  2. Digital World Acquisition Group, the company behind Truth Social, Donald Trump's new social media site. The stock fell by more than 19% yesterday. Doesn't look like it's going well. Reuters notes that "Trump and his business interests are the subject of numerous investigations from U.S. authorities." And Digital World Acquisition Corp. reportedly highlighted the risks of being associated with Trump in the regulatory filing. "The Purchaser hereby acknowledges the controversial nature of being associated with the Company Principal and the Company Principal's family," the filing states. Not the most glowing endorsement I've seen in a Prospectus. Steve Thomas
  3. A hiker got lost in the mountains of Colorado He was lost for 24 hours. He ignored calls from his rescuers. Because they were coming from a number he didn't recognize. I can relate. Steve Thomas

During the Monday, Oct. 18, meeting of the Zeeland school board, Holland restaurant owner Marlena Pavlos-Hackney said she would sue the board members and contact the militia if students aren’t given a choice on masks.” Oh goody. Charlottesville’s reckoning: Unite the Right organizers go on trial by Jordan Green, Staff Reporter October 25, 2021 https://www.rawstory.com/charlottesvilles-reckoning-unite-the-right-organizers-go-on-trial/ “A civil trial against organizers of the deadly August 2017 Unite the Right rally gets underway in Charlottesville, Va. today, the culmination of more than four years of litigation.” Charlottesville was the coming out party. 6. i just had a passing thought, apropos of nothing really. Gary Taylor, who knew Oswald in late, 1962, was also a part-time cab driver on the weekends. I wonder if they knew each other. Steve Thomas
  7. Cory, I don't recognize the tall white building over the top of Clint Hill's head, but if you take a look at Google Earth, you can see large buildings extending north along Stemmons Freeway for quite some distance. If you read the first few entries of the Dallas Dispatch tapes, there was some concern about the large numbers of people crossing Stemmons Freeway on foot. I think that's reflected in the crowd of people lining the highway in the first picture you showed. In the second (small) picture in your second post, you can still see Clint Hill's right leg extended out over trunk. I sure as heck wouldn't want to travel down the interstate doing 80 mph trying to balance like that, but who am I to say? The first picture in your second post provides confirmation to witnesses who said that the Secret Service men were brandishing submachine guns. Steve Thomas

  10. Trump's Big Lie is the new Lost Cause — and it may poison the country for decades Lucian K. Truscott IV, Salon October 23, 2021 https://www.rawstory.com/trump-s-big-lie-is-the-new-lost-cause-and-it-may-poison-the-country-for-decades/ “Donald Trump had to be handed a loss in 2020 in order to begin championing his new Lost Cause. There won't be another one. If he runs and wins in 2024, we will not recognize the smoking ruins left by a second Trump victory. It won't take them long to begin erecting statues to Steve Bannon and Tucker Carlson and renaming public squares after the "Great Replacement." The only question is, what will the Daughters of the New Confederacy call themselves? The Mistresses of Mar-a-Lago?” Steve Thomas
  11. Gil, So far, I have found seven versions or copies of the Report that Captain Will Fritz of the the DPD Homicide and Robbery Bureau filed concerning his Interrogations of Lee Harvey Oswald. There are two versions of Fritz's interview with Oswald in the DPD Archives. One is in Box 1 and another is in Box 15. 1) Interrogation, by an unknown author. Typed rough draft with handwritten corrections pertaining to the interrogation of Lee Harvey Oswald, (Original), date unknown. DPD Archives Box 1, Folder# 15, Item# 1. Consists of 12 pages. This is the version of the Interrogation that has stenographer's notes. https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=217800#relPageId=546 Page 5 of Fritz’s Interrogation. Page 550 of the pdf file https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=217800#relPageId=550 This was handwritten in the margin of the typed copy and was to be inserted into the body where you see the stenographer’s notes: 2) Interrogation, by J. W. Fritz. Draft of the interrogation of Lee Harvey Oswald, (Photocopy) Poor Quality), date unknown DPD Archives, Box 15, Folder# 1, Item# 111. This consists of 13 pages. By starting new paragraphs as called for in the draft in Box 1, this draft has been extended to 13 pages. You can also see the differences between page 5 in Box1 and page 6 in Box 15 where Fritz wanted language added about the bus transfer in Oswald's pocket. This tells me that the draft in Box 1 came first. https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=217813#relPageId=157 (page 6 of the Interrogation, page 162 of the pdf file). Did Fritz forget that Oswald had a bus transfer in his pocket? Did Oswald forget to tell Fritz about the cab ride? Were these handwritten notes added at a later time to clean up the record? I personally believe the latter because I believe that Fritz’s notes were altered in an unsuccessful attempt to remove evidence of a 12:35 PM interview of Oswald on Saturday afternoon. Steve Thomas
