W. Niederhut
Geez... Now the Orange Psychopath is claiming that his 2020 False Elector schemes in several states were "official acts." In the John Roberts SCROTAL MAGA-verse, organizing slates of False Electors to overturn the results of elections is just part of a President's job. Steve Thomas
A President can be impeached for high crimes, but he can't be prosecuted. How screwed up is that? Steve Thomas
Matt Allison
Ironically, I'd say this is another example of how polls are just guesswork at this point. With CNN and MSNBC trying to get Biden to quit, I'm curious to see how much that moves the needle, especially since social media is far more upset with the SC ruling (for good reason, imo), than last week's debate. Matt Allison
160 years ago, there was a huge effort to replace Abraham Lincoln on the ballot when he ran for re-election in 1864. Some of the names mentioned were Salmon P. Chase and Ulysses S. Grant. Lincoln didn't know if he could survive the effort, and didn't know if he could be re-elected, so in August, a few months before the election, he wrote what became known as "The Blind Memo". It was a pledge that he required each member of his cabinet to sign, without them knowing what it said.

Matt Allison
Monday's SC ruling has absolutely emboldened the fascists. Trump is so confident he's going to win now that he's cutting back his campaign schedule so he can play more golf. Let's see how this approach works out for them. Barack Obama was a rare exception in 2008. We got lucky that year. Now we're stuck with a choice between a corrupt, orange psychopath and Weekend at Bernie's. I'll still vote for Biden, but he could be the first POTUS in American history to deliver a (pre-recorded) Inaugural Address while in a state of rigor mortis. And afterwards, Jill Biden and Kamala Harris will congratulate him for giving a great speech. 🙄 Edited July 4 by W. Niederhut
