My goodness. This nonsense again? This preposterous theory has been debunked for years. And as for putting any faith whatsoever in Tom Wilson's alleged photo processing, the fact that his work never was and never can be properly peer reviewed should say everything one needs to know.

14 hours ago, Leslie Sharp said:As veteran researcher and coauthor of Coup in Dallas Alan Kent knows, the question of Paul Landis' movements are germane to David Lifton's final investigation.
Now that Landis' actions at Parkland have resurfaced, we can expand a bit further by sharing that Pierre Lafitte's records indicate the Lancelot Project clean up extended to Parkland, e.g. mention of "Dr. Duke."There is no such person as "Dr. Duke."

In fairness, Talbot is using Landis' revelation to apply further pressure on mainstream media, but what if Landis's mea culpa unravels under scrutiny that should have been applied from the outset to get ahead of the cynics? (obviously I'm projecting here ... Coup in Dallas should not have been published until we secured professional written authentication of the datebook, full stop.)
This should open the reporting floodgates: since there were clearly at least two shooters that day, who were they? Who did they work for?By pursuing the mystery that continues to haunt America, the New York Times and the rest of the press can begin to win back its credibility. Now that the official version of the Kennedy assassination has been debunked, other more tantalizing stories beckon. What are you talking about? Landis' story is being given PLENTY of scrutiny right now - have you failed to notice the half-dozen different threads here on the subject?

"Since it doesn't exist anymore?" Uh, no...

You're making my point, Charles. Why would seasoned researchers who have exposed the ineptitude of DPD turn around and accept what could be read as Landis's belated mea culpa unconditionally? Why not "ask the questions"?
On what planet are "seasoned researchers" blindly accepting Landis' story "unconditionally" ? Nothing of the sort is happening. It's also bizarre for you to make such a statement when you're the one unwilling to engage in honest debate about the authenticity of the alleged datebook at the heart of "Coup in Dallas" ...
-
David, you're correct that Landis has never mentioned this crucial evidentiary detail until now. I suppose whether one believes his reasons for doing so will color one's opinions of the validity of his statements now.
-
Was surprised nobody had posted the link to this story, which is detailed by Vanity Fair. Secret Service agent Paul Landis now claims he retrieved an intact bullet from the top of the rear seat of the presidential limousine in the minutes after the assassination and placed it on President Kennedy’s stretcher at Parkland Hospital.

As much as I deeply respect the work of Dr. Newman, I find it very hard to believe that bumbling Watergate burglar James McCord was a Soviet spy...

What rubbish.
This forum has commentaries by such luminaries as James DiEugenio and Larry Hancock.
Quality before quantity.
W, the point is that all of the ridiculous conspiracy theories outlined in my original post, plus the wall-to-wall spamming by Linda O'Hara about a datebook of dubious authenticity, frequently overshadow the excellent research presented on this forum by Larry, Joe Backes, Jeremy B., and others.

Some of the posts here are embarrassing, in particular regarding provenance of evidence.
The JFKA community could easily become a laughing stock.
This forum already borders, if not crosses well into, laughing stock territory due to its embrace of preposterous nonsense such as Lee Oswald doppelgangers, the Three Tramps being different people than their arrest records confirm they are, every film and photo taken in Dealey Plaza having been altered, and so on. It's really a shame.

Pat,
If you spent more time looking for the truth and less time looking for evidence of a conspiracy, the quality of your findings would be much greater.
IMHO
Isn't it a bit rich for you to be telling anybody here how they should be researching this case?

So, if Oswald was in fact in Mexico City — not to establish an image but for something else entirely — would you venture what that something else might have been?
Exactly what he told Cuban and Russian officials during the trip - to obtain a visa to return to the Soviet Union.

Why don't you visit the reviews and the cover blurbs; get back to me when you have.
I have. And the majority of reviews from actual students of the case find the book to not be credible.
-
You're making a big deal out of a made-for-TV fake trial. Who cares what Lopez said then? Gerry is correct that the Lopez report does NOT say Oswald never visited the Cuban consulate and Mexican embassy.

Even Frazier does not put a person into the WEST corner of the landing... wonder why?
Because he didn't see and/or wasn't paying attention to whoever was there?

Vince Salandria was rarely mistaken, but when he said, they'll wear you down, he hadn't met Albarelli or those of us who recognized his revelations would shift the cold case murder investigation 180 degrees.
Uh-huh. That must be why hardly any serious student of the Kennedy assassination believes your conclusions.

His investigation concluded no such thing. He personally might have thought that, but the investigation itself did not.
Amen, Gerry. Thank you for pointing this out.

I agree with Larry Hancock and the interview with Hargraves in the back of his book. Tangodown63 is a great resource besides Larry. It's comical a guy would bring an umbrella to the hearing and claimed he still has it from 15 years ago.
It's also comical you believe the three Tramps aren't actually the men their arrest records say they are.

Why should discussion of the history of this most curious corporate entity be prohibited?
I'm not saying it should be prohibited. It should just be moved out of the JFK Assassination forum, because the only aspect that bears even a tangential relationship to the subject is the unverified "datebook."
-
Once again, a series of posts that have no connection whatsoever to the JFK assassination. Will the moderators please intervene?
-
Yet another un-asked for, lengthy post from Leslie Sharp that has absolutely nothing to do with the Kennedy assassination. Will it ever stop?

What does ANY of this have to do with the Kennedy assassination?

Gen. Walker, identified as a significant force within the John Birch Society, was in direct communication with OAS officials in early 1963 — post Algerian Independence.
So what? Walker communicated with many people who shared his beliefs during this time.

Utterly meaningless until authenticated by proper authorities.

"An apparent assassination attempt" ? Clickbait, much?
“The suspect never brandished the gun or threatened anyone," said the LAPD.