  12. Woman arrested on allegations she threatened judge in Georgia ballot case 2021/10/20 © TheAtlantaJournalConstitution https://nordot.app/823734024349302784?c=592622757532812385 ATLANTA — Police have arrested a Kentucky woman who allegedly threatened a Georgia judge and his family after he dismissed a lawsuit that sought to inspect absentee ballots for signs of fraud in last year’s presidential election. Erin Northup, 42, is accused of leaving a threatening voicemail with Henry County Superior Court Judge Brian Amero’s judicial assistant soon after he issued his ruling last week, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities declined to release details about the call. Amero received “a plethora of calls” after he threw out the last remaining major lawsuit over Georgia’s 2020 election. The lawsuit, filed by supporters of former Republican President Donald Trump, asked the judge to unseal 147,000 absentee ballots cast in Fulton County so they could search for counterfeits. 13. Oswald supposedly left work and walked seven blocks east, only to get on a bus heading back west towards the scene of the crime. I'm sorry, but that makes no sense. This "Owald", boarded a bus in front of the Rio Grande Building. The Rio Grande Building was a 297 ft. tall, 19 story building in downtown Dallas now known as the Rio Grande Life Building. 14. Militias with Badges Here come the sheriffs of MAGA-town By Charlie Sykes https://morningshots.thebulwark.com/p/militias-with-badges “In announcing its new "Sheriff’s Fellowship" the [Claremont]Institute (employer of coup author, John Eastman) tied together last year’s urban disorders, Covid-19 lockdowns, and “the electoral disaster of 2020,” and declared that “our nation's conservative movement needs a countervailing network of uncorrupted law enforcement officials.” Specifically, Claremont envisions a cadre of sheriffs “not beholden to bureaucratic masters, and whose geographic boundaries, jurisdictional latitude, and - most important - direct connection and responsibility to citizens, places them on the frontlines of the defense of civilization.” Think of it as militias with badges, guns, and formal law enforcement powers. Or, if you like, secession-by-sheriff.” “Indeed, Claremont is late to the game. The so-called Constitutional Sheriffs have been a thing for quite a while now. “Although the Oath Keepers, another anti-government extremist group that recruits from law enforcement, have garnered more media attention in recent years,” the Anti-Defamation League said in their report, the Constitutional Sheriff movement “has arguably had more success infiltrating law enforcement, including at the executive level.” “ The central tenet of [the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association], borrowed from the anti-government extremist sovereign citizen movement, is that the county sheriff is the ultimate authority in the county, able to halt enforcement of any federal or state law or measure they deem unconstitutional. “” “If Claremont gets its way, there will be sheriffs like Joe Arpaio, David Clarke, and Mark Lamb all across the country. You are not worried nearly enough about what that might mean.” Steve Thomas
  15. Complaining that "our culture today is trying to completely demasculate all the young men," Rep. 18. Donald Trump actually did us a favor. The more people try and ride his coattails, the more people are going to look askance at him and his claims. Laura Loomer baselessly claims she won her election in 2020 (FL-21) and that the election was stolen from her. She lost by over 80,000 votes. “"I won," Loomer falsely claimed. "I won, the election was stolen, just like it was stolen from Donald Trump. I won my election."” (Florida's 21st Congressional District includes Palm Beach). https://twitter.com/i/status/1449510472198197248 Steve Thomas
  19. Bannon tells cheering crowd he's going 'to return Donald Trump to his rightful ownership of this presidency' by Brad Reed October 13, 2021 https://www.rawstory.com/steve-bannon-trump-presidency/ “While speaking at the "Save America Freedom Tour" in Virginia, Bannon elaborated on why he's gone all-in on Trump's false claims about the 2020 presidential election. "That's why 3 November is so important," he said, referring to the date of last year's election. "Number one: It has put the legitimacy of this regime in question to independents... Number Two is to make sure we get a fair accounting of what actually happened, we can't go forward without it. Number Three is to make sure they can't cheat us again. Number Four is to return Donald Trump to his rightful ownership of this presidency." Ownership? Steve Thomas
