Hi Jim, Glad you started a new thread on this. I didn't know Phil Ochs, but I think we were busted together in Chicago in '68 at the Democratic National Convention. It was the last night of a week of demonstrations and riots, and those of us who were on McCarthy's national staff were sitting around the McCarthy rooms of the Conrad Hilton Hotel. Someone handed me a drink of whiskey and water and mentioned to me that it was Phil Ochs who was playing guitar and singing in the hall nearby. About an hour later I laid down to sleep only to be awakened by a rush of Chicago police breaking heads with billy clubs in a celebrated raid that ended with a bunch of us under arrest. I was only 17 years old, a high school junior who later went to the University of Dayton, Ohio, where there was manditory ROTC for freshmen until discontinued the year I arrived. The campus ROTC were notorious for being informants against radical agitators protesting the Vietnam war. While I never crossed paths with Phil Ochs again, I believe it was him in Chicago, and was saddened when I learned he had died. I am quite surprised that he was at Dealey Plaza too. You say that he returned on a flight from Dallas with a cameramen who was returning to England? Do you know the name of the cameramen and what became of his film? Also, did you ever go to Newport? I couldn't get any info from Bill Curtis but of course you can't get through to big stars anyway... the media is pretty controlled and just like Iraq they would be embarrassed but when they covered up JFK...now that was the start of the MO of lies of these guys in power now and the beat goes on..... Thanks for posting these pictures, Jim. At this time, I'm not convinced that it's George Bush Sr. I'd like others' opinions -- the photo experts. Kathy I would love any expert opinion or anyone who has seen TV images of Bush taken from behind. Sinse I saw him that day along with two Dallas Police with the taller Oswald look a like, I was searching for him in the photos. If I am wrong, that is fine because the truth is what I am after. The Photo of Bush in front of the Book Depository sure looks just like him and I found some from the Parkland Hospital that look just like him also but it is mostly from the back and just a little to the side. Jim Jim, if you are able to, could you post the photos of Bush at Parkland? Kathy I well give it a shot... Look Familiar folks? Notice the bulge above his left shoulder....It seems the cordinators had there own frequency. Now I could be leapin in logic here but When I first sent them to Gary at the 6th floor museam, he said the man was too short to be Bush. A friend of mine in Detroit calculated the height of the Police car and the curb he propbaly would be standing on and said the man was 6 feet 2" ...a match there. Then he said it was a another guy he knew but never came up with the name. He said he would ask George Bush for the museam What he was doin in Dallas when he told the FBI about the possible student threat to Kennedy when Bush says Please keep this confidential and I am on my way to Dallas". Hi Kathy, Good Questions. I Don't know if Phil was murdered...He would tell me that he would talk about Dealy someday but that never happened and in 1976, it was scary time to talk and many people who knew too much were still getting killed. When I was singing and talking about it in Chicago, The Mob boss was murdered and a man came up to me at the Quiet Knight and handed me his card with a black hand emblem on it and said "Let me know if you need any help". Phil Told me once that he was warned (he did not tell me who) that if he talked they would say that He was crazy and that Phil was working for them. I don't think that he was too worried about being accused of having mental problems since he was supposed to be taking medication like Lithium for his Manic Depression, but I think his biggest fear was that he wanted to have his legacy intact as Folk Singer without any involvement or knowledge in the mystery which was much more unsolvable back then then it is now. Anyone with knowledge would get blamed because the cover-up was ordered by Johnson and even that was covered-up. When Phil was in his more military Gung Ho modes even back at Ohio State I used to defend Gary Powers who was shot down in his U2 over Russia and Phil said "he should have taken his suicide pill as he was supposed to". He loved being the devils advocate sometimes. Phil did talk of suicide to me maybe once or twice. He may not have known who were really behind the people who threatened him to shut up about it. If we are getting closer to them now...How could we expect him to figure it out back then. Now here is what I know about the double Oswald. The WC dismissed all evidence, including FBI because they thought there was only one Oswald. Allen Dulles was in charge of what secret files could be seen. I myself saw a taller looking Oswald in the custody of two Dallas Cops get on a shadow or 2nd Hollywood Hootenanny Tour bus shortly after the assassination, as I have told the FBI and Justice Dept. I talked to Butch Burrows who was the usher at the Texas Theater where Oswald was arrested and Butch told me and Later our concert at the Theater in 93 that the police were taking a taller looking Oswald out of the side door at the same time that Oswald was being taken out the front door and Butch showed me the side door. The research community has never gone into this even though I invited them all to the concert for JFK truth that night. Phil