I have been reading a book written by James Earl Ray recently and the information he gives about how both Time and Life magazines go after him is quite startling. I will be writing a seminar on the evidence that occurs both in the MLK and JFK cases. Ray himself was knifed 22 times but survived. These deaths do send shivers down your spine, especially since I have been trying to find an address for Braden.
Let admit something, I prefer to let Braden alone unless someone convinces me of the opposite. Call me chicken if you want.

When I showed interest in locating Jim Braden -the guy arrested in Dealy Plaza and also living at a hotel 20 minutes from the hotel where RFK was killed- I was warned that I am entering the "Big Leagues", meaning that I should do it at my own risk.
Who rendered this warning to you?
Someone I consider as a friend, researcher Bill Kelly who is a writer. So that was a "friendly" warning.

BTW, did you continue your pursuit of Braden? Not sure that I would have been that brave (perhaps in my younger days I would have).
What prompted me to try to locate Braden is a 1980 document in which is included his address, and in which Braden threatened to sue The Globe in criminal court. I don't remember if I ever sent a letter to him.

In one of his books, Robert Livingston was mentionning that several researchers' houses have been set in fire. Do you know of any examples, Jack? An example I know of: researcher Gary Murr who lost a lot of invaluable documents after the appartment building he lived in was ravaged by fire.
It must be awful how one must feel after being assaulted like Jack. I can't believe it. Talk about it to witness Warren Reynolds and so many others. Jack is showing a lot of courage by keeping discussing the JFK assassination openly. Jack is a real survivor, those "survivors" on TV are not.

Roscoe White News Conference was held.
At the **head table** in the front of the assembly space, in addition to
Ricky White and Roscoe*s minister, were 5 prominent JFK researchers. All were
comparatively young or middle-aged and vigorous, and each presented some
aspect of the Roscoe White story. These researchers were...

Now, about 6 years later 4 of the 5 are dead, despite their relative youth
and vigor. Coincidence? Or curse? Given their ages and good health, it would
be interesting to see actuarial statistics on this, in the manner of the
famed **mysterious deaths** study.
FENSTERWALD, who founded/funded the Washington Assassination Information
Bureau and supported the AIC, became ill while dining in Dallas. He cancelled
appointments and flew back to Washington, where he died of a sudden **heart
attack**.
WEST, the Houston private investigator who later discovered the James Files
story, was just fine when I talked with him on the phone on a Friday. Almost
incidentally, he told me that at a recent health check-up, his doctor
recommended heart by-pass surgery for the following Monday; he said he would
call me after the surgery. The heart surgery was a success...but his
breathing never resumed. He was kept alive for a while by a lung machine, but
died without ever regaining consciousness.
HOWARD, the ardent JFK buff who (with Gary Shaw) co-founded the Dallas JFK
Information Center, had been doing further Roscoe White research in West
Texas, along with a **former FBI agent**. While driving late at night, Larry
suffered a **stroke**. When he died, the JFK-AIC died with him.
HARRIS, the young reseach expert on the Tippit killing, has now died in a
recent auto accident (one-car?) for which we have few details as of now.
SHAW, the other co-director of the AIC, is the SOLE SURVIVOR of this group.
We hope that Gary is very very careful in the future, whether these deaths
are curse, conspiracy, or coincidence.
GENEVA WHITE DEES, Roscoe*s widow, also died during this period.
Less than a year after attending this news conference, I was attacked in my
bedroom at 5 a.m. on Sunday by a nude intruder, who (unprovoked) stabbed me
in the chest with an ice pick 12 times and hit me in the head, fracturing my
skull and destroying my hearing (right ear) and balance (permanent vertigo).
At the time I was serving as a (unpaid) photo consultant to Oliver Stone in
the production of JFK. I was in the hospital for 22 days with the skull
fracture and collapsed lung, for four days near death. Coincidence?
Conspiracy? Or Roscoe White curse?

