Dr. Costella's smoking gun:

Jack White

Just to add some dimension to James Chaney.

According to his contemporaries, Chaney was of exceptional character and quality. Capt. J.D. Squier described him as "impeccable" and "dignified" - "exactly how one would want their police officers to be".

Chaney's first Sergeant and later DA investigator Calvin Jones, simply called him "the best".

I find it difficult to believe Chaney would participate in any story designed to obscure the truth. The Dallas Police Department had some bad buggers amongst their ranks, Chaney was not one of them.

Unfortunately, he was another important witness who passed away during the mid 1970's. He died of a heart attack in April of 1976 aged 54.

FWIW.

James, I am not an advocate of the POV that witnesses were murdered but death at an early age in the 1970s does at a minimum raise an eyebrow (or to an advocate, both eyebrows.)

Do you have an actual DofD or at least the year?

Tim,

Yes, see my post above. He died in April of 1976. I do not have the exact date but it was around the 17th.

As to his death being suspicious, it is hard to make a case there. Chaney did suffer a minor heart attack in December of 1973 after participating in a motorcycle escort during the funeral of another police officer.

Two days before Chaney died, he talked a neighbor out of commiting suicide. He then went back home feeling dizzy and was hit with a severe heart attack. He passed away the following day.

Having a history of heart problems tends to make one think this was not suspicious. Then again, if he was targeted, his physical weakness would be an obvious place to exploit.

I have to laugh at Wim ... no matter where I look, there seems to be a thread debating whether to expel him. I have no problem with you, Wim ... it amuses me that your answer is to stamp your feet and insist that the film is genuine. It warms the cockles of my heart that this is the best "first response" that could be generated.

John

John, I don't stamp my feet, I just chuckle. Frankly I don't even take the effort anymore to look at any of Jack's or other people's new claims on Zapruder alteration (and now Nix). It's such a waste of time after he put Mary Moorman and Jean Hill on the street and claimed Mrs Franzen dissappeared and was replaced by a "new" woman in Nix. And certainly not after persisting that Badgeman is real. Did you know that that the car came to a stop and Zapruder was altered to conceal that "fact". (Or was that someone else who said that?). Has anyone thought about Nix, Hughes and Muchmore not showing the car come ta a stop? O yeah , sure, they have been altered too. But the "alteration experts" forgot to hide the grassy knoll shot and JFK's back and to the left movement. In all those films. Instead they concentrated on motorcyclists and people in the background, switching their positions, making them dissappear and replace them by new ones. Why? Never mind, that's not an important question.

Sometimes the truth is a bitch to some people, and that may be the reason for a debate to expel me. (Where is that by the way?) Oh well, such is life. For what it's worth, I like Jack's analysis of the Backyard photos.

Anyway, I don't do cloud watching. Before you know it , you see the devil in a detail, especially if you "enhance" it somewhat.

No, not a good question. All three cars are CONVERTIBLES. A cop on

a motorcycle is at least two feet taller than a convertible, and could not

be hidden behind a convertible. They would be visible from about the

waist up, and their white helmets highly visible.

However....THIS is a good question: The Queen Mary had TEN passengers

when it entered the plaza. ONLY Clint Hill should be missing in the McIntire

photo. A HUGE enlargement shows only FIVE QM passengers in McIntire.

Hickey with the AK47, two on the running boards and two in the front.

Where are the other four?

Why should they be visable? There are bodies in the QM that are blocking the view? Note Altgens.

Why not post that huge enlargement for all of us to see Jack? And please, save it as a png so it is not compressed to high heaven. If you can't post it just use :

http://www.yousendit.com/

and email me the link. I'll post it on my pbase page in png.
