  1. Greg, no doubt, has seen himself quoted at the tail end of this. (Not excerpted.) http://aconstantineblacklist.blogspot.com/...rch-cia_12.html George Michael Evica's A Certain Arrogance A Book Review by Robert D. Morningstar November 22, 2006 http://www.amazon.com/Certain-Arrogance-Ge...a/dp/1413464777 Oh, how terrible and barbarous are those Islamic Fundamentalists! How devious and demonic appear those Mullahs and Ayatollahs shown to us on CNN and Fox News each day and night, manipulating and perverting the religious teachings of a "religion of peace" to indoctrinate young minds towards self-destruction, suicide bombing and terrorism. How perverse of them it is to use religion as an excuse to attain political and military objectives. And, Oh, how much more moral are we than they! We, the self-righteous, morally and ethically "superior" Westerners who eschew such debased use of religious dogma as propaganda and mass mind-control tactics in the indoctrination of our own citizens. "Not so!" might say Professor George Michael Evica, an outstanding and well-respected expert of JFK assassination and US intelligence history, through his riveting new book, entitled A Certain Arrogance. In A Certain Arrogance (Iron Sights Press, 2006), Professor Evica reveals the history of the recruitment and indoctrination of US intelligence assets (spies/assassins) for OSS and CIA beginning during World War II when, through the work of OSS members Wild Bill Donovan and Allan Dulles, religious institutions, particularly, the Unitarian Church and the Quaker movement, were used as "fronts" in the selection and culling of candidates for espionage and special operations by America's intelligences services, OSS and CIA, domestically and abroad. From OSS World War II operations in Switzerland to the Congo of the 1950s and 1960s to Patrice Lamumba University in Moscow, Evica takes the reader on a meticulously documented tour of international intrigues involved in the training of intelligence operatives through their education and indoctrination at various institutions run by religious organizations. Foremost among these in American intelligence gathering and special operations were the Unitarian Church and the Quakers. However, Evica shows us that these are not the same Quakers we think of when we remember the warmth and quiet courage of Gary Cooper and Friendly Persuasion. Professor Evica begins his chronicle of covert operations with the recruitment, education and indoctrination of Lee Harvey Oswald as began his peregrinations in 1958-59 toward his defection to Russia by passing through Switzerland's Albert Schweitzer College, where the CIA and FBI maintained contacts and operatives. Evica chronicles the historic role of the Rockefeller clan in funding "missionary activities throughout the world" for intelligence gathering and suppression of undesirable activist social movements beginning in the early 188o's to gather intelligence information in order to quash American Indian activities in the West. Evica states: "As early as 1883, the Rockefellers had 'used [Christian] missionaries to gather intelligence about [Native American] insurgencies in the West or to discourage them.' In the United States and later throughout Central and South America, Family Rockefeller power was linked to Christian missionary work." The Rockefeller method of using Christian military activities in conjunction with financial power proved to be so successful in consolidating the Rockefeller Empire in the Americas that it was then employed in the Far East, in China, Korea, Philippines and Taiwan. By 1957, the Rockefellers had enlisted American Fundamentalist Revivalism as a national power base and put their support behind the evangelist, Billy Graham. Evica's book takes the reader back and forth across continents and oceans both to the Far East, Korea and Nationalist Taiwan, and to Europe, but always after short side trips, Evica returns the travels of Lee Harvey Oswald as he made his way inevitably to Dallas, Texas and the site of the JFK Assassination. Ruth and Michael Paine A Quaker & A Unitarian Lee Oswald's Dallas "Handlers" Throughout his meandering journey, Oswald repeated encounters operatives of Unitarian, Quaker and Southern Baptist Fundamentalist missionary activities. For example, Oswald's "friends" and hosts in Dallas, Michael and Ruth Paine, who took Marina Oswald under her wing, were associated with both the Unitarian and the Quaker missionary movements. Evica suggests (as this writer has often asserted) that Michael Paine, "a physical Oswald double," may have acted in that capacity to bring attention in a negative way to Oswald's activities by setting up "political confrontations" at Southern Methodist University on Sundays after attending as "a communicant at a 'nearby' Unitarian Church." The religious intrigues surrounding the life and death of Lee Harvey Oswald, as detailed and documented by Evica in this masterful work, shed a disturbing light on the events in Dallas on November 22, 1963 and suggest an almost direct link to current history-altering and world-shaping national and international events in which our nation is today engaged (although "embroiled" may be a more appropriate term). The importance of this work is self-evident and shows that the JFK assassination is as important today as on the day it happened, exactly 43 years ago today (I chose to compose on this day intentionally for this reason). George Michael Evica's close friend and research associate for many years, Charles Drago, writes in his eloquent introduction to "A Certain Arrogance": "A Certain Arrogance stands as Professor Evica's response to the unavoidable question: How do we define and effect justice in the wake of the world-historic tragedy in Dallas? Clearly he understands that, at this late date, being content merely to identify and, if possible, prosecute the conspiracy's facilitators and mechanics would amount to hollow acts of vengeance. Cleaning and closing the wound while leaving the disease to spread is simply not an option." Mr. Drago goes on to make analogy between the JFK Assassination and a cancer that continues to spread through our government and contaminates and taints our history. From this short and eloquent diagnosis, current events clearly demonstrate that "the cancer" which infected government policy and national politics that day in Dallas, November 22nd, 1963 still persists, continues to grow in virulence and has created an all too patient but sick nation. The question remains "What is the remedy that will rid us of the cancer but not kill the patient?" This reviewer's response is: The remedy that will heal the nation and stop the cancer from spreading any farther is achieving "Justice for JFK." I recommend A Certain Arrogance to all those good citizens who are interested in recovering our national security from the Machiavellian manipulation of misguided patriot actors and religious fanatics who at the core are not dissimilar in credo, strategy and tactics from those same terrorists from whom they pretend to defend us. http://www.ufodigest.com/news/1106/certainarrogance.html
  2. Mods, is there a quick way to delete my old uploaded photos, other than searching from post to post, individually? Sorry to bump - Thanks
  3. I am continually astonished at how little the anti-alterationists know about visual continuity in film, and the eye's reaction to disruptions in it.