As a "non combatant" as it were in this area of the forum I would like to post my support for John's actions.
After repeated requests to have all his posts and seminars removed and yet rather eccentrically continuing to post rather incoherently across the whole forum, deleting Tim Carroll was an entirely appropriate action.
Wim appears to be the short of character who enjoys the game "Let's you and he fight" and as John points out has struggled to comply with the forum guidelines from the start.
Hopefully these events will serve as reminder to all that there are guidelines here.
Free academic debate engaged in maturely and intelligently is wholeheartedly welcomed, aggressive and ancient squabbles brought in from elsewhere are not.

Definitely not Oswald. There was dicussion on that photo on the Lancer forum that was launched by Ron, I believe. I remember Bill Miller reacting strongly to Ron posting this photo because it included an exotic dancer.

This is an essay I prepared prior to TMWKK segment. The man is Mr. Whitaker; we still don't know what his job at the Rouge was. However, this man and others heard stories from and about Vaughn Ferguson's experiences with 100X and interpolated them into their own.

Issues with the Fetzer-Weldon "MIDP" Nameless "Witness"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A researcher named Doug Weldon, under the mentoring of Dr. James Fetzer, conducted an interview with a man he describes as a "Ford Man" in 1993. If you read this chapter in "Murder in Dealey Plaza" You will notice that there are virtually no substantiating details in this interview, or in fact anywhere in his discussions about this man. Weldon has chosen to do no additional research since that point to independently validate or discredit this man's statements using either sources available at a local library, on the internet, or the resources of the Ford Motor Company itself. Weldon insisted that you accept all of this man's statements without question. The basis of Weldon's faith that this man is telling the truth appears to be the fact that he supposedly met the man and liked him. This interview was included in "Murder In Dealey Plaza", Part Two, the chapter on the Kennedy Limousine.
Weldon claimed this witness was a "Man from the Ford Motor Company." This is a misrepresentation. This man had no identity. The researcher was to trust that this man had a connection to the Ford Motor Company. We were later told that this lone mystery-witness was actually a union employee of the Ford Rouge complex Assembly Plant B -- a far cry from the Ford Experimental Garage where 100X was built. The reseracher was led to think that this lone mystery-witness worked in a "repair and maintenance" garage somewhere at Ford, that had a "Glass Plant Lab" attached to it. The researcher was encouraged to believe that there was nobody else around when the 8,000 lb. limousine SS-100-X was brought into "B Building" to have its windshield replaced. The resercher was encouraged to trust this man who has no descriptive references for the "lab men" that actually did the replacement, except that they are now deceased. The Nameless "Witness" had no inside information into the condition of 100X on 11/25/63, and he was presented as the the only witness to "see" a through and through bullet hole in the Shaeffer /Altgens 1-6 "spiral nebulae"position. He tried to give the impression that he and he alone had any knowledge of thd inner workings of the Ford Motor Company. Weldon also attempted to impugn the credibility of witnesses who actually saw 100X after the assassination; such people as the FBI's Robert Frazier, and DC Ford's F. Vaughn Ferguson.
Reading this chapter demands objectivity Go ahead and ask "Does this make sense or not?"
Dr. Fetzer has chosen to include this questionable if not fraudulent account in his latest compendium "MIDP". Dr. Fetzer has chosen do do so knowing the story is most probably entirely false. When presented with exhaustive research done at considerable expense through the Henry Ford Museum, refuting this man's story, Dr. Fetzer took it upon himself to try to discredit the messenger, researcher and author Pamela McElwain-Brown.
