Paul Trejo
17 hours ago, Jason Ward said: The first widely published idea that the assassination attempt on Walker was organized to increase public support of Walker might be the spring 1964 article published by Thomas Buchanan in L' Express: Jason, Here's an alternative interpretation. The US Government was married to the Lone Nut theory of Lee Harvey Oswald. It was crucial to the US Government that Oswald was the Lone Shooter "who had no accomplices who are still at large." If the US Government had entertained the facts of the Walker shooting in April 1963, that would have led to a fuller investigation of the Radical Right in Dallas, and would ultimately defeated the purpose of the Lone Shooter agenda. So, naturally, the US Government had to downplay the Walker shooting as far as possible. I think they succeeded. Instead of investigating the Radical Right in Dallas for the past 50 years, the CTers have been investigating the CIA for 50 years -- fruitlessly.
