  1. I'm sorry, but I don't think that your characterization of Conway is fair. To the iguana.
  2. Can truth endure in a stream of urine? Can golden showers break super powers, freedom drown in pee? Keep watching; we'll see.
  3. Yeats sounds more prophetic every day: Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity.
  4. I certainly hope that what you say proves true, however, in today's environment, it seems that being labeled a "conspiracy theorist" for believing in anything but the official story is (almost) akin to being called a holocaust denier.
  5. Biden's announcement sent me back to James DiEugenio's insightful article about Kamala Harris. https://kennedysandking.com/articles/kamala-harris-a-study-in-showboating
  6. California's attorney general (Kamala Harris) said that even if there were a second gunman, Sirhan Sirhan hasn't proven his innocence. CNN February 4, 2012 https://www.cnn.com/2012/02/04/justice/california-sirhan-rfk/index.html
  7. I suppose that, in the middle of a pandemic that has already killed over 155,000 Americans, just showing up at a polling place is putting your body on the line.
  8. Michael Moore was one of the few on the left to predict Trump's election in 2016. My fear is that he was prescient again when, in 2018, he said: "Sadly, Trump is not going to leave, he plans to be re-elected, he loves the term ‘president for life.’ The only way that we’re going to stop this is eventually we’re all going to have to put our bodies on the line. You’re going to have to be willing to do this.”
  9. Great moments in Presidential rethoric- "The only thing that we have to fear is fear itself." (Franklin D. Roosevelt) "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." (John F. Kennedy) "I’ll Be Right Eventually." (Donald J. Trump)
  10. The only candidate for President who ever commented on the JFK assassination in a thoughtful manner was Marianne Williamson, and if you Google her you'll notice that she's mostly mocked as a kook. **************************** For those too young to remember, trust me: who killed Kennedy is indeed a big deal. A nation, like an individual, is as sick as its secrets. Marianne Williamson (@marwilliamson) October 26, 2017 ****************************
  11. On the latest episode of Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, Oliver had a segment about "conspiracy theories" in which he conflated JFK assassination "conspiracy theories" with Covid 19 "conspiracy theories". He dismissed the possibility of a conspiracy in the JFK case by invoking the old canard about people being unable to accept the idea that one small man, like LHO, could change history. I've always enjoyed Oliver's show, but I'll never be able to watch it again without thinking about his willful ignorance. Goodbye John Oliver.
  12. In fact, the NYT's did run a story about Operation Timber Sycamore. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/02/world/middleeast/cia-syria-rebel-arm-train-trump.html
  13. Dylan named one of his great late period albums, Love And Theft, after an excellent book by Eric Lott which is about the roots of the appropriation of black culture.
  14. By Jefferson Morley. https://www.counterpunch.org/2020/06/19/dylan-does-have-a-lot-on-his-mind-but-the-nyt-didnt-want-to-talk-about-it/#gsc.tab=0
  15. I've never seen the Zapruder film and the Muchmore film presented in this fashion: it's stunning- clearly the impact on JFK's head appears to happen at different times. Jean Hill and Mary Mooreman are at the side of the limousine when the impact is visible in Muchmore, but the car has passed them by the time that the President's head explodes in Z 313...
  16. RFK's "On The Mindless Menace Of Violence" is as relevant today as it was 52 years ago. ...this much is clear; violence breeds violence, repression brings retaliation, and only a cleaning of our whole society can remove this sickness from our souls. https://youtu.be/hhANTymDIYk
  17. The most horrifying and heartbreaking film that I have ever seen.
  18. Goodbye Charlie is also a song, written by Cruz Contreras, that is about the war in Vietnam and contains the lyrics: I'm sitting up here like a cat in a tree Waiting for Charlie, gonna set him free Uncle Sam said I'm the man Goodbye Charlie https://youtu.be/ZMP-TaxdufA
