About May 30, 1958 she met someone whom she thought was Ruby at Woodard's house in Islamorada, FL. Met Jack and Isabelle (LNU). Woodard a former Dallas policeman in 1954. Jack had a trunk full of guns and he inferred he was going to supply these to the Cubans. Interview with Miss Dolores Thompson, daughter of Mary Lou. Accompanied her mother to Islamorada. There is an outstanding arrest warrant for James Woodard. Woodard well known to Customs. Brother Carl says James never lived in Dallas and was never a policeman Knoxville FBI says Woodard a subject in an FBI investigation FBI 255 317-A Woodard tells FBI he was in BOP. Questioned 10/8/63 concerning dynamite found on his property. Said it was stored there by Cuban exiles. pdf 2136-2138. Interview of Nancy Perrin Rich. She and her husband attended four meetings. She told the WC she went to three. Ruby was present at three of those meetings. The Enfield rifles were coming from Mexico. Ruby was a bagman, but it was not his money. Said "Buddy King", MC would know of Ruby's operations. King "had something" on Ruby. Says "Syndicate Men" from Chicago and St. Louis came into Ruby's Club. Remembers an "Eddy Mark" from St. Louis. Detective Paul Rayburn was her boyfriend. Worked for Ruby for 5 weeks in summer of 1961. Engaged in prostitution. Later worked for T.J. Jeffries in his nightclub outside of Dallas. Dick C. at the University Club was her pimp.. Cy Victorson, her lawyer calls Nancy Rich a habitual xxxx. Pul Rayburn calls her a pathological xxxx. Dave Cherry, bartender at University Club says Rich is mentally deranged. St. Louis FBI looks for Eddy Mark. Totally negative. Interview with Frank Grant, Eva's ex-husband. pdf 2139. Interview with Meyer Ablon, nightclub owner and friend of Joe Bonds. Was instrumental in bringing Bonds and Ruby together pdf 2121-2122. James Barragan, owner of The Town Pump. Was at Carousel 2 years ago. Six uniformed policemen there. Drinks were being served after midnight while police were there. Interviews with people who had Club cards or were passing acquaintances. Paul R. Jones, Westovia Hills, Alabama. Thinks Ruby must have been paying off Police Department; otherwise would have been unable to put on such "raw shows." Nothing good to say about Chief Curry's ability. pdf 2122. Vincent Lee, former Branch Manager, AGVA. pdf 2123. Vincent Lee says Ruby and Bonds carried concealed pistols and were in constant association with Dallas safe cracker, Jack Todd; that Ruby, Bonds and Todd usually hung around Sue's Car Lot, 3400 Live Oak. He also associated with Green, probably Loyce Green. (Hollis de Lois Green?) Interviews with Club card holders or passing acquaintances. Interview with Kay Segrist. Ruby tried several times to date her, but she had never gone out with him because she thought him to be a hoodlum type with low character and no morals. pdf 2124. Hugh Gene Smith, former Dallas Police Officer. Makes reference to another former Police Officer named Denbo. Denbo used Ruby's apartment on several occasions. Rob Rich, who is a regular customer at the Vegas Club, once told Smith that Ruby attempted to get Bradley Turmon, an ex-prize fighter and also a bouncer at the Vegas Club to go to bed with him. Signed an affidavit claiming to have seen LHO with Ruby in the Carousel some time during the first two weeks of November. Failed a polygraph given by Detective R.D. Lewis. Ruby used his phone at 2:50 PM on 11/23/63. Ruby wrote him a letter from jail. page out of sequence. paragraph starts out"...was nover intimate with her or Joy." (probably Joy Dale) pdf 2130. Interview with Wanda Joyce Killam, former employee. Edward Pullman saw Ruby at the Texas Products Show between 11/1 and 11/10 1963. Ruby was very upset at some of the literature Mr. H.L. Hunt was passing out at his exhibit. Said Ruby told him that he was going to send some of the literature to President Kennedy and also to the FBI so that the authorities would know the nature of the literature put out by Hunt Western Union Telegram 11/24/63. This sentence was underlined. "The receipt was given to Ruby at his request when he filed the message." P.W. Campbell said he thought he saw Oswald talking Spanish with three men he took to be Cubans in front of the YMCA between October 25 and 31, 1963. pdf 2131. Investigation at the YMCA - dishwashers, elevator operators, desk clerks. Oswald checked in there on October 15 and checked out on October 19, 1962. He checked in on October 3 and checked out October 4. None really remembered Oswald, many saw Ruby because of his visits to the Health Club there. Ruby was always alone.   