could have talked but how would he know that his family would not be hurt or if what he knew could be proved...remember the photos of Phil were not released until 12 years after he was gone...and like the Zapruder film was not released for about 12 years too. I also saw George Bush on that same Bus and the man who pointed him out to me was David Ferrie who was on to me in Cleveland because I went back to my Old neighborhood in Willowick Ohio to try to find out the name of the man who wanted me to spy on my Folks around 52. I was in High School at the time, late 50's, I was threatened by a friend who knew Bush and got threatening calls from a guy who acted like a gangster at that time also.... All this because I was looking for Bush because a friend would not believe that I was asked by Bush to spy on my folks. I always was bad at remembering names off hand and I don't think Bush even ever told me his name...Why would he? Bush was sitting next to Hoover on the bus and we know that Bush called the FBI about a student at Houston University who supposedly made threats to JFK.....I believe that was a ruse so that he could have a talk with Hoover later that day when I saw them together on the same Bus with many other strange men and we were ordered to close all the window shades of the bus so that we could not see the airplane they flew in on but somebody said "we are at an airport and after most had gotten on after loading lots of heavy luggage into the Compartments below, I heard someone say "the Corsican Brothers are Here". I did not here any cheering about that. That night was a scary one at the Pines Motel, in the Sam Houston National forest near Point Blank Texas and believe it or not it was next door to a Texas National Guard armory which could have been convenient for getting arms for Para military operations. That night men were celebrating long into the night and a man came into my little room and said "Don't go out side tonight because there is a man with a shotgun looking for Kennedy's killer.....I heard shots that night and I figured they shot the guy the cops had in there custody even before I saw the resemblance to Oswald because they both reminded me of Mark Tepping who I was supposed to room with at Ohio state...but Phil became my roommate instead. Thanks Don I think I covered some of your questions in the reply I just gave Peter...sorry I hit the reply twice. Well yes, Phil was very interested in the case...he was a witness. But he did not know who did it for sure so he did not put himself on the firing line. I knew Phil very well and he would be happy that he was able to give us some clues to the truth and I am happy to pass them on. But it was dangerous back then even in 76 when Phil Hung himself...of course I can't say for sure that he hung himself. Actually Phil showed me his photos of JFK autopsy at his place in LA while we were getting ready for the Midnight Special show around 74. He had a photo of General Walker's House with a sign on the front lawn about "Free Cuba" or something like that and we smoked a couple of his real Cuban cigars. The film clip of Phil in Dealy was not available until 1988...twelve years after he died. I believe if the media had not waited 24 years to release that footage, Phil would have come out of the closet like I was asking him too. Since he is in the background of the footage probably only Phil or I would have been able to identify him because it goes by in a few seconds. But our lives would have still been in danger because the cover-up of "nobody knowing anything but Oswald" and it would have blown the case wide open and here we are...lucky to be alive. I guess i am lucky because I know more about the case now after all our study and new evidence popping up. If you are interested , get the books out on Phil Ochs and goggle him. there is a lot out there but not much on the secret stuff. I guess that is my job. Jim

Phil used to say to me "Jim, I will never lie to you but there are some things i cannot tell you". When we were roommates at Steeb Hall, Ohio State, he let me know he was in contact with a surveillance operation on students and even told me during one off our heated discussions about communism..."Good or Evil?" Phil told me I was "Fair Game". It was a military culture because ROTC was mandatory and Phil was a sergeant in the Air force and I was private Army cadet.... He liked to pull rank on me and I RESENTED IT...BUT WE HAD A BALL ANYWAY. Being a "Security Observer" was a new one for me too when Phil first told me where he was some months after our Texas journeys...but i had just told Phil where I was in Texas when JFK was Shot so when Phil said "Security Observer" I thought that could be the job description that i took on as well...we can get into that later or i will digress too much from your question. It was many months before Dallas that Phil came to Jean's place on Thompson Street in the village where I was living in sin....and while Jean was out, Phil gave me some secret info. There was a plot to kill Kennedy and do I know anything about it. He said he was working for some domestic national Security program kinda like the CIA but these are the Good Guys in the war between the bad guy Hoover's FBI and JFK and the Good Guys. Phil never told me who or gave me any names of who was his boss at that time but that would have been foolish if he did and probably dangerous for us both because I had a big mouth...and you know there wasn't much crime in our neighborhood. Phil said he was working for