Legal bills mount for Georgia Republican Party in Trump investigation Atlanta Journal Constitution https://www.ajc.com/politics/legal-bills-mount-for-georgia-republican-party-in-trump-investigation/M7RBNR4TGRHODJAEI2ZRPWFV5Q/ "The Georgia Republican Party spent more than $500,000 in the first half of this year representing “alternate” electors under investigation by local authorities in connection with Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The party has spent more than $520,000 in legal fees in the first six months of this year, which is around 75 percent more than it spent all of 2022 and a five-fold increase over the previous year, according to the report, which cites newly filed campaign disclosures." 2. Alex Jones: Dems will use 'meteorite' or 'truck bomb' after indictment to blame unrest on Trump supporters by David Edwards July 18, 2023, 2:49 PM ET https://www.rawstory.com/trump-indictment-2662297618/ “Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones believes there is a "95% chance" that Democrats will distract from Donald Trump's next expected indictment with a meteorite, truck bomb, or other "false flag" disaster.” “"They've got to have some plan," Jones said. "I think it's false flag terror. I think they blow up buildings after they indict Trump and say a Trump supporter blows up federal buildings or something like that, schools, you name it, for Trump."” So, if any of you are planning on going out and getting a meteorite, don't even think about it. Alex Jones has your number. Steve Thomas
  3. https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-loses-it-over-letter-saying-hes-a-target-of-jack-smiths-probe-of-jan-6-probe?ref=home Department of Justice Special Counsel Jack Smith’s prosecutors on Sunday alerted Trump’s lawyers that the former president is the target of the second phase of his criminal investigation, Trump announced. In a Tuesday morning post on his Truth Social network, Trump revealed what he called “HORRIFYING NEWS for our Country.” He said the DOJ’s special prosecutor had “effectively issued a third indictment and arrest,” calling Smith “deranged.” “I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation,” he declared, noting that the Justice Department has given him “a very short 4 days to report to the Grand Jury.” If Trump got the letter on Sunday, and the four days holds true. we can probably expect and indictment to come down Thursday or Friday. Such a letter “almost always means an arrest and indictment,” Trump, who has already been criminally indicted twice in recent months, wrote on Truth Social." Finally. Steve Thomas
  5. Death toll in Kenya starvation cult case passes 400 by Agence France-Presse July 17, 2023 https://www.rawstory.com/toll-in-kenya-starvation-cult-case-passes-400/ “The death toll in an investigation linked to a Kenyan cult that practised starvation to "meet Jesus Christ" has exceeded 400 after 12 more bodies were found on Monday, a senior official said. "Total death Toll - 403," Coast Regional Commissioner Rhoda Onyancha told AFP in a message, following the latest round of exhumations in the Shakahola forest, where cult leader Paul Nthenge Mackenzie allegedly urged followers to starve to death.” Following the discovery of the mass graves near the Indian Ocean town of Malindi, Mackenzie, his wife and 16 other defendants were taken into custody. The 16 men are accused of operating an armed "enforcer gang" tasked with ensuring that no one broke their fast or left their forest hideout alive. Kindiki, who was speaking before a senate committee probing the saga, also laid blame on the judiciary for their handling of earlier cases involving Mackenzie, saying that prosecutors should have ensured he remained in jail. "The Shakahola massacre is the worst breach of security in the history of our country," he said, vowing to "relentlessly push for legal reforms to tame rogue preachers."" God spare us from rogue preachers. We've seen enough of them to last a lifetime. Steve Thomas
  6. David Yes. I think I joined the Forun in 2004, shortly after it started. It's been almost 20 years now. Older, but not necessarily smarter. 😃 Steve
  7. David, I wouldn't attach too much importance to the reason for holding the men. I think it was the practice of the 1963's DPD era to slap any old charge on the booking sheet: Vagrancy, Burglary, Robbery, Suspicion of Murder... anything to justify picking a suspect up and holding him for a while. Look at the arrest report for Daniel Wayne Douglas. https://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth190290/?q="Daniel Wayne Douglas" Burglary, Auto Theft, Forgery, and Lt. Baker of Homicide and Robbery wanted him held for Investigation of Murder. Steve Thomas