The "B Building" this man mentioned is, in fact, part of the 1,100 acre Ford River Rouge Complex.t is the final assembly building for this complex, where, during the early sixties, the Ford Falcon was assembled. From early 1964 on, the Ford Mustang has been assembled there. The building was designed as an assembly building. It has since been repeatedly updated as an assembly building, to give it state-of-the art equipment.
The Rouge also supplies parts to many Ford assembly plants, because it contains a steel mill (Rouge Steel, now spun off) and a Glass Plant (that makes windshields and automotive glass) and a Stamping Plant (that makes doors, roofs, trunks, etc, all metal vehicle parts made from rolled steel). It also contains a Power Plant (that is now being rebuilt after a tragic explosion in 1998) that supplies steam and electricity to the Rouge Complex; it could power a city the size of Boston. The Rouge, at it's height in WWII, employed as many as 130,000 people; in 1963 it employed over 10,000 people. The Rouge is a security complex, so everyone entering and leaving it needed identification. Tours through the Rouge will be available starting in the Spring of 2004 for anyone interested in attempting to recreate the events this Nameless "Witness" mentions.
According to the Henry Ford Museum, B Building had NO facilities for automobile repair. It was designed and run as an assembly building only. According to them, The Rouge Complex B building would NOT have been a place that 100X would have been taken, were it to have come to Ford. The appropriate place would have been the Experimental Garage at the Proving Grounds, about a mile away. This was where 100X actually was taken whenever it was at Ford. There were facilities there for repairs and maintenance, as well as any other specialized function that might be needed. This facility would also be relatively isolated in terms of the number of people around, and far more private, had any covert activity needed to take place.
All of the issues with the Nameless "Witness" have been presented to Weldon on one or more occasions. This interview is at the core of Weldon's theory regarding 100X. All attempts to discuss issues regarding it have been greeted only with arrogant hostility, in which Dr. Fetzer (Weldon has apparently left the research community) challenged not only Mrs. McElwain-Brown's information, but information from the Henry Ford Museum and from the Ford Archives, yet without providing any documented information to the contrary. Why?
Is this shoddy research, or something even worse? Is this really just a hoax? Is the only bintent to stir things up? Weldon and Fetzer had seven years to objectively verify information in this interview, and never bothered to do so. They have not even bothered to communicate to the research community that the B Building was in the Rouge Complex; that information, as has the rest of the substantiating information, came from Pamela McElwain-Brown. Weldon has also given copies of this interview to several "trusted researchers",among them Jack White, who have also had access to it for years. None of them have ever come forward and asked any questions regarding it either. Why not? Yet on the JFKResearch Board (which some call the disinfo board) Jack White repeatedly defended even the most ridiculous of this man's statments, such as referencing 100X as a "convertible". Are these issues the sort of thing that can only come from a specialist in the area of the Presidential Limousine, or are many of them simple common sense?
What is going on here? Are Fetzer and Weldon attempting to direct our attention away from something? Are we being distracted to think the Ford Motor Company is responsible for what happened to 100X after the assassination, leaving the Secret Service blameless? Are Fetzer and Weldon sincerely working to move the research effort forward or simply create disinformation that will generate conflict in the conspiracy camp? You will have to decide for yourself.