the Fair Play for Cuba Committee in order to find out more about the plot and i said I would let him know if i heard anything....I kinda remember we were supposed to meet somebody in the subway station but they never showed so I never met the Fair Play for Cuba guys but many years ago I called VJ Lee of the Veterans for Peace and he told me "Oh yes Phil was working with us". So all I remember about his Dallas trip was what he told me only once and that was that he he was standing on the street by the scene and when JFK was shot he went towards the scene and saw the commotion ..... and I think he may have gone with someone in NY that he knew...maybe in the Gambino family not sure .... they were probably being set up too come to think of it. Hi folks, During all my investigations if the JFK case I have always assumed that some day I can testify in court about the cover-up. This has meant excluding disinformation whenever possible. I think I could have erred in my last update of the cover-up by stating that the WC lied about three empty shells found when the Dallas police and FBI records say only two spent shells were found. Well It seems that the WC may have already covered that in that the 3rd empty shell could have been held back in Dallas for further testing for some unknown reason but here is an explanation of the story on that: http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/round.htm But I found out something else that if true could be just as important and it concerns a dented empty shell which is very hard to dent and would be hard to fire such a shell because it could not held the bullet in place before firing. see http://karws.gso.uri.edu/JFK/the_critics/g...nted_shell.html So maybe the shooter knew he was being set up and left a dented shell behind to prove it. Hi Gerry, I hope you are doing well. I wrote you a personal e-mail with some questions about a musical tour bus "Hollywood Hootenanny Tour" which I am still researching and finding strange coincidences besides the fact that I had foreknowledge of the plot on JFK. A Librarian and historian of Key west recently sent me info on where our main tour bus (there was more then One) when you were protecting JFK on the 18th in Miami. His message was: "The Hollywood Hootenanny appeared for one night only at the Key West Kennel Club on November 18, 1963. This was from an ad in the newspaper. The one review I found liked you act. The Kennel Club was on Stock Island which is between Key West and Boca Chica, where the Naval Air Station is located and the cause of the planes flying over." Does this info jog memories at all? Hi Folks, From my experience with this plot from even before it happened, I agree that all of the possible groups, even if they had motive, were also needed to insure the cover-up at the top for "national Security" which was the line LBJ took in order to take the investigation out of the hands of Dallas Police and Texas Attorney General because they kept coming up with evidence that proved a conspiracy. Now we know that the Dallas Police files and the evidence received by the FBI was that only two spent cartridges were found in the "6th floor nest". Oswald had no nitrate or gunpowder on his body for shooting a rifle or a pistol. There is no proof that any bullet went through JFK's back and came out his throat because the hole in JFK's back was only half a finger deep. Also no blood on the magic bullet and the fact that dozens bullet fragments were found in JFK's skull from a bullet or two that exploded and the magic bullet was designed not to explode and is the reason for the metal jacket. Also fragments left in Connely and nothing comparable missing from the magic bullet. All this and more adds up to the cover-up which is the much bigger crime ( a coup in essence). as long as we keep focusing on "who shot John" instead of the crime of cover-up, we are playing the conspirators game. There are still a million documents that are secret so how can we tell who did it before we prosecute the crime of the cover-up which is the main obstacle to finding out who all pulled the triggers. I would take anything in the Spotlight 'with a grain of salt'. That being said it wouldn't at all surprise me if he as head of the CPUSA which which beholded to the Soviet CP was on the Russian payroll. I don't know how this would be a reflection on other radicals. John seemed to be hinting at the opposite, that Hall was backed by reactionaries. I believe there was false reporting and propaganda on all sides. My first thought on that is sure Gus could have lied to me about Rothchild Bank or maybe it was a boast about the funding but if Russia was sending Gus millons or any money, it would have to be known to all the spies in and out of the party and he would have been in jail for that and if it was confirmed by the KGB, that would have been more reason for him to be arrested for being a paid agent of Russia. Do you think the FBI and CIA would miss a great propaganda coup about why the cold war spying on all the movements of the left which were accused by the right wing of being commie dups was justified?.... Well for some mysterious reason they let Gus and the CPUSA off the hook. Now if it was the Bank or a group of banks, I think Russia and the US would keep that under wraps ...maybe I am just not informed enough on this but the accusation from Liberty Lobby is that Russia knew and they have proof to put away the CPUSA for good but the US government lets a huge propaganda victory for the Cold War