5. Peter, It it really going to the WC Memorial Museum in the TSBD? As Gary pointed out to me, the material has already been scanned and is available electronically. The 6th Floor Museum would love to have the originals. That's what museums are for. It was a convincing argument. As for Hudson, he was the grounds keeper for Dealey Plaza and the TSBD borders Dealey Plaza. It is not inconceivable that they might have met. Steve Thomas

Ruby asked him to handle correspondence and money issues. At first he said yes, but then changed his mind. Interview with William Edward Howard, Operator of the Stork Club. Knew Ruby for 12 years. She believes Ann told her that Joe Federici (formerly spelled Frederici) was at this party too. Ruby called him from jail and said, "If I had it to do over again, I sure wouldn't do it." pdf 2104. Interviews with various people who knew Ruby, friends, former employees, etc. J.L. Campbell, Humble Service Station thinks Ruby is a homosexual having a tendency to associate with young boys rather than women. Interview with Miss Elsie Johnson. She says Eva Graant told her that she (Eva) used to work for Al Capone. Diana (LNU) claims she can identify Oswald as the man who went with a Mexican stripper. Raymond Myers ties Ruby in with Joe Bonds. pdf 2105. Pete Lucas, Manager of Lucas B&B. "Ruby is a loud-mouthed obnoxious person and very belligerent. He kicked Ruby out of the B&B for fighting. "Ruel Alexander, Amarillo, a co-defendent with Billie Sol Estes, had an investigation made when he was considering buying a part of the Carousel Club and his investigator reported back that Ruby was a "queer."" Interview with Candy Barr. pdf 2106. Interview with Lewis McWillie. In early 1963, he asked Ruby to secure a gun for him. Elaine Mynier went to Cuba in 1959. Ruby saw her off at the airport and gave her a coded five number and letter message inlcuding the word, "Arriving" to give to McWillie. Told her to tell McWillie that "Sparky from Chicago is coming." pdf 2107. Seth Kantor says that Ruby was at Parkland Hospital at the time the President's death was announced at 1:28 PM. Tugged on Kantor's coat and spoke to him. pdf 2108. Warrren Ritchey, engineer for WBAP-TV says he saw Ruby on the Commerce St. sidewalk outside of the police station at about 9:00 AM on 11/24/63. John Smith, video reporter for WBAP-TV saw Ruby at about 8:00 AM on 11/24 standing on the Commerce St. sidewalk. WBAB-TV truck parked on Commerce St. about 25' from the basement ramp. Smith spoke to Ruby. Saw him again about 10:00 AM next to the ramp. Ruby looked like a person who was "just killing time." Ira Walker, employee WBAB-TV saw Ruby between 7:30 and 8:00 AM near WBAB-TV truck. Walker said he first saw Ruby shortly after the armored truck was backed into the basement of the Police Department. Ruby came up to the WBAP-TV truck and asked if Oswald had been brought down yet. Walker told him "no". uby came up to truck and asked this question on two occasions. Sam Pate, formerly with KBOX talked to Ruby at City Hall around midnight on 11/22. Ruby was not diturbed. Roy Pryor, printer at Dallas Times Herald spoke to Ruby at the Times Herald about 4:00 AM on 11/23. Ruby told Pryor that he had corected Henry Wade at the midnight press conference because, he "realized the Committee named by Wade was an Anti-Cuban Committee whereupon Oswald's Committee was Pro-Cuban." Interview with Earl Ruby. pdfs 284 - 286. Interview with George Senator. pdf 286. Interview with Thomas Palmer, branch manager of AGVA. His predecessor, Jack Brown, now in Chicago, had