  8. I don't know guys. It seems like there's something wrong in all of this. Look at the date of this supposed interview of Marie Tippit. Isn't November 29, 1963 the date the Warren Commissi9n was established? The hadn't had time to even hire staff yet. Steve Thomas
  9. David, Back in 2010, there was a Thread on the Forum called, The Three Tramps. https://educationforum.ipbhost.com/topic/16268-the-three-tramps/page/2/ On page 2 of that thread, I asked a series of questions like, Where were you when you found out Kennedy had been assassinated? and What kind of railroad car were you in when you got arrested? I looked the answers and saw how different they were. Steve Thomas
  10. David, One thing we have to is sort out the conflicting reports of the DPD personnel. 1992 FBI interview of Marvin L. Wise. FBI 124-10273-10440 Page 2 https://www.oocities.org/capitolhill/senate/5439/Susp_124-10273-10440.html Steve Thomas
  11. David, You're right. You have to be careful what you post on the Internet. It never dies. Gedney said that Noble was with them in Cell Block A. Paaul's name does appear does appear again on the 22nd, handling a call made by Leroy Eunis from Cell Block E. I think these were only outgoing calls, because of the middle column that says Contact Yes/No. I think that means did the prisoner make contact with the person he was trying to reach. If so, does that mean that Oswald made contact with the person he was calling, and is this in reference to the Hurt call, or something else? It's a shame the times are not indicated. Steve Thomas
  12. I try not to quote articles in full, but, if you want to talk about Christianity, this is what it’s supposed to mean… I hope, if it ever comes down to it, I have that kind of courage. Mountain biker dies after helping hikers who had no water, food in scorching heat The San Diego Tribune https://nordot.app/1053482293680964047?c=592622757532812385 A mountain biker died Saturday in the heat of the San Diego County desert after he and three other riders spent hours helping four hikers who had no food or water, a Cal Fire captain said Sunday. Authorities did not release the name, age or other details about the person who died, and it was unclear if the four hikers who required rescue were recreating or had crossed the nearby border. The ordeal began around 2:45 p.m. Saturday when the mountain bikers called for help after encountering the hikers in the Carrizo Gorge area near DeAnza Springs, according to Cal Fire Capt. Brent Pascua, who said it was 106 degrees when firefighters arrived in the area. Two of the mountain bikers stayed with the hikers, while the other two rode about five miles to the trailhead to rendezvous with emergency personnel and provide the other group's coordinates, Pascua said. A Cal Fire helicopter crew hoisted the four hikers to safety, Pascua said. Medical personnel checked all four of them and treated them at the scene, but none required hospitalization. After the helicopter rescue, the two mountain bikers who'd stayed with the hikers began riding back to the trailhead, but they became separated along the way, Pascua said. Only one of them made it back. When the other bikers set out to search for the missing man, they found him unconscious about a quarter-mile away, Pascua said. They carried him up the trail and placed him in an air-conditioned pickup until an ambulance arrived. But paramedics and firefighters were unable to revive the stricken rider, and he died at the scene at 5:45 p.m., Pascua said. No information was available Sunday about his cause of death. Pascua said the incident was a reminder for anyone recreating during the summer heat to bring "plenty of water" while doing so. "Try to plan activities earlier in the day when the temperatures are cooler," Cal Fire San Diego wrote in a Facebook post Saturday. "Also, hike in a group and let friends and family know where you'll be and what time you expect to finish." Steve Thomas