slide.....I don't think so. I myself wouldn't be so rough on Gus....How would anyone end up a hero surronded by spies of every kind good or bad. Gus Hall came over to visit once when I was older, probably in the 60s and I asked him if Russia funds the Party and He laughed and said something about the Rothchilds or Rothchild Bank...... If the FBI had the majority of members...well that might be a exageration...but what about all the other federal and foreign agencys that the FBI weren't even allowed to control or monitor ...they were in there too. The Rothchild comment leads me to wonder who controls the US government.. Don't you think the big World Banks have a big say too? They seem to have as much or more than ever today. War is a business... a legal rackett since nobody but a handful of losers at Nuremberg has ever been punished for profiting from or promoting war. Security and Fear is the goose that lays the golden egg. Divide and Conquer has always been the MO of the Ruling Class. I think some wealthy people now may be catching on to how this War business is bad in the end for them and the Planet. We are now at the cross roads...Maybe someday soon we will learn. Sorry, I am trying to delete this post by me because i did not know how to post properly and it just repeated itself. Jim

I am still performing Folk Music mostly around Florida. I was born in Cleveland Ohio in 1942. I was the guy who got Phil Ochs started in Folk music at Ohio State in Columbus in 1960. I also was Jim of the duo Jim and Jean for the rest of the 60's My interest in Politics and intrigue began when I was about 5 or 6 in Cleveland when my Dad was a Fellow Traveler in CPUSA and his friend Gus Hall was hiding out in our attic. Gus and his side kicks would talk to me about the coming revolution. There were many spies around and I would get in trouble for my loose lips. Many strange things happened to me concerning the Cold War and I first became aware around those early years when a man with a bossy attitude came to our house and asked me to come down to the basemant to watch as my dad was tossing CP membership records in the furnace. He looked down at me and said "Jim, remember this...don't ever forget this!". I looked down at his left foot next to mine and saw his special black cut off shoe with no room for the front of his foot. I saw him limp back up the stairs and as he loaded his pipe, he gave my Dad instuctions on what to do next and I then went with my Dad as he made the rounds of his friends in the Party. My Dad told me before he died that the Man was named Jack LeBlanc, a CP man from France.....but I remember he had no accent. Not too many years ago while watching a documentary on JFK, down the street in Dealy Plaza came a group of the Warren Commission. The camera focused for a second on the limping man's foot and Bingo, he was wearing the same shoe and it was Allen Dulles...The same guy who fooled me and my Dad and so my Dad was unknowingly following the instuctions of the man who became head of the CIA. About 4 or 5 years later George Bush and his little son, W, were in town when we were living in Willowick O. They would come by and watch me and my friends play football at the Park on the Lake and the golf course on Lake shore drive. One day my friend Johnny Yakel said that the man liked us and wanted us to be in a new Allen Ladd movie. I went over to Johnny's Moms house and Big George came in the living room dressed in a cowboy dude outfit and we were alone while Mrs Yakel waited in the kitchen. We talked about our shared ancestors in the English Throne and the new movie Ivanhoe, but instead of us being in a movie, George started talking about the White Hats and Black hats and the need for National Security and some Communist spy case and he wanted me to keep track of who comes to visit our house and let him know who. My Folks were on vacation...and I was crying on the way home and told my grandma Cohen and she said in her yiddish accent, "the Bastards, they are startin again". When I complained to my Folks they both ignored me and always pretended that eveything was fine but I was always supposed to be careful what I said and on the phone ect. My friend Johnny came over on his bike one day and said that the man beat him with a strap and wanted him to stay away from me because my Grandma Cohen was a bad person. I know she did call someone and even though my folks would not do anything about the man beating Johnny, the FBI came over but my dad would not talk to them. A friend at school told me that the man was Civil Air Patrol and other kids said he thought he was like a George Washington and Believe it or not, Mrs Yakel told me he was doing this because he thought it would help him be President some day! She said he was in the Oil business and his Dad was some big shot. One day I asked Big George if this was all about Russia and he said something like "Oh no, we do business with Russia too"... A teacher at my school, who knew my folks, said it was happening because my parents were Stooges for the Communist Party. Anyway this kind of intrigue continued all my life and it even lead up to my being set up with my friend Phil Ochs for stuff happening around the JFK assassination. Since this is a bio I probably should mention that I was a write-in candidate for Prez in the 92 election on a platform of "Lets End CIA Control of our Lives and for the release all JFK records. And yes I have written to every branch of our government about my observations of the JFK case too.
