  1. Photographic evidence is also pretty strong for

Lucien Conein, James McCord, Ted Shackley and Tracy Barnes

    being "in the picture" .....

    1.  Who specifically do you believe was in Dealey Plaza?

An unidentified black Latino known as DCM, an unidentified cohort called UM, a Latino using a radio at the corner of Elm and Houston (seen in Altgens 6), and Rip Robertson and other known covert operatives on the corner of Main and Houston.

    2.  For each such person you identify, please state the basis for your belief that

such person was in Dealey Plaza.

The behavior of DCM and UM, the Latino's radio, and the physical appearance of Robertson and others.

    3.  Is your opinion that such persons "knew that something was up" based soley,

as your post implies, based solely on their presence in Dealey Plaza?

Yes. I don't believe they all converged at Dealey Plaza by some big collective coincidence or for an annual JFK conference.

  2. Hello James,  I was wondering if you could post the photo of the Mexico City Oswald "lookalike".  I believe it was with Roscoe White in basic training? Saul?  Sorry it has been several months since you sent it to my email.  Thanks,  Justin

    Hi Justin,

    Image requested below.

    James

What is the context and interpretation of that photo again?

Is it the "Mexico City CIA Embassy Photo Oswald" with Roscoe White?

This version of the old snapshot isn't as clear as one on another thread...

  3. Anyone know about Lester Cole who did a lot of photographic work in Cuba in the late 1950s, much of which can be seen at the Corbis website?

    Tim,

I'm wondering if the Lester Cole you asked about is the same Lester Cole who was a part of the infamous Hollywood Ten who were charged by the HUAC with contempt of Congress for refusing to cooperate?

Ring Lardner Jr., Herbert Biberman and Dalton Trumbo also charged.

    James

    H. "Max" Biberman is quite interesting. He made the film SALT OF THE EARTH

while under blacklist pressure (it is really fine film, & in many video stores)

Biberman went all the way to the Supreme Court to sue Howard Hughes

for restraint of trade and conspiracy. HUGHES sent out a fax (telex)

showing how to block Biberman in the film developing lab, the editing unions,

the print labs, the distibution, the theaters, etc, and the Hollywood industry

went along...Biberman filmed in Mexico and the Southwest, cut the film in

a YMCA bathroom, printed it under a false name (vaya con dios) and showed

it in sleazy independent theaters....he lost the supreme court case because the

telex from HOWARD HUGHES ordering the suppression of the film was not

SIGNED ..... great director, great film (the stars were real labor leaders from

the original strike in Mexico that the story was based on).

Back to this Cuban based Photographer Lester Coles, was he blacklisted?

  4. James

On another subject, if I may...

I just picked up a trophy

(a big brass cup with an ornate wooden handle)

    it is marked:

    56th Air Commando Wing 1968-1969

    NAKHON PHANOM RTAFB (or RTAF6)

    OOM

Do you have any information about this group?

Or what this cryptic inscription means?

    It really looks "spooky"

(but I drink beer out of it anyway)

    Best wishes to you sir,

    Shanet

  5. I have been referring people to Weberman's site for some time.

His evidence concerning the Rifles and Bullets found in the TBSD

is very strong, and much of it is self evident. Unlike Lancer and

some material presented here, he doesn't add infantile circles,

lines and heavy handed "guides' to interpreting the photos....

He was the original "Hunt/Sturgis = Tramp 1/Tramp 2" theorist,

so some of his core conclusions have eroded in time, but the

evidence he presents really forces me to think critically............

AS FOR LIFE MAGAZINE, a call for new investigations, when it comes from

a compromised (mockingbird) organ of propaganda is suspect.

The call for a new investigation should be seen more as a call for another

round of selective leaks and "spin control" such as happened in 1977-78.

LIFE just wanted to be a leading part of any new discussion and steer

people into the fall-back cover story after the Oswald legend was blown....

DAWN --- good post, but you may be guilty of what you oppose.

You can't say the CIA was created by Reinhard Gehlen and hold people's

trust. Allen Dulles did meet with Nazi spymaster Gehlen and absorb

his German Intelligence structure into the US intelligence structure.

Nazi spies, scientists and commandos were absorbed by the Occupying

Power in 1945-48, and that is a grotesque and highly classified piece

of American history, but Gehlen was not the actual founder of the CIA...

    he was just a pawn in a game dominated by AMERICAN Yale and Wall Street interests;

i.e., Skull and Bones, the Sullivan and Cromwell NY law firm, Dillon- Read Co.,

Harriman Union Bank (Bush interests) and Dupont/Standard Oil....