a Mrs. Hughes call Palmer on Novmeber 24, 1963 and tell Ruby that Jack Brown said, "Tell Jack not to send the letter today, it would be awkward in Chicago." Palmer said that may be related to Brown getting fired on 11/21 and Ruby writing a letter asking that Brown be reinstated. pdf 288. Interview with Mrs. Leona Kirilencko AKA Lee Berry, former stripper. Ruby definitely homosexual. Known as a "Queen" - aggressive in sexual activities. Also known as an "Auntie" - he recruited young teenage boys. Ruby resented women because he wanted to be a woman himself. pdf 288. Interview with David Johnston, Justice of the Peace. Saw Ruby at midnight press conference. Had info from a confidential source, whom he declined to identify, that Ruby had cosigned on loans for some Dallas Police officers. Curry had Revill check. Revill didn't find any such loans. pdf 289. Check of various people whose names were found on slips of paper in Ruby's possession. pdf 290. Name, Thomas Hill found in Ruby's possession. Hill was the Director of Field Activities, John Birch Society. Said he was employed from July, 1959 to Huly, 1960 in Dallas by the JBS. Hill's name appeared on the "Impeach Earl Warren" billboards as a person to contact for more information. pdfs 290 - 293. More names in Ruby's notebook. pdf 294. "Steve Landgregan and Bob Strubee, Parkland Hospital Officials, with regard to an alerting of Parkland Hospital for anything that might possibly happen to Oswald. These men have no knowledge that anything was going to happen, but they were concerned about the size of the crowd at the police station." Various people who knew Ruby in Chicago. Det. Edward Carlson of the Dallas Police ID Bureau appears to be very friendly to Ruby and knows him well. Lenny Patrick of Chicago knows Ruby over a period of years and denies any hoodlum connections. pdf 295. "Jack Wilner, crime reporter for a Chicago Daily News reports that his "syndicate sources" reflect that Ruby as being connected to Nick St. John, Paul Labriola, Marcus Lipsky and Paul Roland Jones in efforts to take over gambling in Texas. Allegedly involved were Steve Guthrie, Sheriff of the County and one George Butler. In this connection with the above, one George Butler, Dallas Police Department was known to have been an investigator for the late Senator Kefaufer." Investigations failed to verify Wilners statements. pdf 296. Embassy in Mexico said Ruby had not made an entry or an application for entry into Mexico between September 25 and October 3, 1963. John Henry (LNU) met Ruby on the street around 9 or 10:00 PM on 11/23. Ruby appeared calm. "He said he did not see or hear of Ruby being in the Empire Dance Hall or any other Negro nightclub passing out $5.00 on November 23 or on any other occasion." Badly smeared interview with a Lee Metker who had a fist fight with Ruby in the Eatwell Cafe in 1951. pdf 297. Mr. E. Mace Naylor, 3909 Inwood, Tanglewood Apt. No. 5, Dallas, Texas, Telephone FL 7-6835, furnished the following: "Naylor received information from Jean Nelson, Tanglewood Apts., possibly Apt 212, that a party was held at Apt. 104, Tanglewood Apts. on Wednesday night, November 20, 1963. The following persons were reportedly in attendance at this party: Frank T. Tortoriello, a boyfriend of Jada, Jack Ruby, Joe F. Frederici, who is a nephew of Vito Genevese, Sandy, who is Frederici's wife, Mrs. Ann Bryant, who resides in Apt. 106, Tanglewood Apts., and Jada. It is Naylor's understanding that Joe F. Frederici, and his wife Sandy, left Dallas Thursday, November 21, 1963, for New Jersey or some place in the East." pdf 298. Interview with Mrs. Betty Jean Sims. Went to work for Ruby at the Silver Spur when she was 14. She pretended to be 18. Worked one night. She quit when Ruby tried to rape her in the kitchen. pdf 299. Interview with Frank T. Tortorelleo. (SEE pdf 297). Tortorelleo, owner of J.C. Adams Construction Co. Knew Ruby for 5 or 6 years. Met Jada. She stayed overnight with him sometimes. Said Ruby had never attended a party at his apartment and that on November 20, 1963, neither Jada, Ruby