  13. Trump Roasted For Making Up A Law 'Out Of Thin Air' About Classified Documents "This was a law that was passed and signed," the former president said of the nonexistent legislation. By Josephine Harvey Jul 17, 2023 https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-classified-documents-absolute-right_n_64b4f477e4b0ad7b75f3d42e “While railing against last month’s federal Espionage Act indictment over his handling of classified documents taken from the White House to his Mar-a-Lago estate, Trump claimed: “Whatever documents a president decides to take with him, he has the absolute and unquestioned right to do so.” “This was a law that was passed and signed,” he insisted. “And it couldn’t be more clear.” Legal experts did not agree. Laurence Tribe, a legal scholar and Harvard University professor emeritus, said “no such law exists.”” Yeah, I think I'll just take me some of them nuclear codes there. Steve Thomas
  14. So, are you a fan of Pinky Doll? The woman in the video, who goes by the screen name Pinky Doll, is an NPC streamer, a real person who makes money imitating a video game character imitating a real person. (The acronym NPC stands for “non-playable character”—the background actors in video games not controlled by the players themselves.) https://www.intheknow.com/post/pinkydoll-tiktok-live/ "Some of Pinkydoll’s behavior is in response to livestream viewers sending her virtual gifts, which can eventually be redeemed for money. In exchange, Pinkydoll will either act out something relevant to the emoji associated with the money — ice cream, for example — or give the user a shout-out during the livestream. The creator, who goes by Pinkydoll on her various platforms, has over 241,000 TikTok followers and 18,000 Instagram followers. In another clip from the same TikTok LIVE, Pinkydoll pretends to lick an invisible ice cream cone and repeats “yes, yes, yes, ice cream so good.” So she's basically just acting out her gifts and popping popcorn on a flat iron. 15. Several years ago, I was struggling to determine what Lt. Colonel, George Whitmeyer's official title was. I thought it was important to know for two reasons that I will explain later. Various people have identified him as: http://spartacus-educational.com/MDcrichton.htm Lieutenant Colonel George Whitmeyer, who was in overall command of all Army Reserve units in East Texas. Dallas Morning News 11-16-1965 Lt. Col. George L. Whitmeyer, deputy East Texas sector commander "Russ Baker's new book, Family of Secrets, Lieutenant Colonel George Whitmeyer, who was in overall command of all Army Reserve units in East Texas." JFKcountercoup http://jfkcountercoup.blogspot.com/2011/01/pilot-car.html Col. Whitmeyer was the Commanding Officer of the Northern District of Texas and gave the military "stand down" order. Whitmeyer is referred to in combined Batchelor, Lumpkin, and Stevenson, report to Curry as, “ Lt. Colonel George Whitmeyer, U.S. Army, Dallas Sub-section Commander.” DPD Archives Box 14, Folder# 14, Item# 10 p. 20. http://jfk.ci.dallas.tx.us/box14.htm On April 22, 1964 Police Chief, Jesse Curry told the Warren Commission, “I had Deputy Chief Lumpkin, and he had two Secret Service men with him, I believe, out of Washington, and a Colonel Wiedemeyer who is the East Texas Section Commander of the Army Reserve in the area, he was with him. Testimony of Jesse Curry. Warren Commission Hearings and Exhibits, volume IV, p. 170, as cited in the History Matters Archive, http://history-matte..._Vol4_0089b.htm In an article in the Abilene Reporter News, November 17, 1965 https://newspaperarchive.com/abilene-reporter-news-nov-17-1965-p-61/ it reads: “Accompanying Colonel Offer to Abilene were Colonel John F. Marshall, East Texas Sector Commander for VIII Corps and Lt. Col. Al Hagler, both of Dallas.” “Col. Offer and Col Marshall are Regular Army Officers, while Col. Hagler is a Reservist.” Reading that article, it appears that Col. Marshall would have been Whitmeyer’s boss. Dallas Morning News 11-16-1965 Lt. Col. George L. Whitmeyer, deputy East Texas sector commander (both newspaper articles are from the same week in November, 1965. One refers to Marshall as the Commander, and the other refers to Whitmeyer as the Deputy Commander of the VIII Corps East Texas Sector). On further research, I have learned the following: Thus, the VIII Corps was not part of the Active or Regular Army, but was part of the Reserves. Texas Almanac 1961-1962 Page 356-357 https://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth117140/m1/359/ I believe that the two newspaper articles cited above, and the combined Batchelor, Lumpkin report to Chief Curry identify Lt. Colonel, Whitmeyer correctly. Colonel John F. Marshall, was the, East Texas Sector Commander for VIII Corps and, Lt. Colonel, George L. Whitmeyer, was the Deputy East