  1. George Gaudet - “believes Warren Report is a fairy story” Mention of him and Oswald and how he checks with Bill before he can talk about the travel permit for Mexico City “Thinks E.Howard Hunt knows more about Dallas than any other person he can think of. Hunt was “God” to the Cubans” “Knows of LHO’s cousin, Marilyn Murrett in an intelligence connection” Suggests several people for interview at the bottom https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/180-10112-10390.pdf
  2. CIA document on Charles William Wiley Page 55 of the PDF - “Sometime in very late 1963, Wiley prepared a report containing information on Lee Harvey Oswald which he received from Enrique Abascal, wherein Abascal alleged he met Oswald in New York “last winter in Greenwich Village.”” Page 76 of the PDF - (e) The Kennedy Book - “Wiley commented that his friend Dick Whalen, an outstanding young writer, has just completed a book on either Joseph B. Kennedy or the Kennedy family for which Whalen received $100,000 in advance. Wiley states that he has helped Whalen write the book, giving him advice and assisting him editorially. Wiley states that there are two items of which he is extremely pleased of his work in connection with this book (1) He convinced Whalen to rewrite the chapter on the Bay of Pigs, focusing the blame from the CIA to John F. Kennedy and (2) He had deleted from the book an entire section which was devoted to alleging that CIA was responsible for the assassination of Trujillo” https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/157-10011-10121.pdf

  6. CIA response to the draft committee report on assassinations on page 3 complains about the reference on page 122 "The agency effort to obtain FPCC stationery (redacted) for use in a deception operation is still classified since it involves sources and methods" https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/157-10002-10398.pdf

  12. 28 November 1963 memorandum by Lawrence F. Barker (Robert Shaw) on meetings with LITAMIL-9 (Luis Alberu Soeto) an informant in the Cuban embassy Report mentioning the assassination starts on page 9. He has called Barker/Shaw on the night of the 23rd. He “was asked if he had ever seen Oswald - no. Had he ever heard that Oswald visited the Cuban Embassy in Mexico - no. Did he know anyone in the Cuban Embassy that knew Oswald or knew anything about him - no. (At this time Sylvia Duran was in the hands of the Mexican Police but L-9 was obviously unaware of her detention). Asked what the reaction of those inside the Embassy was to the news of the Presidents death, L-9 said that he had heard very little talk about it, that the Saturday morning staff meeting was a short, perfunctory affair, but that just about everyone seemed to be truly shocked.” They have another meeting on the 27th November — this bit is a bit indistinct - Sylvia is back in the Embassy - ‘said that she has been held for 6 hours by the Federal Police. She seemed quite pleased with her performance - said she kept reminding the police that the constitution guaranteed her freedom from such persecution. To this the police just laughed and said that the constitution wouldn’t do her much good in jail, she had better cooperate if she wanted to get out. She freely/finally (?) admitted that she had seen Oswald in the Consulate, that he came looking for a visa” “L-9 had nothing more to offer on the assassination - was again shown a photo of Oswald - never saw the man. He said that there is not much talk around the Embassy about the killing” https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/104-10185-10266.pdf His earlier reports from 1962 are in this one so he seems quite knowledgable about what is going on in and around the Embassy - It appears he identifies the LIERODE photo’s of people coming and going. I wonder if they ever asked him about the Oswald ones that aren’t…. https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/104-10185-10265.pdf Later ones are here https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/104-10185-10267.pdf Also mentioned here https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/104-10185-10264.pdf All the above were previously withheld in full and released in the 3rd November release.