Gehlen and the Nazis worked for them, via Dulles, Anderson, Wisner, etc...

(damn, now I AM rambling about a vast conspiracy....a very real one)

  6. Steve,

Great stuff, as usual. Could you go over all that again and give

us your conclusions or hypothesis about what was going on?

From a first look, it seems that Whitmayer may have been

"out of the loop" a reserves MI guy who was not linked to

the 112th and the suspicious Texas MI/Ed Walker connected

    Captain Sidwell.

What do you think was really going on?

Anybody else who has looked into this is encouraged to comment.

(great material lately --- thanks, everybody)

  7. Marshall Carter, like Richard Helms and Thomas Karamessines, is a

"structural" suspect. He would have known, he should have known,

of the assassination itself -- and he was elevated to positions (DDI, NSA)

where he would be a critical 'choke point' for information. He was

either supervisory to (as DDI) or fully aware of (via SIGINT/NSA)

the activity of Shackley, Clines, Philips, Morales and the various

military intelligence joint paramilitary domestic activities.

The "abort missions" "the autopsy photos" "the Warren Commission/FBI files" etc., would have all come

under his authority in the 1960s. If there were findings of Presidential

Incapacity, or any issues of Presidential fitness to serve, they would have been

"judged" by Marshall Carter, and he would have had the authority to

order destruction of evidence, sanction of witnessess for "national

security" and place tails and wiretaps on "leakers."

He interests me because if he had wanted to expose the facts and had had the

courage to do so he could have blown the case wide open by 1970.

He is a strong lead, rarely mentioned.

Marshall Carter is the man who controlled all CIA/MI/NSA

signals intelligence during the Warren Commission/ 25th Amendment period.

  8. James,

Many of our members may be less informed on Morales than on some other suspects. What can you add about him?

John Simkins' SPARTACUS file on David Morales:

"David Sanchez Morales was born in 1925. He spent his early life in Phoenix, Arizona. A Mexican-American, Morales was later to be nicknamed El Indio because of his dark skin and Indian features. As a boy his best friend was Ruben Carbajal. After his mother divorced his father he was virtually adopted by Carbajal's parents.

Morales joined the United States Army in 1946 and after basic training was sent to Germany where he was part of the Allied occupation force. According to Ruben Carbajal, Morales was recruited into army intelligence in 1947. However, officially he was a member of 82nd Airborne of the US Army. It was during this time he began associating with Ted Shackley and William Harvey.

In 1951 became a employee of the Central Intelligence Agency while retaining his army cover. The following year he joined the Directorate for Plans, an organization instructed to conduct covert anti-Communist operations around the world.

In 1953 he returned to the United States and after a spell at the University of Maryland he assumed cover as a State Department employee. Morales became involved in CIA's Black Operations. This involved a policy that was later to become known as Executive Action (a plan to remove unfriendly foreign leaders from power). This including a coup d'état that overthrew the Guatemalan government of Jacobo Arbenz in 1954 after he introduced land reforms and nationalized the United Fruit Company. After the removal of Arbenz he joined the staff of the US embassy in Caracas (1955-58). During this time he became known as the CIA's top assassin in Latin America.

Morales moved to Cuba in 1958 and helped to support the government of Fulgencio Batista. Later Morales worked behind the scenes with people like David Atlee Phillips, Tracy Barnes, William Pawley, Johnny Roselli and John Martino in an attempt to overthrow Fidel Castro.

In November, 1961, William Harvey arranged for Morales to be posted to JM/WAVE, the CIA station in Miami. In May, 1962, Morales was seconded to ZR/RIFLE, the plot to assassinate Fidel Castro.

Some researchers such as Gaeton Fonzi, Larry Hancock, Noel Twyman, James Richards and John Simkin believe that Morales was involved in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. It has been suggested that others involved included James Arthur Lewis, Roy Hargraves, Edwin Collins, Steve Wilson, Gerry P. Hemming, Herminio Diaz Garcia, Tony Cuesta, Eugenio Martinez, Virgilio Gonzalez, Felipe Vidal Santiago and William (Rip) Robertson.

In 1966 Ted Shackley was placed in charge of CIA secret war in Laos. He recruited Morales to take charge at Pakse, a black operations base focused on political paramilitary action within Laos. Pakse was used to launch military operations against the Ho Chi Minh Trial. In 1969 Morales moved to Vietnam where he officially worked as a Community Development Officer for the International Development Agency.