  4. That's covered in the thread on a poisoned trach stab at Parkland, thread started by Ashton Gray. Happened to read it recently.
  5. Do we see the eye pupils skewed outward in the "Stare of Death" photo? Perhaps fixation occurs naturally later? Did I miss the discussion of the other two patients? How about that Tippet guy?
  6. Thanks David. That clears that up once and for all. Wiki version: "From 1898 through to 1910 diacetylmorphine was marketed under the name heroin as a non-addictive morphine substitute and cough suppressant. Bayer marketed heroin as a cure for morphine addiction before it was discovered that it rapidly metabolizes into morphine. As such, heroin is essentially a quicker acting form of morphine. The company was embarrassed by the new finding, which became a historic blunder for Bayer. "In the U.S.A. the Harrison Narcotics Tax Act was passed in 1914 to control the sale and distribution of "heroin" and other opioids, which allowed the drug to be prescribed and sold for medical purposes. In 1924 the United States Congress banned its sale, importation or manufacture. It is now a Schedule I substance, which makes it illegal for non-medical use in signatory nations of the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs treaty, including the United States. "Later, as with Aspirin, Bayer lost some of its trademark rights to 'heroin' under the 1919 Treaty of Versailles following the German defeat in World War I." As I recall from elsewhere, the "hero" was injected into the brand name "heroin" to acknowledge that soldiers had acquired morphine addiction in military hospitals.
  7. Etymologically, "heroin" is derived from the root of "heroism" (or "heroics," eroica). The intent had been to create an honorific brand name for what was once hoped to be a marketable battlefield painkiller - by the German firm Beyer, I think?
  8. No bullets were found. Please review Gil Jesus' breakthrough analysis -- "Was JFK Trying to Cough Up a Bullet?" I find this analysis corroborated by the testimonies of Nellie Connally, Clint Hill, and Rosemary Willis' sister Linda -- all of whom describe JFK as pre-occupied with his throat. Jackie said he had a "quizzical" look. Are you going to have a "quizzical" look on your face if a FMJ hits your throat? No, I don't think so, either. JFK was clearly reacting to throat trauma and became paralyzed within 2 seconds. There was a hairline fracture of the T1 right transverse process -- hardly an immobilizing injury. The head shots were integral to the cover-up, not the killing. The plotters took no chances. They paralyzed the target before moving in for the kill. Scorpion logic. They did! The back wound was probed and found shallow, consistent with a blood soluble round. The neck x-ray shows a bruised lung tip, the aforementioned hairline fracture of the right T1 transverse process...and an airpocket overlaying C7 and T1. What kind of round leaves an air pocket and no bullet? A blood soluble round. I'm going to just dash off this bit tonight, then perhaps revisit later: I concede certain rhetorical flaws - yes, no bullets were found for the back and throat wounds, etc. But -- If you're going for one possible scenario (among several possible) of pinning this on Castro or Moscow, with either a lone commie dupe or a conspiracy team shooting, why go through such complexity to paralyze the man, when all you need to do is put some surgically-alterable fatal wounds in him? Was it bureaucratic, to keep technical division types at Langley happy? Really - who ordered this? Guys who hated Kennedy for not letting them poison Castro's cigars? I don't believe it was technically possible or feasible to put a flechette neatly and invisibly in the throat. Anybody who does has to account for technology, position and street slope, necktie nicks and collar holes (those, that is, not ascribed to Ashton Gray's poison syrette thread). Oh, and the possibility of both misses and hits to the clothing or face noticed by witnesses. They did need invisibility here, right? Or else, Greer may just as well have done it. And, if no throat bullet at Parkland, why no throat flechette in its place? Was the throat bullet too deep to be found at Parkland, then removed after Dallas, at or before Bethesda? The empty back wound location would have been a far better option for an invisible poison-pill shot, as Cliff suggests - assuming that the muscle would have transmitted the toxin fast enough. Could they count on any body location transmitting enough dosage in the very few seconds necessary? This may be one place where Prouty's experiential knowledge overreached, and spawned HSCA disinfo, repeated down to our day.
