  1. The Assassination and Mrs. Paine-Ruth Spied in Nicaragua? ~ W. Tracy Parnell (wtracyparnell.blogspot.com)
  2. But most of the "evidence" is not really evidence but suspicions. Ruth's sister was associated with the CIA, so she must be CIA. Ruth found the Walker note so she must have planted it. Michael worked at Bell Helicopter so he must have been CIA. And so on. I will admit that how one views the Paines is subjective.
  3. Welcome to the forum. You have hit on one of the main reasons that certain individuals (who shall remain nameless) will never quit. They simply have invested too much in the old canards to give up now.
  4. Congratulations David, I applaud the decision by the folks at EF and look forward to your posts.
  5. The "vast majority of viewers" you refer to are of the conspiracy persuasion. That is because that is who the film caters to. Because the market for a film that defends Ruth Paine would be just about zero. That is an unfortunate reality. This film loses any pretense of objectivity when it allows Holland, McMillan and Ruth herself to act as the primary defenders of the lone assassin theory for most of the film only to tear them down by accusing or at least implying that they are all CIA employees or assets. No such trick was performed on the CT people although it would be very easy to do. Several of the assertions in the film are indeed easily debunked despite what you claim. Here are just a couple: Ruth did not get LHO the job at the TSBD as part of a plot. That is, unless you believe the plot included several other people who were also controlled by the conspiracy: The Assassination and Mrs. Paine-The Coffee Klatch ~ W. Tracy Parnell (wtracyparnell.blogspot.com) Then we have this: The Assassination and Mrs. Paine-The "Secret Files" ~ W. Tracy Parnell (wtracyparnell.blogspot.com) The onscreen text reads "dozens of files related to the Paines remain classified." First, tax records are exempt by law from being released by the JFK Records Act so I am not referring to these and you should not be either since that would be very misleading. In any case, none of Paine the files in the JFK Records Collection are "classified." One document related to Ruth Paine has one name redacted according to Robert Reynolds who has studied the collection extensively. Please list by RIF the "dozens" of classified files or even "dozens" that are redacted that are not tax records. If you can't, you should issue a retraction or at least a correction. As for the assertions that are not "debunkable" because they are only suspicions (such as the Nicaragua matter for example) there is a reasonable alternate explanation. Again, take Nicaragua. Ruth was down there to determine if her group would continue to be affiliated with the Linder House. So, she took notes-imagine that. And some kid is taking photos and says he is doing it for the Nicaragua Network and Ruth repeats that. Now, out of all of this we are supposed to believe that the CIA has sent Ruth and this kid down to Nicaragua to collect information on groups supporting the Sandinistas? And how do they collect this information? Do they use overt techniques. No-they run around taking photos and notes right out in the open. That doesn't seem reasonable to me. What seems more reasonable is that Sue Wheaton, who is a conspiracy theorist (a fact you don't tell your audience), finds out Ruth Paine is there and starts a misinformation campaign against her. In this case, that is the much more likely explanation.
  6. Yes, that was the article he received the award for I believe. But believing in a strong CIA doesn't make you an employee or even an asset.
  7. First, he is unfair to Holland and McMillan by letting them operate as experts for most of the film and then tearing them down with the CIA accusations (which I refer to as a diminishment). He does let Holland reply but he says "I took the money because it was $1000." That implies (to me anyway) that Holland will work for the CIA for money. And the accusations against McMillan and Ruth make it clear that he doesn't believe any of them regarding their alleged CIA connections. He also shows Holland getting his gun out (presumably a Carcano) as if he might be a part-time assassin. That is Good's genius IMO, everything he does is subtle and whenever possible he lets others do the outright accusing (and there are many who are willing). He is always saying things like "some people say..." but it is clear if you listen to his current promotional interviews as I have done that he is one of those people. But I will admit, it is very cleverly done. Of course, all of this is just my opinion.
  8. I don't think you have read "all" the posts here. The Assassination and Mrs. Paine-LN Experts Diminished? ~ W. Tracy Parnell (wtracyparnell.blogspot.com) Max Good himself is careful not to criticize Ruth-he lets the others do it for him. Then, he accuses her defenders of being "CIA." Of course, the whole point of the film is that she is in the CIA or at least an asset. Good is now selling his full interview with Salandria for an additional fee. Perhaps he will include interviews with Posner, Holland and McMillan as well as Ruth so we can see what they really told him?
  9. The Assassination and Mrs. Paine-JFK and Vietnam ~ W. Tracy Parnell (wtracyparnell.blogspot.com)
  10. Chapter 18 of The Bishop Hoax is now online. https://wtracyparnell.blogspot.com/p/18-awful-blow-to-cuban-exile-cause.html This chapter ends the section on Veciana and his time with Alpha 66. Highlights include: Menoyo's capture in Cuba demoralizes the Revolutionary Alliance. Veciana resigns from Alpha 66. Veciana meets with a CIA representative in his third and final attempt to gain agency funding. Veciana gains employment with US AID. Summary of Veciana's Alpha 66 years.
