This is, by the way, an image of the man in the Sniper's Nest window, retrieved from the Hughes film, that is 5/6 seconds before the first shot:

 

 

Maybe a blurred microscope slide?  Or something seen when taking mescaline, orange sunshine or Purple Haze, though with brighter colors and more detail.