  9. It's interesting to see just how early Watergate spin hit the historical presses. Thomas Powers' book on Dick Helms, The Man Who Kept the Secrets (in many respects a worthy book), expends a great deal of prose arguing that Helms didn't set up Nixon using Hunt and the Cubans, in 1978. Powers discounts Haldeman's tale of the unflappable Helms suddenly flapping like mad at Nixon's message that a Watergate investigation "could open the whole BOP thing." (HRH's The Ends of Power had been published just 11 months earlier.)
  10. I'm thinking that the "other Zapruder film" is only going to appear through an individual or small-group effort.
  11. We need that "other" Zapruder film that people talk about, now, by any means necessary.
  12. With all respect to RFK - it took a great deal of naivete in the RFK camp to see Dr. King go down and not understand that their man was next. If the RFK camp thought that Johnson's abdication removed their candidate's enemies in an election year, some big-picture thinking was missed, as was the significance to the big picture of the return of the former VP from the heyday of BOP planning.
  13. Does anybody know anything further about the infrared analysis of the Z-film described by Gary Null in the Pacifica Radio episodes transcribed above? Or about the visibility of a "shooter's bag" in a tree in Dealey? The available links all go to repeats of the same info.
  14. Forgive me my licence, everybody - but I have come to believe that this Forum will not be complete until a hit is actually organized, contracted, and carried out here, a la Paddy Chayefsky's Network.
  15. I agree with you, John, that Banister was logistically important, even philosophically important, in the JFK hit. But to the ultimate conspirators, he was just about as expendable as a gay former airline pilot or a strip-club owner (both of whom might have trumpeted their own conceptions of their individual logistical-philosophical importance, for all the good it would have done them).
  16. And it seems he died a bankrupt. According to Harold Weisberg (I think it is in Oswald In New Orleans) Bannister was many months behind on his office rent when he died. THis indicates that Bannister is one person who did not profit from the JFK assassination, and that fact -- plus the absence of reliable evidence against him -- makes him a most unlikely suspect, IMHO. As loose a cannon as "Sparky" Ruby, Banister may just have been cut out of the loop along with other embarrassing Cuba invasion types, before his inevitable termination. Or the non-payment may have been meant to hasten his death - Banister was something of a walking heart attack (the Martin assault, the gun discharge on duty), and a heavy drinker to boot.
  17. Why not? PATRIOT Act I and II did, so why wouldn't this be used as another "opportunity" by the fascists/neocons? It's kind of like playing "What's My Line?" with Dorothy Kilgallen, innit?
  18. Not to push this into absurdity - but folksinger Phil Ochs claimed he was in Dealey, I believe while serving in the military. Has he ever been identified in photos?
  19. Would danger to Obama be used to remove more civil liberties?...
  20. My recollection is that the "backyard photo" was an American convention for at least a decade after 1963. It allowed the house-proud to get the house in the shot, without taking the photo in front of the house and seeming pretentious - or causing the nosy neighbors to come over. Perhaps Jack has some shadow effects to compare, however.
  21. I don't challenge Bill overall, but I'm convinced that "LHO" knew that the Paines were intel ops: "Now everyone will know who I am..."; plus the depth of the Paines' involvement and interest in the "Oswald" couple. I don't know if Marina knew before the assassination - but how could "Oswald" not know? I think he knew that DeMorenschildt was a handler also. Sides shifted and were concealed - but does a spook not know a spook, or associate with many who aren't spooks? The question is, how many of these spooks were overtly out to get Kennedy, and what did "Oswald" know about that?
  22. I have to say that the three most disappointing revelatory books on Dallas that I've read were the LaFontaines, Kaiser, and Barr McClellan.
  23. "Now everyone will know who I am" ...Sure, because you've just linked yourself to an op who's even more out there than you are. However, Lee...this is the least of your problems now. Watch out for Jacks bearing gifts during the perp walk. Tosh, come back, please.
  24. That Jackie call sounds so faceitiously seductive, so disingenuous, so "phony," that I cannot see other than ulterior motive in it. I recall that it was played in on one of the cable networks' (History channel?) "LBJ Secret Tapes" documentaries of a couple years ago, and I believe that Jackie got on the phone either before or after Bobby did. So - when somebody sugars up an old ham - they must have plans to eat him.
  25. I've heard the Jackie and RFK calls referred to. I've always felt they were purposely sugaring LBJ up, Jackie perhaps with RFK's connivance?
