Stu Wexler
Just going through titles before I dig in: does anyone just ever throw up their hands and say "Wtf! Why would this be classified?" Edited June 27, 2023 by Stu Wexler
Tom Gram
Looks like the 6/10/61 Schlesinger letter to JFK is still missing that page: https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/2023/docid-32281896.pdf Gotta love all the notes on the pages that say “Delete all of Section 3”. EDIT: Yea I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that this “release” is a joke. Jim O’Connell’s SSCIA testimony is also still redacted to hell, including his important comments about the Office of Security investigative field offices: https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/2023/157-10002-10148.pdf The redaction of O’Connell’s testimony is particularly bad IMO, since the bulk of the redactions concern Maheu et al. setting up foreign leaders with hookers, and it’s glaringly obvious that the only reason that stuff is being withheld is to prevent embarrassment to the CIA. I’m sure they’re justifying it on the basis of harming the “conduct of foreign relations” or some crap, but give me a f*****g break. Matt Allison
Some stuff on Harvey and ZRRIFLE; someone more familiar with previous redactions on this will have to enlighten. Although I don't know if I've heard the quote "Use Corsicans; Sicilians could lead to the Mafia" before... https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/2023/157-10014-10109.pdf

This is CD971: https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=11367#relPageId=2 Looks like the MFF copy has a few redactions but I’m guessing it’s probably released in full now. Matt Allison
This is pretty wild; in April '63, the Diem brothers wanted the U.S. out of South Vietnam??? https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/2023/176-10036-10095.pdf

Yes In April 1963, the Diems didn't like so many Americans in SV. Little did they know. They were not long for the world. Was it a CIA-organized hit squad that got them? Matt Allison
Don't know if this is new, but on page 94 of CIA officer Sturbitts interview he says it was twice determined via internal CIA review that Howard Hunt took a sick day on 11.22.63 https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/2023/178-10002-10091.pdf