  20. David, I can't. I have to read some more from the Kraken lawyer, Sidney Powell and keep abreast of all the most recent developments. She's claiming that the U.S. Army has a contract with the National Institutes of Health to send all of our votes to a secret server somewhere, where they all get changed. Wonder if she told the dead guys in the Wisconsin prisons? Steve Thomas
  21. Tens of thousands of dead people are voting from prison!!!!!! - Mike Lindell – (aka the My Pillow Guy) "If you can pull up, I'm going to show you guys in Wisconsin, just an example, how 23,000 people voted using a prison address and used the same phone number," Lindell said during an interview posted on his namesake website, "and a lot of them were people that turned out, as we dove into it, they're not alive anymore, they just used their names obviously, and they don't live in Wisconsin." And obviously, they don't live in Wisconsin. I'm sorry. I just can't keep up any more. Steve Thomas
  22. Are you concerned about rising sea levels? “A Republican state legislative candidate in Virginia posed an interesting question on Twitter recently. "I'm curious, Do you think the sea level would lower, if we just took all the boats out of the water? Just a thought, not a statement," wrote Scott Pio, who is challenging Democratic Del. David Reid in Loudoun County's District 32.” by John Wright October 12, 2021 https://www.rawstory.com/scott-pio-sea-level/ A lot of people are asking questions, you know? Steve Thomas

  24. The Far-Right John Birch Society Wants Anti-Mask Protests to Fuel Its Comeback “The John Birch Society used to boost segregation. Now it’s back to attack schools over mask mandates.” by Kelly Weill Oct. 11, 2021 https://www.thedailybeast.com/far-right-john-birch-society-wants-anti-mask-protests-to-fuel-its-comeback?ref=home “On a sunny Saturday in a Knoxville, Tennessee park, a man with a microphone told a crowd of parents to bar entry to their children’s schools. “Starting Monday morning and until this is over, we need to bring Knox County schools to a screeching halt,” he said to applause. He called on parents, students, and staff to participate. “We have a moral obligation to our children’s future. Block the entrance to the school with your car. That’s my suggestion. Block the entrance to the drive—don’t even let a bus in your schools. If you can be that bold in your groups, do it.” The event, “Parents In The Park” was billed as a meet-up for parents who objected to a mask mandate in Knox County schools. But the Sept. 26 gathering was more than just concerned caregivers. It was organized and hosted by the John Birch Society (JBS)…” Oh joy. Steve Thomas
  25. 'Beyond our current worst nightmares': Mental health experts warn about the likely effects of a Trump comeback by Chauncey Devega, Salon October 11, 2021 https://www.rawstory.com/trump-2024-2655269936/ “In a recent essay, author and pastor John Pavlovitz addresses this: [F]or the first time in America's history the latent ugliness in people was revealed and validated and celebrated by a sitting president — it was officially normalized. And what we're experiencing now; this staggering, insensitive posturing in the face of so many people's suffering, is the late-ripening fruit of something that has been set into the bedrock of half our nation. It is the malicious entitlement that MAGA was designed to nurture from the beginning.... This quickly metastasizing moral cancer is something we've never experienced on this level in our lifetimes and it's something we're going to have to reckon with regardless of the political outcomes of the next four years. If the former president somehow takes that office again, these stories will surely grow exponentially more violent and more commonplace, but either way, the ugliness is here now. The Trump Effect on America, is that once reasonable, rational human beings whose prejudices, fears, and phobias were all bound by some baseline decorum and common courtesy that kept them from intentionally harming others — have been empowered to revel in the worst of themselves. They believe cruelty is their birthright. Dr. David Reiss is a psychiatrist, expert in mental fitness evaluations and contributor to "The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump." You asked: What do I think will happen to America if Trump runs for office and wins in 2024? In my opinion, the even more frightening question is this: "What would it mean had happened to the American people and American society if Trump were returned to office in 2024?"” Steve Thomas
