  3. The men at the back door... A couple of questions... 1) Has anyone other than Chauncey Holt ever come forward to say that imposters were issued fake Secret Service credentials? Anyone in the mob milieu? 2) What would the mens' purpose have been? 2a) To prevent anyone from going in? If someone would have entered the back door and seen Oswald, so what? He worked there. That would actually have been bad for someone trying to set Oswald up. It would have given him an alibi. If an employee walked in and saw a stranger, the stranger would have been challenged. If an employee tried to walk in the back door and two strangers told him he couldn't, wouldn't the employee have asked why and remembered the encounter? 2b) To aid in the escape of someone already inside? How? The men on the outside apparently did not have a car waiting. Were they there to cover the escapee's face? Were they prepared to shoot their way out? 3) David Harkness. The guys told him they were Secret Service. That doesn't make any sense, and it shouldn't have made any sense to Harkness. How does having men at the back door of a warehouse protect the President in his motorcade? Why didn't Harkness challenge them? The Secret Service wore special lapel pins that day. Harkness makes no mention of that, nor did he ask to see any ID. That whole business is just very weird. Steve Thomas
  4. GOPers are ignoring Trump's demand they stop using his name to make money: report by Tom Boggioni March 08, 2021 https://www.rawstory.com/trump-gop-2650970889/ “The three official fundraising arms of the Republican Party are reportedly ignoring a threat from former President Donald Trump to stop using his name and likeness in fundraising appeals as they build up a war chest for the 2022 midterm election. On Saturday, attorneys for Trump delivered a cease and desist letter to the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the National Republican Senatorial Committee instructing them to drop Trump from their appeals. On Monday, Politico Playbook updated their report, saying Trump's threat appears to have been ignored and Trump is still prominently featured. "They don't seem to be taking the warnings seriously," Playbook reports. "The NRSC advertised a T-shirt for 'Trump Supporters ONLY!' with his face and the words 'Miss Me yet?' on Facebook. The landing page for the donation was still active as of Sunday night. As Alex Isenstadt noted, the RNC doesn't seem to be backing off, either. Trump was referenced in fundraising emails Saturday and Sunday even though the letter was delivered to the committee lawyers Friday."” What’s he going to do, sue them? That would be funny. 5. Joe Biden Owes Neanderthals an Apology By Charles P. Pierce Mar 3, 2021 https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/a35716213/joe-biden-neanderthals-texas-governor-greg-abbott-mask/ “They developed highly functional tools and, crucially, were not governors of Texas or Mississippi.” Neanderthal DNA highlights complexity of COVID risk factors by Yang Luo https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-02957-3 “For example, the COVID-19 risk haplotype described earlier this year1 harbours variants across its entire 50,000-nucleotide span that are inherited together more than 98% of the time. Long haplotypes such as this could be a result of positive selection, maintained in our genomes because they contributed to our species’ chances of survival and reproductive success. They could also be introduced as a result of interbreeding with archaic hominin species such as the Denisovans and Neanderthals. Some 1–4% of the modern human genome comes from these ancient relatives3.” “ 3. Green, R. E. et al. Science 328, 710–722 (2010).” Since it is not their fault, I’m thinking of starting a private law practice and psychotherapy counseling service, representing people who have suffered the emotional distress and pain and suffering they experienced by being labeled a Neanderthal. I’ll charge $500 an hour. What do you think? Steve Thomas
  6. House impeachment manager Eric Swalwell sues Trump and close allies over Capitol riot in second major insurrection lawsuit By Katelyn Polantz and Devan Cole, CNN Fri March 5, 2021 https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/05/politics/trump-lawsuit-insurrection-eric-swalwell/index.html “Former House impeachment manager Eric Swalwell has sued former President Donald Trump, his son Donald Trump Jr., Rudy Giuliani and Republican Rep. Mo Brooks in a second major lawsuit seeking to hold Trump and his allies accountable for inciting the insurrection at the US Capitol on January 6. The new lawsuit filed on Friday by Swalwell, a California Democrat who helped to lead impeachment arguments against Trump for inciting insurrection, follows a similar suit filed last month by Rep. Bennie Thompson against Trump, Giuliani and the extremist groups the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys. Swalwell's case makes some of the same claims as Thompson's -- citing a civil rights law meant to counter the Ku Klux Klan's intimidation of elected officials. But it also alleges Trump, Trump Jr., Giuliani and Brooks broke Washington, DC, laws, including an anti-terrorism act, by inciting the riot, and that they aided and abetted violent rioters and inflicted emotional distress on the members of Congress.” “ Trump directly incited the violence at the Capitol that followed and then watched approvingly as the building was overrun," the lawsuit said. "The horrific events of January 6 were a direct and foreseeable consequence of the Defendants' unlawful actions. As such, the Defendants are responsible for the injury and destruction that followed." 