or Joe Frederici had been in attendance at his party. pdf 2100. John R. Shaw, Jr. sent a telegram to Ruby after Ruby shot Oswald. Shaw was a former Dallas policeman in 1946 and 47. His partner was Rio Sam Pierce. He and Pierce saw Ruby frequently at the Silver Spur. p. 3. page out of sequence. Interview with a (FNU) Brady. Brady and Ed (LNU), a bartender at the Silver Spur, went together in 1951 and bought Ruby a .38 Colt snub-nosed. Brady left Ruby's employ in 1952. "Brady added that he heard from an unrecalled source in recent months that one could go to Ruby's Vegas Club in Dallas and get any kind of narcotics he wanted." Steve Thomas
  14. On June 2, 1964 Nancy Perrin Rich testified to the Warren Commission. She told them about three meetings at which gun running to Cuba was discussed. Jack Ruby was at one of those meetings. In describing the third meeting, she had this to say: Mrs. RICH. Again, unless I am awfully mistaken, and I have yet to be able to find a picture of this man, but I recall seeing a picture and I know why I had associated him--of his father. Mr. HUBERT. Whose father? Mrs. RICH. This particular man. Now, again, what I am about to say is not fact. It is something that I have never quite been able to get clear in my mind and never will, until I can find a picture. Unless I am very mistaken, the man at that third meeting was Vito Genovese's son. Mr. HUBERT. Did you know Vito Genovese? Mrs. RICH. No; I never did. Mr. HUBERT. But you knew his picture. Mrs. RICH. I had seen his picture. Mr. HUBERT. You thought there was a resemblance between that picture and this man? Mrs. RICH. Yes. For a week this bothered me. And all of a sudden it came crystal clear. She did not say that Ruby was at this third meeting. In the documents recently released by the Dallas DA, there is this report of an interview in Group 43, pdf 297: Mr. E. Mace Naylor, 3909 Inwood, Tanglewood Apt. No. 5, Dallas, Texas, Telephone FL 7-6835, furnished the following: Naylor received information from Jean Nelson, Tanglewood Apts., possibly Apt 212, that a party was held at Apt. 104, Tanglewood Apts. on Wednesday night, November 20, 1963.   15. I stand corrected. "Aynesworth actually appears on page 2 of pdf 271, not 272. He doesn’t say that he, Aynesworth, saw Ruby around noon; he very specifically says that “other employees” saw Ruby at the News building around that time. " Steve Thomas
  16. Group 42 pdf 270. Summary of interviews with people who knew Ruby (neighbors) Sherwin Brown and J. Bishov say they saw Ruby in Havana over the Labor Day weekend in 1959. pdf 271. No record for a passport issued to Ruby. Curt Hanslecher, waiter at the Cabana says he saw Ruby in the Cabana at about midnight on 11/21/63. pdf 272. Hugh Aynsworth, reporter for the Dallas News says Ruby was at the newspaper at about noon on 11/22, but was missing for about 20 - 25 minutes. Re-appeared at the newspaper after JFK was killed. pdf 273. Robert Kermit Patterson says he believes Ruby and Oswald were together at his place of business on 11/12. Donald Stuart and Charles Arndt, who were also there cannot state definitely that it was Oswald they saw. Ruth Paine, Earlene Roberts and Mrs. A.C. Johnson say they never saw Ruby and LHO never mentioned him. When Ruby was arrested, he had $2,015.33 in his pocket. pdfs 275 - 276. Interview with Sam Ruby. pdf 277. According to Sam, Ruby once had to seek the advice of an attorney. While he was in the lawyer's office, Ruby threatened to jump out the window. pdfs 278 - 280. George Butler phoned in to DPD Headquarters and reported that Ruby and Oswald had gotten a Mexican visa at the same time. On December 9, 1963 Lt. Jack Revill and Detective H.M. Hart filed a report with Chief Curry writing that Lt. George Butler had informed them that he (Butler) had information that Jack Ruby had applied for a visa to visit Mexico at the same time Oswald traveled there. Butler suggested to Revill that Revill should contact the Mexican Consulate. They also said that Butler told them that he had information that Oswald was Ruby’s illegitimate son.
