James DiEugenio
Lisa Pease did an important early piece on Angleton and the JFK case back in the late nineties for Probe Magazine. It was a milestone piece which combined the best of Newman with things John left out like the incriminating Hunt Memorandum, and the even more incriminating quote: "A mansion has many rooms. I was not privy to who struck John." She reviews and updates her work here: https://kennedysandking.com/videos-and-interviews/david-giglio-interviews-lisa-pease-on-james-angleton-and-the-jfk-assassination Edited March 2, 2018 by James DiEugenio

Bagley, who was deputy chief and then chief of CIA's separate-from-Angleton Soviet Russia (Division) Counterintelligence department (SR/CI), wrote a book that shows that not only was Yuri Nosenko a false defector, but that Angleton wasn't such a bad guy, after all. The 2007 book is titled Spy Wars: Moles, Mysteries, and Deadly Games. https://archive.org/details/SpyWarsMolesMysteriesAndDeadlyGames Have you read it yet? If not, why not? How about Bagley's 35-page follow-up PDF, Ghosts of the Spy Wars from 2015 ? https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/08850607.2014.962362 -- Tommy Edited March 2, 2018 by Thomas Graves

Paul Brancato
Tommy - Newman thinks Nosenko was a false defector, according to you. Who does he think was behind the assassination of jfk ?

Who does he think was behind the assassination of jfk ? Paul, With all due respect, why don't you ask him? He's on Facebook. -- Tommy PS It's not "according to me," as you say. Facebook post, 2/28/18: Tom Graves "I truly appreciate that final sentence, John.BTW, is there a transcript available for this presentation you gave last year? (You speak too fast for me, and, IMHO, the sound quality is not the best.) https://jfkjmn.com/media/Also, please remind me again -- do you believe Nosenko was a true defector? Thanks." His reply: John Newman "Tomas (sic) Graves no he was a false defector. I believe Alan Dale has put up my presentation at JMU on facebook." My witty retort: Tom Graves "Que tomas, Tomas?(Plus diacritics)(Spanish joke)" Edited March 2, 2018 by Thomas Graves

James DiEugenio
Yes, that piece was really good. Its part of the Probe anthology The Assassinations. And wait until you see her upcoming book on the RFK case. I just wrote the introduction for it.

Paul, With all due respect, I thought that was a very good question that you asked me. Why do you now consider it to have been an unnecessary one? James DiEugenio
I am pretty sure I know what John thinks happened. Before he started his tetraology, I talked to him about it. He told me the overall concept. John and I are pretty good friends and colleagues. JFK and Vietnam was a milestone. In fact, I am spending the weekend with John and Lisa up at Gary Aguilar's house for one of Gary's JFK salons. Except this one is going to have so many people there he should have sold tickets.
