  1. Texas Lt. governor brags just-passed Senate bill is bringing ‘prayer back to our public schools’

by David Badash, The New Civil Rights Movement April 21, 2023

    https://www.rawstory.com/texas-lt-governor-brags-just-passed-senate-bill-is-bringing-prayer-back-to-our-public-schools/

Texas far-right Republican Lt. Governor Dan Patrick is lauding two just-passed state Senate bills which mandate the Ten Commandments be prominently displayed in every public school classroom and that public schools be allowed to create times specifically devoted so people can pray or read the Bible or other religious works.”

“State Senator Phil King (R) "said during a committee hearing earlier this month that the Ten Commandments are part of American heritage and it’s time to bring them back into the classroom.”

    Wait. What?

    Where’s Mt. Sinai again?

  2. Michigan Republicans Fight Lifting Ban on Unmarried Couples Living Together
    BY KATHERINE FUNG ON 4/20/23
    https://www.newsweek.com/michigan-republicans-fight-lifting-ban-unmarried-couples-living-together-1795650

Michigan's state Senate passed a bill to end a decades-long ban on unmarried couples living together.
Half of Senate Republicans voted against repealing the law.

The law was passed in 1931 and criminalizes cohabitation of unmarried men and women. Michigan is one of two states that have such a ban.(the other is Mississippi).

On Wednesday, all Senate Democrats and half of Republicans voted to pass Senate Bill 56, which aims to repeal state law that criminalizes cohabitation of unmarried men and women. Nine Republicans voted against the measure. The bill will now go to the state House, where Democrats hold a slim majority, for consideration.
While state Democrats have called the ban outdated, some Republicans believe that keeping it would encourage marriage. State Senator Ed McBroom said the reasons that the policy has remained after all these years are "clearly not obsolete" and that the ban promotes "good morals."

When did it become the Government's job to legislate "good morals"?

  3. I read something depressing the other day.

DirecTV and Dish Network pay content providers like Fox News to be in their lineup. They're called "carriage fees' and, as a consumer, you pay for those fees whether you watch the channel or not.

This $787 million will be paid by the insurance companies, who will charge Fox higher rates. Fox will pass those increases on to the cable TV providers, who will pass those costs on to the consumers in the way of higher rates.

You and I will end up paying for Fox to lie to us.

    It doesn't seem right.

  4. The Georgia fake elector scheme is getting hilarious.

The fake electors are ratting each other out, accusing each other of committing crimes.

One lawyer is representing all 10 of them as they turn witness on each other.

The prosecutors offered immunity deals that the lawyer never told her clients about.

"Members of the "first French Algerian maquis" will appear before the military tribunal on Monday."
"Three hearings are scheduled for the affair of the "first maquis in French Algeria", which had been installed on February 14 at the "farm Marcel" in Ouled-Chefaa, in the canton of Bouguirat, by Captain René Souètre, of the Air Force.".
After a three-month hiatus, the military tribunal specially created to judge acts of attacks on state security in relation to the events in Algeria resumed its activity on Monday, December 18, under the chairmanship of Mr. Leyris, with a slightly modified composition.
The other defendants, on the run, must be tried in absentia: Staff Sergeant Pierre Esquer, André de Brousse de Montpeyroux, Jean-Loup Blanchy, Aimé Blanc, Alain Loncle de Forville, Hyeck Slebioda, Yvon Agnor, Jean Clavel, Alain Di Crescenzo, Josué Giner, Paul Mancilla, René Monjo, Joseph Rizza and Antoine Terol."

    David,

You might want to read up on "Operation Chamois", which happened in May of 1962 I think.

The deltas-collines site shows him being released from Fresnes in 1965. I can't make out the month.

    http://deltas-collines.org/galerie/QQQQQQQQQQQQQQ/D_tenus_SPES_33

Some other stuff I ran across:

    https://paras.forumsactifs.net/t13258-oas-objectif-de-gaulle-operation-chamois
"Henri SLEBIODA (legionnaire of the 1st REP, Delta IV, alias Slim, housed in the suburbs with relatives, after the arrest of the Delta commando, will take refuge with his family and flee to Spain, arrested with Jean Claude Perez, will be expelled on March 14, 1963 from Madrid, arrived on March 19, 1963 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will be expelled to Paraguay, On July 2, 1963 returned to Brazil, and on October 16, 1964 in a bar in Campo Grande, Rio de Janeiro, a Brazilian soldier shot in the back, paralyzed, back in France at Orly on December 17, 1964 at 10:00 p.m., was taken by ambulance to Fresnes prison, and died on January 21, 1985 in Paris."

    Post by Rifle1   11/02/22
"Henri Slebodia is likely to be a much more important and darker figure than he seems, if the accusations of investigative journalist William Reymond (in his book "JFK, Autopsy of a State Crime, 1998 ) are verified. In this book, Slebodia is indeed suspected of having participated in the assassination of President Kennedy. The spelling of his name varies by research (Slebodja, Slebodia, or even Slebioda). Can someone he tell me which one would be good?"

"Finally, there is also the case of Henri “Slim” Slebiodja, a member of the group that killed Commander Post, but about whom we have very little information(22).
[22. According to the testimony of Paul Mancilla, Slebiodja was killed in Argentina; see Harrison A., Challenging De Gaulle. The OAS and the Counterrevolution in Algeria, 1954-1962, New York, Praeger, 1989, p. 175."

"Which contradicts the fact that he would have died on January 1985 in Paris...
In his book, William Reymond explains simply on page 468: "'Max' disappeared at the beginning of 1964, four months after the operation on Dealey Plaza. After his hideout in Canada, he wanted to go to Spain to mount an attack against de Gaulle. Some rumors claim that he was killed by a bullet in the head, others that he took refuge for a long time in Argentina where a community of the OAS had settled ?"