Morales moved to Chile in 1970. He was a member of the team that used $10 million in order to undermine left-wing forces in the country. Morales told friends that he had personally eliminated several political figures. He was also involved in helping Augusto Pinochet overthrow Salvador Allende in September, 1973.

After arriving back in the United States Morales moved to Washington where he became Consultant to the Deputy Director for Operations Counter Insurgency and Special Activities. Larry Hancock believes that during this period he provided advice to right-wing governments in the Condor Coalition (Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Brazil and Argentina).

According to his friend, Ruben Carbajal, in the spring of 1973, Morales talked about his involvement with the Bay of Pigs operation. He claimed "Kennedy had been responsible for him having to watch all the men he recruited and trained get wiped out". He added: "Well, we took care of that SOB, didn't we?"

David Sanchez Morales retired from the Central Intelligence Agency in 1975. Three years later he was added to the list of people to be interviewed by the House Select Committee on Assassinations. He died of a heart-attack on 8th May, 1978."

    [end SPARTACUS file]

  9. Jim Marrs "Crossfire":

"A pilot car, which preceded the motorcade by a quarter of a mile

checking for 'motor accidents, fires and obstructions along the route'

contained Dallas Deputy police chief G.L. Lumpkin, two Dallas homicide

detectives, and Lt. Col. George Whitmayer, commander of the local

    Army Intelligence reserve unit."

This, to me, is a very intriguing statement of fact. Has anyone looked

into this farther or developed any information concerning this car and its

    official party of motorcade scouts?

  10. Al

I think we all recognize that you were a rare example of critical thinking coming from the typically conservative (or less than critical) law enforcement community.

While we disagreed about the meaning and motivation of certain events (the behavior of the Secret Service 1963) there is one thing I will always remember about your posts:

The limousine was crawling at five miles an hour, and MR GREER braked to halt or near halt during the barrage....

Your posts on protocol, ballistics and the specifics of the case were exemplary, and I hope you reconsider your resignation, as their will be plenty of opportunity for further significant research in the forseeable future.

You are proof that JFK researchers are not "weird" but simply a cross section of concerned Americans..........

  11. Hersh wrote a warts and all book, and it sheds light on the times.

Kennedy's orgies, infidelities and reckless personal behavior is

a fact, and they probably played a role in his sanction.

Historians are warned to stay away from nostalgia. The type

of patriotic blinders that cause someone to Mythologize JFK

is the same kind of bias that prevents critical thinking.

A balanced look at JFK is the key. He wasn't a "liberal" since

he put CD Dillon (a GOP Wall Street figure) in the position

of Secretary of Treasury. While he was a humanitariian and

a large intellect, he was politically a centrist. His dragging of

his feet on Civil Rights, his willingness to use force in Asia

and the caribean show a man considerably to the right of the

image. His personal life shows someone considerably below

the standard for moral character most Americans expect.

While I am still a huge fan of Kennedy, I often appear to "slag"him,

because I believe the infidelities, orgies and drug use caused

a violent reaction on the part of the other elite power brokers

    he was surrounded with.

Only when we see the complete picture can we decide what happened

and properly understand the times. Hyper-masculinity was the

rule of the day and there were people even more aggressive,

violent and hyper-masculine than him in power at that time...

  12. This thread is just a catch-all, and I have a comment. Bernardo De Torres was apparently erased from the Google search engine, as was The Men Who Killed Kennedy. Tonight I did a google searach of Lt. Gen. Marshall Carter. Structurally he was central to the events addressed on this forum.

THis is all there is on the web for this historical figure, who was head of the 1960's NSA, Dept. Director of the CIA, an advisor to Presidents, and confidant of George C. Marshall.

Its from the CIA information site:

    Marshall Carter

I am now convinced that the search engines are sanitized by the government. There were not even any listings for the many times I myself have posted on him.

I now believe, more than ever, that this is a culpable individual...

  13. Jim,

They didn't have to have prior knowledge of a thigh wound on Connally.

All they had to know is that a frame was in place on the Oswald rifle,

and that the other lead slugs would be removed or denied by Federal insiders.

When no 30.06 or 7.5 slugs were found (because they were destroyed)

the only bullet left would be the oddly pristine 399-

an exact match to the patsy's Mannlicher Carcano......
