUT telegram No. 36702 of 4 December 1963 which gave information on the travel of Marina Oswald (and also presumably Lee Harvey OSWALD and their daughter) across West Germany on their return from the Soviet Union. Information now available from Dutch authorities seems to confirm this. On 3 June 1962 one M. Oswald, listed as a male Russian citizen entered The Netherlands by train at the Oldenzaal border point. Comment: It is believed that the listing of this person as a male instead of female was just an error of the border officials. Note that Oldenzaal is opposite Bentheim, the German border points where Marina Oswald left Germany. BK The passenger list made its first appearance on the internet in 2006 on my website. After publishing the Oswald page of the list on my website, I had several online discussions with Perry. Shortly after publishing the list, Mark Bridger also tried to contact me The "Oswald" page of the passenger list first appeared in May 2006. Here is the URL: http://www.toronto.hm/oswald_on_ss_maasdam.html Here is a link to a 2006 thread on alt.assassination.jfk discussing this list: http://groups.google.com/group/alt.assassi...4f013ebf51a4e45 The entire list was discussed here: http://groups.google.com/group/alt.assassi...32edf413aa74bf7 Here is a photo of the SS Maasdam's final resting place after several name changes. http://www.toronto.hm/ss_maasdamend.html A thread with Perry on alt.assassination.jfk from July 2006: http://groups.google.com/group/alt.assassi...245488f1e9d3178 Regards, Peter Fokes, Toronto

One written by 'Lee' to the Embassy says (wink, wink, nod, nod ), I have no intention of abusing my position here [in Minsk], and I'm sure you would not want me to. [!!!] Another interesting document on suggestion of alternate exit points listed on Lee's exit visa by Embassy! Fascinating. Regards, Peter Fokes, Toronto Peter, thanks for going to the trouble, obviously your post of the pdf's is of great importance to anyone who has an interest, I would be a lot more interested if the Forum had a resident translator, although Steve Thomas recently provided a google translation link. Thanks on behalf of the Forum. BTW; The smart money regarding documents regarding Lee Oswald in that same time frame as the earlier document I posted would be in the, whats now encyclopedia sized Lee Oswald 201 file. The link is on maryferrell.org ps Have you ever read the Spanish only [as far as I know] copy of the Zeiger's interview in Ambito Financiero by Ignacio Zuleta? John Armstrong seems to have brought it to other researchers attention. Edited June 21, 2009 by Robert Howard

After that Perry goes into detail on the visit the Oswalds paid to The Netherlands (a.k.a. Holland) on their way back from Russia. In Oswald's address book is an entry for a place where they probably spent the night in Rotterdam. As you might have noticed: I was born and raised in The Netherlands, and Dutch is my native language. So if needed, i can provide some translations. Does anyone have more information about the stay of Oswald in The Netherlands? I will re-read Perry's book and post an outline of the most interesting conclusions here. Ed LeDoux
Oswald in Holland, and on the Orient Express, by Perry Vermeulen: http://oswaldinholland.web-log.nl/ Thanks to Robert Howard for calling attention to this site. BK Years ago I was politely asking this guy, "Perry Vermeulen", for a copy of the ship log/passenger manifest of the Maasdam showing Oswald. He shined me on for weeks. He repeatedly said he would email me a copy. He continued making excuses why he couldn't like he was on a trip, must be a long trip as I'm still waiting to see it. Now I was not asking for it to see Oswald's name, I was looking for other names. Whom else was aboard, etc. I notice he uses crops of the pages with LHO and his ship cabin neighbor. Never going to get him to share it...Does anyone have a Maasdam passenger manifest besides this dead end?
Hugo Langendoen
Ed, I will have a look at the city archives in Rotterdam to see if this passengerlist will be available there. If so, I will try to make photocopies of that and scan them. I also just sent an email to the webmaster of a site dedicated to the HAL. So two possibilities. I will keep you updated. He seemed willing...and responded quickly..the Publisher never did... Shame..

Yeah Steve he seemed very nice, but so is a skunk...till you realize something smells(In Denmark~Shakespeare) Ed I did a little bit of digging, and although as a researcher I do not particularly trust him or agree with his conclusions, Edward J Epstein asserts in the article [see link] that he located the passenger manifest of the SS Maasdam, also see Pieter Didenko, ostensible Russian-speaking steward of the Maasdam, and also maintains the SS Maasdam employment history was destroyed. http://www.maryferre...082&relPageId=4 The ship passenger manifest would have approximately 1,400 names if Edward J Epstein is correct, although his citation re Didenko is attributed to Priscilla McMillan, another "researcher" whom I believe echoes the party line, and I don't mean the Commies...lol Edited August 15, 2011 by Robert Howard