7. Voter Fraud and Forgery? Oh My. He voted yes. They tried to change his vote to no. Three Republicans accused of ethics violation after they attempted to alter colleague’s votes by Sarah K. Burris March 04, 2021 https://www.rawstory.com/3-republicans-accused-ethics-violation/ “At no point did Gooden use the red card option, but three other Republicans attempted to, signing Gooden's name to it.” “According to Bresnahn, "The cards were rejected by House clerks. A possible ethics violation by [Reps.]Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Randy Weber (R-TX) and Kelly Armstrong (R-ND)." Reporter Jamie Dupree went back to CSPAN to look at the tape seeing a man in a blue suit racing down the center aisle of Congress. "That person keeps running past the dais, but reaches out with his right hand and leaves a Red voting card for the clerk," said Dupree. "That person continues running past the dais - a very unusual way to vote...” Steve Thomas
  8. Trump Served With Civil Rights Lawsuit After Capitol Riot Attorneys for Rep. Bennie Thompson and the NAACP have served the former president at his Mar-a-Lago club with a lawsuit filed in February. By Adam Rawnsley and Asawin Suebsaeng Mar. 03, 2021 https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-served-with-rep-bennie-thompsons-civil-rights-lawsuit-after-capitol-riot?ref=home “Attorneys for Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and the NAACP have served former President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago club with a lawsuit filed against him in February. The suit names Trump alongside his attorney Rudy Giuliani and the right wing extremist groups, the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers, as co-defendants and builds off the 1871 “Ku Klux Klan Act,” which was “intended to protect against conspiracies, through violence and intimidation, that sought to prevent Members of Congress from discharging their official duties,” according to a complaint. Trump advisers did not immediately provide comment on who, if anyone, at this point is representing the former president for this lawsuit. When Trump was served, it was merely signed for by a “Ricky,” according to the court document.” Steve Thomas

  10. Militia alliance in Georgia signals new phase for extremist paramilitaries By Chris Joyner, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution February 4, 2021 https://www.ajc.com/news/militia-alliance-in-georgia-signals-new-phase-for-extremist-paramilitaries/UD2JMQV5A5EABHHAKBQZBK2IVY/ “The leader of a private paramilitary group that provided security for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said he has formed alliances with other far-right groups to advocate for Georgia’s secession from the union, following the arrests of participants in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. “The way patriots are now being hunted down and arrested by fellow men and women who have taken the same oath has disheartened any faith I had in the redemption or reformation of the USA as one entity,” Justin Thayer, head of the Georgia III% Martyrs, said in a text exchange with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution this week. Thayer said the Martyrs have allied themselves with fellow “Three Percenter” militia the American Brotherhood of Patriots and American Patriots USA (APUSA), a north Georgia group headed by Chester Doles, a Dahlonega resident who belonged to various racist and neo-poopoo hate groups before forming the new group in 2019. The combined groups will advocate for Georgia’s secession from the union through an amendment to the U.S. Constitution or through “the collapse of the American experiment,” Thayer said. “For the last 150 years, the Imperial Yankee culture of the northeast has been molding Georgia — and the South in general — into its ‘perfect’ image,” he said. In an AJC interview this week, Doles confirmed the groups were working together, but he would not say what they intended to do. “Things are different now. Everything has changed,” he said. “We’ve seen our last Republican president in American history. The ballot box — we tried as hard as we could try. It’s not working.” Researchers who study the far right say political unrest over the past year gave extremist groups opportunities to collaborate across ideological divides, forging alliances based on common grievances and enemies. The November presidential election and the proliferation of baseless conspiracy theories about its outcome only pushed groups closer together. “We saw members of traditional militias, white supremacists, QAnon