The "What?" thread contained some discussion relevant to the JFKA but was nevertheless removed to another forum last night.  I want to repost from that thread a 30 second clip from Julian Assange explaining how the concept of endless war has evolved since Pax Americana, now called the rules based order, was invoked after Kennedy's murder. 

Nowadays endless war means more than the stacking of one war after another, though there is that.  It's also about the conduct of, and motives for, the individual wars themselves.  Here is Assange explaining the concept with reference to Afghanistan.

Where does Julian Assange explicitly mention the JFK assassination? I did not see it.

It followed closely the murder of international political figures like Hammarskjold and Lamumba.  It set off a spate of domestic murders designed to decimate political opposition to the killers' policies--e.g., Malcolm, King, Bobby.  Perhaps watching the first part of the doc, Four Died Trying, will help you see their connection to each other and the JFKA.

Lyndon Johnson was Kennedy's main rival for the 1960 Dem presidential nomination.  The murder reversed that political outcome.

It replaced Kennedy's quest for peace with the Pax Americana policy he so despised and tried to prevent. That policy, now called the rules based order in which the US sets the rules, remains in place today.  No president since Kennedy has dared to oppose it, a massively important outcome of the murder.

That policy has led to continuous wars. Assange's contribution is to explain a recent iteration of what the JFKA has wrought--some wars are now designed to be endless in order to enrich the war mongers themselves. 

The separation of the JFKA from politics is a false dichotomy.

Hyeaah  Roger, that is about strained an explanation of a connection as I could imagine. And I basically agreed with you that your thread concerning JFKA's effect, or non effect on the  current political landscape  was a relevant topic.* And now emboldened,  you're just trotting out your conspiracy super heroes.

This thread is "tied" to the JFKA.  It's a discussion of the main *result* today of the murder.

As I said,

If you understand what has happened to the US and its politics in the last sixty years, if you trace through what the murder has wrought in that sense, it not only helps to illuminate the reasons for the murder back then, it helps avoid falling into the trap of treating it as a separate, isolated incident.  The Cubans, mafia, Russians, etc. had nothing to do with the political murders that followed that were designed to weaken the opposition to the policy of "Pax America" and the wars to enforce it.

Go ahead and paste the thread to Politics. But there is no reason to remove it from here.  It's relevant to understanding the JFKA. A thread can be relevant to more than one forum.