Texas sector commander. I have felt that it is important to identify Whitmeyer's official title for two reasons: 1) If people get a person's position or title wrong, that probably means they don't really understand the person they are talking about, and more than likely, have other aspects about the person's life wrong as well. 2) Knowing a person's official position helps to understand lines of communication and networks of information and how information is flowing. Who is reporting to who? and Where might be records found? Hence, George L. Whitmeyer was not in "overall command" of all Reserve units in East Texas, and also did not report to Jack Crichton. In addition, the 4150th Army Reserve Training Center, of which George Lumpkin was the Commandant, was probably one of the training centers established as outlined in the Texas Almanac article cited above. 16. Joseph, I only offer this as a supplement to what you have written: Creating the Oswald Legend – Part 5 Written by Vasilios Vazakas in Kenndys and King https://www.kennedysandking.com/john-f-kennedy-articles/creating-the-oswald-legend-part-5 CIA POLICE TRAINING and THE CIS “Coming back to Captain Westbrook, a most astonishing revelation was that after he retired from the Dallas Police Department in 1966, Westbrook became a Police advisor in South Vietnam. As researcher Greg Parker found out, Westbrook was employed as a security advisor in Saigon by the U.S.A.I.D. (United States Agency for International Development).[16] The CIA was running a police program. Its purpose was to train friendly overseas police and to allow CIA to “plant men with local police in sensitive places around the world.” Also, to bring to the United States “prime candidates for enrollment as CIA employees.”[17] John Gilligan, director of USAID under Jimmy Carter, said that “At one time, many USAID field offices were infiltrated from top to bottom with CIA people. The idea was to plant operatives in every kind of activity we had overseas, government, volunteer, religious, every kind.”[19] John Hannah, Nixon’s director of USAID admitted publicly that the USAID had funded CIA operations in Laos and that both organizations had co-operated in Ecuador, Uruguay, Thailand, and the Philippines.[20] “ Steve Thomas
  17. David, 2 sets of tramps, or were they arrested twice? From Page 1 of this thread: From Denis Morissette's site: http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/Senat.../Documents.html William Earl Chambers was interviewed on 3/3/92 by SA Gary Gerszewski of the FBI and Lieutenant Kenneth Lybrand, City of Dallas Police Department. “their stories as to where they came from and where they were headed differed from individual to individual. “When questioned regarding the circumstances of their arrest, the three individuals indicated that they were on a freight car sleeping when they were wakened by officers with different colored uniforms than the ones worn by the officers who drove them down to the station. Question: Sleeping? what time was this? They got out of the Salvation Army and on the way to the freight yards heard that the President had been shot. It couldn’t have been more than an hour lapsed maybe. Different colored uniforms? Driven down to the station? It looks like the Dallas Police emptied out the jail and released anyone connected to the JFK case on the morning of the 26th. John Elrod, the three tramps, and Daniel Wayne Douglas were all released at 9:00 AM on the morning of November 26th. The release papers were signed by "Beck". I believe this to be E.R. Beck, a Detective in the Homicide and Robbery Bureau Steve Thomas
  18. Chuck, Thank you. In that last post from four years ago, I suggested to Paul Brancato that he take note of the Army providing "Advisors" to the Army Reserve program. At the time, I was wondering who these "Inspector Advisors" were that I kept running across.I n particular, I was wondering if (at the time, Major) George Whitmeyer, in his role as an "Advisor" to the Reserves in Monroe, LA., might have run across Lee Harvey Oswald in the Civil Air Patrol program in Louisiana. George Whitmeyer, who rode in the Pilot Car of JFK's motorcade, and who, Winston Lawson said, "taught Army Intelligence"; quite possibly out of the Army Reserve training school where George Lumpkin was the Commandant. 19. David, I like the first sentence in the last document you provided: "By the time Wise and his three prisoners reached Sheriff Decker's office for the second time..." and I went, "Wait, what?" They had these bouncing around all over the place. Steve Thomas