and other people in the same spaces and claiming very similar enemies,” said Amy Iandiorio, an investigative researcher with the Anti-Defamation League’s Center on Extremism. This “shared victimhood narrative” around the outcome of the presidential election created the opportunity for “tactical” alliances among groups that normally wouldn’t mix, she said. The Martyrs raised eyebrows this fall when they appeared as private security for then-candidate Greene at a rally in Ringgold with former GOP Sen. Kelly Loeffler. Greene posed for multiple photos with the militia and said she needed them to protect herself from unspecified death threats she said she had received. On Jan. 6, Thayer joined throngs of pro-Trump supporters who rallied to hear the former president’s baseless claims of a “stolen” election and condemnation of “weak Republicans,” but he said he did not take part in storming the U.S. Capitol immediately after it. Doles has been working longer to build support for his political group, staging occasional public rallies and motorcycle convoys from his north Georgia base. He claims to have walked away from his career as a white supremacist activist with groups like the Ku Klux Klan and the National Alliance, while also maintaining ties to some figures in those movements. His attempts to insinuate America Patriots USA into mainstream conservative politics have met with limited success, however. Doles championed Greene’s candidacy on his website and on social media, often posting a photo of Greene posing with APUSA members taken during her Republican primary campaign. But when he tried to attend the Ringgold rally in September with members of his group, Greene had the Martyrs remove him. Thayer said he and Doles have patched things up since then. “We both have the same objective and work with other organizations,” he said in a text. “So it was in the best interest of the movement to become ally’s (sic) and work together.” Thayer said the alliance is working with other Georgia militias, but the AJC was unable to confirm those connections. Thayer said the alliance was forged out of an “IRA/Sinn Féin type scenario.” The comparison to the paramilitary Irish Republican Army and Sinn Fein, an Irish political party, is apt. Historically, Sinn Féin associated itself with the IRA during decades of violent conflict with the British government in Northern Ireland known as “The Troubles.” Similarly, Doles has sought to fashion his organization as a legitimate political group while using far-right paramilitary groups like the Brotherhood of American Patriots as “security.” Hampton Stall, a militia researcher with the non-profit Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project, said the Jan. 6 assault has focused more attention on the militia movement, including attention from law enforcement and the media. Some leaders in the movement are responding by reaching out to groups with even more extreme ideologies. “I think we are going to see a lot of this coalition building with some pretty nasty actors,” he said. The Martyrs’ connection to Greene, who spent years promoting the baseless QAnon conspiracy theory, illustrates the toxic blend of ideologies at work in the post-Jan. 6 extremist world. The alliance between the Martyrs and APUSA mixes a deeply anti-government ideology with a group rooted in white nationalism. Conspiracy theories, like those expressed by QAnon adherents, and groups with white nationalist ties provide “onramps” for militia sects to transition into more violent rhetoric, Stall said. QAnon conspiracies about underground pedophilia rings run by Democrats and celebrities already are common inside online militia chatrooms, he said. “Pretty much every Three Percent chat since 2018 has Q people in it,” he said. It’s a troubling development because of the the militia movement’s firepower, he said. “The QAnon people are trying to figure out how to take their struggle into the world,” he said. Since Jan. 6, the FBI has been appealing to the public to identify alleged rioters from photos posted on social media, while also defending itself against criticism that intelligence failures allowed the attempted insurrection. Kevin Rowson, spokesman for the Atlanta field office of the FBI, declined to comment on the announced alliance between the militias and APUSA saying the agency does not investigate people based on ideology. “Regardless of group membership, our investigations focus solely on criminal activity of individuals,” he said. “Our efforts are focused on identifying, investigating and disrupting individuals that are inciting violence and engaging in criminal activity.”” Steve Thomas