  13. Sure I have seen quite a few references to Bernard Barker on this forum over the years is here is whats was released in the 3rd November 2017 release under the title Bernard Barker - https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/104-10164-10000.pdf
  14. The much redacted personnel file of David Sanchez Morales came out in the 3rd November 2017 release - in his 1961 report "Speaking operationally, Mr Morales is a one man gang." https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/104-10222-10019.pdf
  15. On another thread on this forum members identified one of the releases as Op Files (Staff employee) and no specific name given Here is another one with no name listed . I think this is the file of Arnold Arehart/Charles Flick - tape operations in Mexico City station “Those who are unaware of it should know that subject spent many years, until last January, having to work with an unpleasant, venal, untruthful, and lazy supervisor of the operation. (The new president fired him)” Quite the reference ! https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/104-10222-10045.pdf
  16. From the 3rd November 2017 release and previously withheld in full a small number of 1959/1960 docs asking for info on Permindex...Not particularly legible in places. https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/104-10291-10009.pdf
  17. These three fitness reports on George Joannides for 1963, 1964 and 1979 have been released before some years ago. Seeing they were released as part of the 9th November 2017 batch I compared the versions here with the ones on the MFF site. These ones have the employee serial number complete 064818 and the grade is shown as GS-14 so there are slight differences. I'm not sure if anything can be gleaned from an employee serial number ? https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/104-10304-10000.pdf The 1979 one covers his HSCA work - "Further, the firm position that he took with the young investigators in response to aggressive harassment on some occasions was exactly what the situation called for."
  18. Listed on the xls as having been previously withheld in full is this one from the 26th October 2017 release 409 page PDF on individuals of interest to the Protective Research Service - A few names we know in here Gerry Patrick Hemming, Richard Case Nagell, Orlando Bosch I was interested in this one though as I scrolled down PDF page 388 - William Evert Randle "Reason for PRS interest - 11/63 subject claimed to have 2 or 3 doors from LHO and knew Oswald personally. This is was rumoured if JFK came to Dallas, he would be killed" "Date called to Secret Service attention - 11/23/63" "Action taken - Interviewed 11/28/63 : denied knowing LHO and remarked only that Oswald had lived somewhere in neighbourhood. Information determined groundless, deemed not of protective interest." https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/docid-32241845.pdf
  19. Thanks for sharing Ernie. For anyone interested it's not got just Hemming records in there is also a 1992 Carl Oglesby piece about the movie JFK for Playboy and at the bottom are some other people's army records including Kerry Thornley
  20. Can't remember if this has been discussed here before but withheld in full until the 3rd November 2017 release is the personnel file of James B Wilcott jr https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/104-10195-10003.pdf
  21. Paul B asked on another thread about June Cobb. One listed on the xls as previously withheld in full is this one - However there are a lot of blank pages in here The top bit is about the translation of a book mentioned elsewhere on the forum I believe. Then a lot of blank pages. There is then one page if you scroll far enough "WH comment: Ref related Mexi concern at LINCOOKY/LINLUCK relationship, and asked for authority to pressure them apart" then more blank pages and finally the last page has "She was recruited in June 1960 and has been utilised by SAS and WH Division since that time" signed J.M Whitten https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/104-10175-10176.pdf
  22. Released in the October 26 batch previously withheld in full according to the xls Relates to the 1964 investigation into Oswald's potential bus trip - Not sure if it's just me but this section reads a bit odd "Upon reinterview today Anastasio Ruiz Meza advised that after considering circumstances of his trip and consulting with superior to determine if cooperation in this matter might be inimical his best interests he is certain that young American who had incident at Kilometer 26 Immigration Station was Oswald" https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/docid-32263070.pdf
  23. Sure I read somewhere GPIDEAL was JFK ? Might be misremembering that though Wasn't Nosenko in the Second Directorate ?
  24. From the July release previously withheld in full about Marina. HSCA NBR and hardly legible in places. The first page you can make out "It is my firm belief that such further debriefing of Mrs Oswald is necessary because of numerous mistakes in her Soviet documentation, suspicious gaps and discrepancies in her story regarding her life in the USSR: and some peculiarities in her correspondence with addresses in the USSR, which strongly suggest that some form of open code was employed between here and her correspondents in the USSR" At the bottom are four legible pages and some letters "strongly suggest that some form of open code was employed between Marina and her correspondents in the USSR. Following are some examples:" Needless to say thats where the story ends and there are no examples... https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/docid-32404866.pdf
  25. I remember following a thread about Oswald in Montreal some time ago. This is from Friday's release and was previously issued in part according to the xls. I've not seen the redacted one so I don't know if this one is different or not.... https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/docid-32130277.pdf
