He was reacting to Connally being shot circa 24.6ft (Station# 4+40.7) previous to the extant 313 shot. The difference between 240ft and 143ft = 97ft. In this case, frames within a given time period (circa extant z280-z347) existed and we were led to believe this represented the true count. Yet, at least half of these frames were excised.