  11. Pro-Trump Republican secession rhetoric in Texas and elsewhere is more than a punchline By Casey Michel February 28, 2021 https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/pro-trump-republican-secession-rhetoric-texas-elsewhere-more-punchline-ncna1259016 “And it’s not just a tiny fringe that’s thinking about these concepts anymore. As the Bright Line Watch, a group of researchers from places like Dartmouth University, the University of Rochester, and University of Chicago, noted in a study released earlier in February, one-third of Republicans said they support secession. Disturbingly, half of Republicans across the former Confederacy (plus Kentucky and Oklahoma) are now willing to break off to form a newly independent country.” “Perhaps not surprisingly, Texas is leading this charge. As The Daily Beast reported, a Texas state lawmaker — one who attended the Capitol rally on Jan. 6 and claimed it was “the most amazing day” — recently filed the first serious secession bill the country has seen since the Civil War. The Texas Republican Party promptly endorsed the bill, which would give Texans the right to vote in a secession referendum later this year, with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott refusing to denounce the legislation.” Steve Thomas

  13. Ron, David Harkness wasn't the only one to report mystery or unknown Secret Service Agents in or around the TSBD at the time of the assassination. On November 23, 1963 he (Roger Craig) filed a Supplementary Investigation report with Dallas Sheriff, Bill Decker. In his report, he said that, “I tried to get across the street to stop the car and talk with subjects, but the traffic was so heavy, I could not make it. I reported this incident at once to a secret service officer whose name I do not know, then I left this area and went at once to the building and assisted in the search of the building.”20. Chief Curry met them (Richard Sims and Elmer Boyd) in front of the hospital and ordered Captain Fritz to go to the scene of the shooting. Sims and Boyd returned to downtown Dallas along with Captain Fritz and Sheriff Bill Decker. They arrived at the Texas School Book Depository at approximately 12:58PM and participated in the search of the TSBD. They report that the rifle was found at about 1:25PM and identify persons who were present when it was photographed. They knew enough of the federal agencies involved to make the distinction between the FBI, the Secret Service and officers of the ATF. They wrote, “Detective Studebaker and Lieutenant Day took pictures of the rifle. Mr. Pinkston of the F.B.I. and a Secret Service Agent were there at the time the pictures were being made. We don’t know the Secret Service agent’s name. Mr. Ellsworth and another officer from Alcohol Tax Department were also there.”23. 20. Officer Roger Craig. 15. Ron, http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/russ/testimony/romack.htm Mr. ROMACK. And I looked up and I felt kind of chilly looking down towards the which I am facing the Houston entrance, and I looked down toward where all the people were standing along, the motorcade was passing by, and just immediately after I heard the shots, I saw a policeman running north towards me. He was running to look to see if somebody was running out of the back of this building. Mr. BELIN. What building? Mr. ROMACK. Texas School Book Depository Building. And he didn't stay but just, oh, he was just there to check and he runs back. Well, sensing that something is wrong, I automatically take over watching the building for the man. Mr. BELIN. What part of the building were you watching? Mr. ROMACK. The back Mr. BELIN. Could you see that back dock in the back part? Mr. ROMACK. Well, I mean, they got it sealed off. I could see as much as anyone could see. Mr. BELIN. Did you see any employees walk up the back way? Mr. ROMACK. There was two other gentlemen which I never said anything. about, that taken over. They were FBI or something standing right here at the very entrance, and just stood there. Mr. BELIN. Did you ever contact the FBI? Mr. ROMACK. Yes, sir. Mr. BELIN. When did you do that? Mr. ROMACK. It was on a Saturday night after I got in from work. Mr. BELIN. What month was it? Mr. ROMACK. It was this past month. Mr. BELIN. You mean March? Mr. ROMACK. Right. Mr. ROMACK It just kind of upset me to know there is some monkey just hatched up such a story. Romack testified to the Warren Commision in April, 1964. He didn't tell the FBI what he knew until March, 1964 and he only did that when he read the "monkey's" story in the newspaper. What color was James Worrell? He was black, wasn't he? Steve Thomas
  16. https://www.politico.com/newsletters/playbook/2021/02/27/trump-stewing-over-mccarthy-again-ahead-of-big-cpac-speech-491926 “THE REAL STAR OF FRIDAY’S SHOW: A gilded, larger-than-life-size statue of Trump … and you’ll never guess where it was crafted. “It was made in Mexico,” said artist TOMMY ZEGAN, who traveled all the way to CPAC from Rosarito, Mexico, where he lives as an American expat on a permanent resident visa. The supply chain: Zegan spent over six months crafting the 200-pound fiberglass statue with the help of three men in Rosarito. He transported it to Tampa, Fla., where it was painted in chrome, then hauled it from there to CPAC in a U-Haul, where he managed to cart it through the conference in just a black-and-white Hawaiian shirt and no CPAC credential. (Tickets were sold out.) “If someone offered me $100,000 I’d take it,” Zegan told Playbook. “I was not a big Trump supporter when he ran,” Zegan told me. “I mean I voted for him because I wasn’t going to vote for Hillary. So I voted for him, but I didn’t really care for him. I used to watch ‘The Apprentice’ but I would turn it off halfway. I thought, ‘This is stupid.’” Steve Thomas