  20. Rd, I honestly don't know. I've never run across any, but that's not to say there might not have been any. I would think the real 488th would be a little pissed know that there was somebody running around doing stuff in their name. Steve Thomas
  21. The shells were found at 1'00 PM. The rifle was found at 1:22 PM. The shells had already been bagged and tagged and entered into evidence by the time the rifle had been found. I'll always believe in my hearts, with absolutely no evidence whatsoever to back it up, that somebody screwed up and planted the wrong knd of shells. You can't really have a 7.65 rifle with 6.5mm shells. Steve Thomas
  22. Ed, I will just reply to your post, rather than try to quote it, since it is so long. First, thanks for posting the pictures of Jack Crichton. I don't have a copy of his 1964 book, and don't have any pictures of him later in life. Secondly, yes, there was a real and legitimate 488th Military Intelligence Detatchment. if you read the following study by Thomas Cagley,' In his 1991 study, entitled, Reforming Military Intelligence Reserve Components: 1995-2005, Colonel, Thomas Cagley showed that half of the Military Intelligence Detatcments (MID's) reported directly to the DIA. See Table II2, page 14 of his study. The 488th was one of the MID's which reported to the DIA (the Defense Intelligence Agency).. https://apps.dtic.mil/dtic/tr/fulltext/u2/a233391.pdf Traditionally, MID's consisted of 9 men and were headed by a Colonel. Their analysis were strategic in nature, and often the members were multi-lingual. Since they did not have any support staff (like secretaries), they were attached to a larger unit for the purposes of drawing supplies and pay. I was in contact with Colonel Cagley, and he told me that an MID consisting of 100 men was more like a social club, like the VFW or American Legion than a real Military Intelligence Detatchment. Thirdly, the idea of someone up and starting his own Uinit of the United States Army, Reserve or not, is absurd on its face. That hasn't been done since the Civil War, and I'm sure the Command structure in Washington would not look too kindly on it. Steve Thomas
  23. Trump asks top Georgia court to disqualify election probe prosecutor and toss grand jury report By KATE BRUMBACK July 14, 2023 https://apnews.com/article/trump-georgia-election-investigation-2020-willis-d625354d03e871306c44ff386f1ff88e ATLANTA (AP) — Lawyers for former President Donald Trump are asking Georgia’s highest court to prevent the district attorney who has been investigating his actions in the wake of the 2020 election from prosecuting him and to throw out a special grand jury report that is part of the inquiry. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been investigating since early 2021 whether Trump and his allies broke any laws as they tried to overturn his narrow election loss in Georgia to Democrat Joe Biden. She has suggested that she is likely to seek charges in the case from a grand jury next month. Trump’s Georgia legal team on Friday filed similar petitions in the Georgia Supreme Court and Fulton County Superior Court naming Willis and Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney, who oversaw the special grand jury, as respondents. A spokesperson for Willis declined to comment. McBurney did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment. “Even in an extraordinarily novel case of national significance, one would expect matters to take their normal procedural course within a reasonable time,” the filings say. “But nothing about these processes have been normal or reasonable. And the all-but-unavoidable conclusion is that the anomalies below are because Petitioner is President Donald J. Trump.” The petitions seek to bar Willis and her office from continuing to prosecute the case. It also asks that the report produced by the special grand jury that had been seated in the case be tossed out and that prosecutors be prevented from presenting any evidence from the panel’s investigation to a regular grand jury. Good work if you can get it. (Should we tell his lawyers that Trump isn't President?) Steve Thomas
  24. Chuck, Thanks for passing that along. I read the article you referenced. I have number of issues with it that I won't go into, unless you want me to, but I will say that whoever wrote it was unaware of the 4150th Army Reserve Training School in Dallas and Charles Lumpkin's role in it.
