Yeah, Matt, I saw this article at Media Matters recently, and it reminded me of the corporate media sabotage of Hillary Clinton in 2016-- with constant coverage of her Email-gate nothing burger.

It looks like the corporate media moguls are "Email-gating" Biden's age in 2024.

They want those multi-billion dollar Trump tax cuts.

Trump munched again...

Tuesday was a rough primary night for Donald Trump — and he wasn’t even on the ballot.

The former president endorsed a replacement for Sen. Mitt Romney, but Utah voters picked a Trump skeptic instead. He backed his spiritual adviser for an open South Carolina House seat only to watch him narrowly lose in a runoff. Trump threw his support to the Colorado GOP chair for a House district; he was blown out by more than 30 points.

Politicians accepting a 'gratuity' after official acts is legal, Supreme Court rules

by Matt Keeley June 26, 2024

https://www.rawstory.com/politicians-accepting-a-gratuity-after-official-acts-is-legal-supreme-court-rules/

“The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that politicians may accept a gratuity after making an official act, and that laws against bribery do not apply.”

The Supreme Court ruling was 6-3, along ideological lines. "Gratuities after the official act are not the same as bribes before the official act.”

How do you spell corruption?

Got it.

If the bribe is paid ex post facto, it isn't a bribe.

Makes perfect sense.  🙄

This poll makes no sense.

Swing-state 'deciders' trust Donald Trump over Joe Biden to protect democracy (thehill.com)

Respondents reportedly "trust" Trump to protect democracy better than Biden?

But in the same poll, 75% of respondents thought Trump was more likely than Biden to reject election results?

That's a reductio ad absurdum, unless people somehow believe that election results aren't "democratic."

There were several primaries last night, Colorado among them.

Colorado Republicans gave a resounding, "No!" to their own party-endorsed candidates, with 14 of the state's 18 endorsed candidates losing their bouts in the GOP primary Tuesday night.

It’s not just the fact that the Party’s candidates lost, but look at the margins by which they lost:

  • CD3: Ron Hanks lost by 13 points in a race featuring Jeff Hurd and four others.

  • CD5: Dave Williams lost by 31 points to Jeff Crank

  • CD8: Janak Joshi lost by 55 points to Gabe Evans

  • Senate District 2: Tim Arvidson lost by 33 points to state Rep. Lisa Frizell

  • Senate District 10: Rex Tonkins lost by 39 points to state Sen. Larry Liston

  • Senate District 12: Adriana Cuva lost by 19 points to Stan VanderWerf

  • Senate District 23: Natalie Abshier lost by 44 points to state Sen. Barb Kirkmeyer

  • House District 20: Jason Lupo lost by 32 points to Jarvis Caldwell

  • House District 21: Jan Koester & Bill Garlington lost by 12 points to state Rep. Mary Bradfield

  • House District 45: Bill Jack lost by 12 points to Max Brooks

  • House District 45: Trent Lane Leisy lost by 25 points to Lori Garcia Sander

  • Judicial District 4: David Willson lost by 32 points to District Attorney Michael Allen

  • Judicial District 23: Dagny Van Der Jagt lost by 29 points to George Brauchler

Dave Williams in District 5 is the Chair of the Colorado Republican Party by the way.

I’d say that this is a political party that is on the wrong side of history

Well written article that poses the question of whether the Democratic Party and its candidates should accept AIPAC money since the purpose of that money is to support the Israels' campaign of genocide in Gaza.

Where I come from that is called a "kickback".

So this dystopian SC has decided that kickbacks should be legal.

I'm sure the Founders of our country would approve. uh huh...

The destruction caused by just that one term of Donald Trump might turn out to be enough to destroy this country completely. So incredibly f***ed up.

Bowman got destroyed because he did not pay any attention to his constituents. He got blown out; it was not close. AIPAC didn't have anything to do with it. He was just an awful Congressperson and paid the penalty for it.

Good luck finding any poll that makes sense.

The polling biz is completely broken. They're just trying rake in as much cash as they can now, because after November, they're toast. And they know it.