  11. They didn't, unless you are willing to make the leap (many are of course) that the WC, FBI and Dallas Police were in on it: The Assassination and Mrs. Paine-Ruth Surveilled the Left? ~ W. Tracy Parnell (wtracyparnell.blogspot.com)
  12. And the people that are denigrating Ruth are making an assumption that Adams did tell her what the job was and how much it paid. And they have been running around for years saying that which is somehow ok. Let's say this-no one knows what Adams told Ruth. So, Greg's assertion has as much validity as the other side's.
  13. The Assassination and Mrs. Paine-Back and to the Left? ~ W. Tracy Parnell (wtracyparnell.blogspot.com)
  14. More progress. Jim D. has now corrected his "mistake" and changed the name of the agency that Joe Alesi worked for to the correct one-Defense Investigative Service.
  15. The Assassination and Mrs. Paine-LN Experts Diminished? ~ W. Tracy Parnell (wtracyparnell.blogspot.com)
  16. Chapter 17 of The Bishop Hoax is now online: https://wtracyparnell.blogspot.com/p/17-we-get-nothing-from-united-states.html Highlights: Veciana, Menoyo and Nazario become informants for Army Intelligence. Speculation about the launch of Plan Omega and the location of Menoyo increases.
  17. "We actually know why. Near the end of his life, DeMohrenschildt stated that, on his own, he would have never come near the Oswalds. J. Walton Moore, chief of the CIA station in Dallas, asked him to do so." That's what he said. But the likelihood is that he knew he needed to give Epstein something new for the $4000 he was being paid. "... and then had about $300,000 deposited into his account." Hey, that's progress anyway-he said "about." "...the Baron was either killed or took his own life by shotgun blast." No evidence whatsoever he was murdered according to the official report. "Priscilla always denied she was with the CIA. She even threatened to sue Jerry Policoff over this. It’s a good thing she did not, because as Max shows in the film, the ARRB pretty much sealed the deal on her. He shows the documents which categorize her as a “witting collaborator,” meaning that she did not need to be employed by them; they could rely on her to write sympathetic stories anyway." The reason she was called a “witting collaborator” was likely because she reported to DCD. She was never an employee of the CIA and there is not one speck of evidence that she wrote anything at their behest. "Further, both Ruth and Priscilla were producing evidence Oswald was in Mexico City..." Bugliosi identified 14 (IIRC) points proving LHO was in Mexico City. Did the Paines sign the hotel register and take the photo of him too? "Did Detective Buddy Walthers find the notes Michael kept of these meetings?" No-see: The Assassination and Mrs. Paine-Ruth Surveilled the Left? ~ W. Tracy Parnell (wtracyparnell.blogspot.com) "One of the most interesting parts of the film is that it appears that Ruth has employed, or is good friends with, a veteran of the Defense Intelligence Service." Jim should check Facebook more often. As I pointed out there it is "Defense Investigative Service" not an intelligence agency as Jim keeps trying to make out. They do things like security clearances as Joe Alesi mentioned in the film: Federal Register :: Agencies - Defense Investigative Service

  19. Keyvan and Jeff, The reports that state what the file boxes were and what they contained are listed in my article and elsewhere in the thread by Greg. I realize that many do not believe anything the WR or the FBI or the Dallas police for that matter say about anything. Not much I can do about that.
  20. Here is a question for you. If my father worked for Ford Motor Company and my sister worked for Chrysler, does that prove that I worked for any car company? Also, if Ruth worked for the CIA, then they obviously made her paperwork disappear. Why didn't they do the same for her father and sister? Why let people like you come along and find it? I don't know if you are referring to me or not, but I am not saying that you are doing that. You are letting others in the film do it for you such as Sue Wheaton who you identify as a "peace activist" even though she is a conspiracy theorist and has authored articles against Ruth. My problems with the film will become apparent as my article series continues. But let me start with these. You say you are objective. But the book that "inspired" you was by Douglass. That is not an objective book by any measure and McAdams destroyed it BTW: Washington Decoded: Unspeakably Awful You say the film is objective but the LN argument is primarily carried by Ruth herself, Holland and McMillan. Of course, the whole point of the film is that Ruth is CIA so the attacks on her are evident. But after letting them comment for over an hour, you begin the silly process of trying to tie Holland and McMillan to the CIA and thereby diminish everything they have said up to that point. That is objectivity? I will have a blog post on this later. Get this through your mind. PJM did not-I repeat, did not work for the CIA. If I remember correctly, she reported to the Domestic Contact Division-so did thousands and thousands of others-so what? Regarding other conversations she had with certain individuals, as she mentioned to Summers, she had no way of knowing who was in the CIA and who wasn't. You provide no context for the claim that "she would write what the CIA wanted." You isolate that quote and ignore this one from the same document-"It would be important to avoid making her think that she was being used as a propaganda tool and expected to write what she is told. I don't think she would go along with that idea at all" And similarly, you provide no context for the period she was moving in-late fifties to early sixties when everyone was an anti-communist. She very likely knew certain people could be CIA and undoubtedly cooperated with them as long as it didn't color her work and there is no real evidence that she wrote anything at their behest beyond the out of context statement you used. Now, you say in interviews that it is "reasonable" to listen to the claims made in your film. Isn't it then just as "reasonable" to listen to the LN side and not belittle it with petty tricks as you do in the film? I will give you credit for one thing. You let Ruth speak and when she does, she takes you apart. Amazing what common sense will do.
