Another reason for G-Max to stay in the US and be apprehended (or "apprehended") is to establish that she's not a flight risk for a better bond release deal.  Because she may have figured (or may have been informed) that she would not be shielded from extradition abroad.  See article.  Look between the lines:

On trial, she'll claim abuse and brainwashing by Epstein in her traumatized state after her father's mysterious death.

Strangely (or not), no documentation yet of a European visit in this period.  She may have had her reasons, such as difficulty re-entering the US.  But no Polanski-style exodus-for-life.

Or so they say...

"Look, she was a patriot who loved our freedoms, and wanted to stay free in this country for so long, she fled to another room in her secluded hideaway to avoid capture."

She probably went into that room to try and destroy evidence of contact information on her tin foil-wrapped phone.

Thanks to Jeff carter for the tip.  Another reason G-Max didn't flee the US:

It's like the ending of a short story by O. Henry...for us all.

David, do you think Ghislaine would have fled to another country if it wasn't for the Covid-19 ban on Americans traveling to Europe?

I think that the Covid ban sealed it, but she's had a year to flee already, and most of her assets that we know about are in Europe.  So I still think the "grand capture in New Hampshire" is something of a put-up job, a face-saver for the FBI/DoJ negotiated by her lawyers.

I would not believe the public face of this shown in the press.  Where are the arrest pictures and mugshots, the pornographic finish of this splendid piece of investigative work?  Even Tim McVeigh got those.

Why wasn't she arrested at the same time as Epstein back in July 2019, anyway?  The same witnesses were telling the Feds the same things for years.

Factor in the time it took for the various courts to decide that the Virgin Islands' case against Epstein's estate - once it was sorted out among JE's brother and other heirs - should take precedence, leaving the former child victims to wait for a years-long case in the Islands to finish before they can sue.  So, G-Max will be their recourse, and she may have been arrested now to give them somebody to sue.  All arranged so that G-Max forfeits money and does some jail time, but avoids a thorough (public) investigation of her knowledge of the Epstein arms dealing, political blackmail, and etc.

"The Crown declines to prosecute, madam.  The Church, however..."

A coincidence.

I heard about wrapping your cell phone in foil to block tracking in a film my nephews and I just watched two weeks ago - Terminator: Dark Fate.

Linda Hamilton's "Sarah Conner" character shares this advice with the new younger female protagonists Grace and Dani.
