Larry Hancock
Whenever this comes up its always good to have a photo comparison of Mason and Oswald - and then ask yourself what in the world Dick was thinking...grin. http://www.larry-hancock.com/documents/index.html
Jim Hargrove
Larry, I don't see a Masen image or reference in your link above. Nevertheless, I do see a passing similarity between Masen and "Oswald." I'm pretty sure, though, that Mr. Russell's opinion has changed on this. I know from direct experience that he is a firm believer in John Armstrong's work.

Larry Hancock
Sorry, you need to look under NEW, in the left hand menu, then under Chapter 12 photos, the second Mistaken Identify photo and you will find Oswald compared to Masen and a few others. I don't have a sublink that works at that level. As for a passing resemblance, well they are both white males but I find it hard to believe that other a considerable distance anyone would mistake one from the other. That would be a real stretch...and I have said so to Dick in the past. Edited February 18, 2020 by Larry Hancock
Ron Bulman
Regarding Masen. I guess all have seen this document Bart Kamp posted courtesy of Malcom Blunt in the current Ruby thread. As Masen is discussed in it. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1WyKEuHna_3CYy8JmWzUWYSLc3PmVpNK_