  7. Recording reveals Oklahoma county officials talked about hiring hitmen to kill local reporters

by Brad Reed April 17, 2023

"McCurtain County, Oklahoma is in shock this week after a secretly recorded conversation revealed that a local sheriff and a several McCurtain County commissioners discussed hiring hitmen to murder local newspaper reporters."

Well, there's no point in messing around with all this political correctness, is there?

  8. It's End Times!' Mike Lindell goes berserk fearing artificial intelligence in voting machines

by David Edwards April 17, 2023

    https://www.rawstory.com/mike-lindell-artificial-intelligence-2659867397/

“MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell warned that the world could face biblical "End Times" if artificial intelligence is allowed in voting systems.

During an appearance on the War Room podcast, host Steve Bannon asked Lindell about the future of artificial intelligence in voting.

"The artificial intelligence changes everything," Bannon opined. "You can't have anything related to a machine have anything to do whatsoever with a vote. It's got to be a paper freaking ballot."

Lindell insisted people were "coming around" to agree with his opposition to voting machines.

"I've been saying that for almost two years now or over two years, and with the artificial intelligence, you won't even be able to catch them," he asserted. "They'll know what you're gonna vote for before you even think it."”

So, don’t you even think about voting. The artificial intelligence is going to know it...

RO: We're dealing with probabilities here, Steve, as we must.  When I said Louis' story was probably a work of fiction, this is what I meant.

Upon reflection, maybe one reason the French had refused to let Fensterwald see their file on Souetre 20 years later was because they had realized they had been played by Louis.

    Roger,

When in doubt, I try to follow the advice of Leroy Jethro Gibbs on NCIS:

"What does your gut tell you?"

As far as the French authorities; it might be a case of protecting sources and methods, plus a case of bureaucratic intransigence. I once wrote to the French National Archives asking for a list of the people who had stood trial with Jean-Rene Souetre in December, 1961.

My request was refused on the grounds of National Security.

    Figure that one out.

  10. - Donald Trump -

"FOX NEWS IS IN BIG TROUBLE IF THEY DO NOT EXPOSE THE TRUTH ON CHEATING IN THE 2020 ELECTION," "THEY SHOULD DO WHAT’S RIGHT FOR AMERICA. WHEN RUPERT MURDOCH SAYS THAT THERE WAS NO CHEATING IN LIGHT OF THE MASSIVE PROOF THAT WAS THERE, IT IS RIDICULOUS AND VERY HARMFUL TO THE FOX CASE. PERHAPS HE SHOULD SAY THAT 'HE JUST DIDN’T KNOW,' BUT THAT IS HARD TO BELIEVE. RUPERT, JUST TELL THE TRUTH AND GOOD THINGS WILL HAPPEN."

"THE ELECTION OF 2020 WAS RIGGED AND STOLLEN (sic)... YOU KNOW IT, & SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE!"

When in doubt, lie some more.

Another possibility is that it was Mertz claiming to be Roux.

The following phone calls, is there any indication if were they local or long distance? This person was requesting a follow-up meeting.

To me, that suggests someone local. Who was residing in Montreal at the time? Michel Victor Mertz.

    Appendix A Document# 1

is an article in the Cote-Basque Soir of Bayonne by Louis Assemat-Tessandier, a sometime journalist of dual French-Mexican citizenship, having been born of French parents in Mexico.

He described the Frenchman [he met] as a "young officer from Algeria" who wandered back and forth between the three OAS centers in the Western Hemisphere, i.e., Montreal, Mexico City, and Rio.
The Frenchman, whose name Louis would not reveal in the article, was young, tall, sun-tanned, and handsome.

At the time of Louis Assemat-Tessandier’s article, Jean-Rene was 33 years old. (Would a 33 year-old person be described as “young”?

The Frenchman’s itinerary does not seem to match Souetre’s travels.

But the two stories, Louis' and Roux's, do not fit together. It's unlikely both could be true.  If both things had happened--an in-person meeting with Souetre saying he was Roux, followed by a bunch of calls from Souetre wanting another meeting, and one previous phone call from the real Roux, it's likely Louis would have known these were two different people.  Not naming his source in the article allowed Louis to obfuscate that problem for a while, but not after he named Roux as his source. This is one clue something was amiss.

  14. Florida teacher shows pro-Confederacy video that rebrands Civil War as 'War To Prevent Southern Independence'

by Brad Reed April 15, 2023⁵
    https://www.rawstory.com/confederate-history-month/

"Parents in Naples, Florida are calling foul after a teacher at their children's school showed their class a video that they are decrying as propaganda for the Confederacy.

Local news station NBC 2 reports that an unidentified teacher at the Manatee Middle School is under investigation for showing students a video that gushes about the "valiant, brave fight and the countless sacrifices by our men and women during that known as the Civil War."

What's more, the video rebrands the American Civil War as "the War To Prevent Southern Independence," which is a decidedly pro-Confederacy framing for a conflict that centered on Southern states' attempts to preserve the practice of slavery."

The description of Roux, as desribed to them by a man named Gachman,  comes from at least two FBI docs:

The FBI's Michel Roux was born on August 31, 1940 at Soyaux, Charaente, France.
In 1964, he was described as a white male, 25-27 years old, 5'8”, 148-150 pounds,

  17. "We have killed two thousand babies since abortion became legal. Those are two thousand people in the state of Nebraska that could be working and filling some of those positions that we have vacancies. They're not here. Our state population has not grown except by those foreigners who have moved here, or refugees who have been placed here," State Senator Steve Erdman (R-47th District) said. "Why is that? It's because we've killed two hundred thousand people. These are people we've killed."

And that's why we have to ban abortion. We've got to produce more white worker bees.