  17. Ron, More than likely, this officer was Welcome Eugene Barmett. http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/russ/m_j_russ/barnett.htm Mr. LIEBELER - What did you do when you concluded that the shots were coming from that building? Mr. BARNETT - I ran to the back of the building. Mr. LIEBELER - Ran down Houston Street? Mr. BARNETT - Yes, sir. Mr. LIEBELER - So you ran around here on Houston Street immediately to the east of the Texas School Book Depository Building and watched the fire escape? Mr. BARNETT - I went 20 foot past the building still on Houston, looking up. I could see the whole back of the building and also the east side of the building. Mr. BARNETT - Yes; but there was no sign they were going into the building or watching the building, so I decided I was the only one watching the building. So since this was the only fire escape and there were officers down here watching the this back door, I returned back around to the front to watch the front of the building and the fire escape. Then I decided maybe I had been wrong, so I saw the officers down here searching. Depending on the timing, those "officers watching the back door" could have been sent there by Sawyer. I don't know if the "officers" Barnett saw were in uniform or not. Steve Thomas

  19. ADL: The Anti-Defamation League https://www.adl.org/resources/glossary-terms/patriot-movement "Patriot" Movement “A collective term used to describe a set of related extremist movements and groups in the United States whose ideologies center on anti-government conspiracy theories. The most important segments of the “Patriot” movement include the militia movement, the sovereign citizen movement and the tax protest movement. Though each submovement has its own beliefs and concerns, they share a conviction that part or all of the government has been infiltrated and subverted by a malignant conspiracy and is no longer legitimate. Though there is some overlap between the “Patriot” movement and the white supremacist movement, that overlap has shrunk over time; there are, in fact, people of color within the “Patriot” movement, particularly within the sovereign citizen movement.” Guess they can add the QAnon people to that list. 25. Jessica Watkins didn't "really" meet with the Secret Service prior to the January 6th insurrection attempt. She "encountered" them. She was stopped at the check-in point and told to leave her s*** behind. I'm so glad we got that minor little point straightened out. https://www.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.226726/gov.uscourts.dcd.226726.29.0.pdf (UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ) (v. ) 21-CR-128 (APM) (JESSICA WATKINS ) CLARIFICATION TO DEFENDANT’S MOTION FOR RELEASE AND ADDITIONAL LETTER OF SUPPORT Jessica Watkins, through counsel, respectfully submits this clarification to her motion for release pending the outcome of her case. Counsel apologizes for being less than clear on a couple of points raised in the original motion – something that unfortunately became obvious by media inquiries. Counsel in no way meant to imply that Ms. Watkins met with the Secret Service. A better verb would have been “encountered.” Ms. Watkins spoke with Secret Service members early in the day when she was coming through the check in point for the VIP area. The point counsel was attempting to make was that she encountered law enforcement, including Secret Service officer on her way to providing security for the rally. She was given directives about things she could and could not do, including directions to leave all tactical gear outside of the VIP area, and she abided by all of those directives. Ms. Watkins does not suggest that she has any direct knowledge that her role as security was sanctioned by anyone other than people involved in organizing the rally. She certainly did not mean to suggest that she was hired by the U.S. Secret Service to perform security. Counsel again apologizes for any confusion created by the inartful language used in the motion. Second, Ms. Watkins wants the Court to know that she has not been mistreated by the staff at the D.C. Central Treatment Facility. To date, while in the custody of the D.C. Case 1:21-cr-00028-APM Document 29 Filed 02/22/21 Page 1 of 2 2 Department of Corrections, she has been treated with respect and dignity. That was not her experience prior to her arrival in the District of Columbia. Counsel has been contacted by the Butler County Sherriff’s Department, which disputes the description of Ms. Watkins’ treatment at their facility, but acknowledges she was placed on suicide protocols. Ms. Watkins denies ever being suicidal or expressing suicidal thoughts, and stands by her assertions that she was placed on suicide watch for retaliatory reasons despite repeated assertions that she was not suicidal. Finally, Counsel is attaching an additional letter of support that arrived after the prior submission. Respectfully submitted, A. J.