Talking about blood and the Couch film, Couch described an enormous trail of blood, see this article. I am not claiming it is the same blood, but just want to let people know about what Couch saw.

Apparently OAKES and a co-researcher located then interviewed COLEY after reading about him in the paperback book “Unsolved Texas Mysteries” by Wallace O. Chariton, With Kevin R. Young & Charlie Eckhardt, published in March 1991, ISBN=1556221363, December 1991 =1556221371, May 1992=1556222564. (NOTE: OAKES points out, and COLEY confirms in the online interview, that some non-blood-pool-related details CHARITAN wrote about COLEY's post-attack actions are incorrect)
To summarize some of COLEY's interview with OAKES considerations:
COLEY said that the pool of blood he saw was located about 10' south of the north pergola west shelter #3 door, on the sidewalk, near the retaining wall.
COLEY said that JIM HOOD (now deceased) touched the "pool of blood" and tasted it, then said it was "definately blood," not spilled soda pop. HOOD captured only one photo of the pool of blood.
Just some thoughts OTTOMH .... could the dark-complected man who, nearly instantaneously after the Presidents head exploded, wheeled-around and ran away from HUDSON up the pergola west steps, have actually SEEN the GK assassin and/or DPD-SMITH's-"agent"-accomplice and/or SUMMERS-"armed agent" (and/or "badgeman" and/or "badgeman construction-hatted accomplice" and/or "badgeman DPD-uniformed accomplice" if you believe in them---my, what a crowded area!), and because the "ran-away man" saw a conspiratorhe was, without hesitation, silently shot or stabbed, then quickly stuffed/hidden into a car trunk nearby in the parking lot?.... or...., maybe, the "ran-away man" was shot during the attack.... Another thought, maybe the blood was from one of the black couple that SITZMAN told JOSIAH she saw just before the attack sharing a lunch on the retaining wall bench. Maybe him/her/both witnessed a shooter/accomplice and were quickly murdered, then hidden in a car trunk. In the last year BILL MILLER said something about someone possibly knowing who that black couple may have been. Seems important to me, considering their location. Perhaps BILL can detail that for us, and explore it further.

COLEY also describes having coffee with RUBY early that morning, and then seeing RUBY sitting at NEWNAM's desk when COLEY returned to his "DMN" office shortly after the attack. COLEY said RUBY was visibly shaken after COLEY announced to his co-workers about the shooting. (as were scores of millions of other persons)
COLEY also describes being interviewed by 2 "greenish" i.d.-flashing "agents" on 26NOV63 at the "DMN." (I think COLEY said he thought they were FBI)
Interesting, COLEY claims that after COLEY asked the agents about the blood pool --which the agents seemed to not even know about-- then the agents talked also with HOOD about it and his one photograph, the agents confiscated the one photo HOOD captured of the blood and then told COLEY and HOOD to forget about what they saw.... sounds all too familiar, right?!
Is there a COLEY co-worker still living who remembers seeing 2 "agents" speaking to COLEY, then HOOD at their "DMN" office? NEWNAM gives a list of about 27 persons during his warreatti-testimony, available for all here:

Thanks for your words, Jack and Shanet. The Couch film frames are from PBS' JFK: BREAKING THE NEWS, I believe. I would have to check. I have the show on DVD, and captured these frames with a software called SNAGIT. If anyone has a digital camera, a capture software is sometimes included with the camera software. You plug a cable from your VHS or DVD and plug the other end at the back of your computer video card.
The frame from the John Martin film is from Robert Groden's The Assassination Films.
Here are two more. One of the front of the TSBD. I thought we could see Marrion Baker running towards the TSBD, but cannot see him on that frame. I must have it somewhere, and the other one shows a cop and "Clappy Man" who claps his hands in the Zapruder film and a policeman.

Here are some frames of the Couch. I can't locate right now the one showing officer Baker running toward the TSBD.
Second photo shows Babushka Lady, the fourth one shows a man in black that I mistakenly identified as Zapruder, the sixth one shows two bicycles on the grassy knoll (!), the next one shows what appears a "citizen's arrest", the one after shows a cameraman on the left of the image, and the last one shows a DPD policeman with his gun withdrawn.

Since we have previously had a thred about songs that have something to do with the assassination i thought i would start one about movies.
The ending for Dr.Strangelove was not the originally proposed ending, it was supposed to end with a huge pie fight and the president being hit in the face with a pie, one of the generals then remarks 'our beloved president has been cut down in his prime' , they had to change it as just weeks before it was due to air kennedy was shot.
In 'malcolm x' directed by spike lee we see malcolm x saying that he didnt care that kennedy was shot because he was a white man, malcolm x later retracted this i believe after his trip to mecca.

Photo 1 is the one published in Penn Jones' Forgive My Grief. Photo 2 is him escorted by the LAPD just before he flies to Jim Garrison's office. Photo 3 is him under a lie detector session organized by his attorneys.
