Len Colby
Much has been made of the fact that Abraham Zapruder’s business partner ended their partnership to marry George De Mohrenschildt in 1959. Has anyone seen any evidence that the two men had contact with each other? I read somewhere that Zapruder was a member of a few CIA front organizations but can’t remember where. Is there any evidence that he was indeed a member of these groups and that they really were CIA fronts? If so any evidence that he knew this? Was he part of the leadership or just a member? Zapruder claimed to have been a great admirer of JFK, is there any evidence to the contrary or in support of this? It has also been alleged that De Mohrenschildt was a CIA asset, is there any proof that this is true? I’ve seen reports that he gave info. to the “Company” about his business trips but that was fairly common in those days and continues to be from what I understand. Jack White
Bruce Campbell Adamson, a member of this forum, can answer any question about DeMohrenschildt. DeMohrenschildt's wife, Jeanne LeGon, was a Zapruder employee. Jack

The "common ground" of which most are unaware is "Pappy's Showland" in Dallas. A dance hall which was a "must go" for servicemen during the WWII era, this dance hall was owned by Pappy Dolson, close associate of Jack Ruby and the "booking agent" for most of the girls who worked in the clubs such as Ruby owned. Pappy's Showland, throughout it's history, was well know in Dallas, and even had persons such as Fats Domino & Little Willie perform there. When the large open "dance floor" was not being utilized for this, Pappy Dolson rented it out to all types of other activities, which included: 1. Graduation & marriage parties 2. Wrestling matches 3. Fashion Shows* Therein lies the "common thread" which ties Zapruder; Jeanne LeGon/DeMohrenschildt;Jack Ruby, Pappy Dolson, others. "Nardis" of Dallas, for whom Jeanne LeGon/DeMohrenschildt worked, frequently rented the "Showland" club for it's fashion/design shows/presentations. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.john-f-kennedy.net/amazingwebof...hamzapruder.htm Lyndon Baines Johnson's personal secretary, Marie Fehmer, who flew back to Washington on Air Force One with LBJ on 11-22-1963, just happens to be the daughter of Olga Fehmer, currently living in Tyler, Texas. Olga Fehmer ALSO worked at Nardis of Dallas with Abraham Zapruder and Jean LeGon DeMohrenshildt. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the above "limited" information, one could conceive of a motive for Jack Ruby having shot LHO. Ron Ecker
Here's a link to an article by Gregory Burnham on Zapruder and his connections. Since the article cites no sources, I have no idea how reliable all the info is or where it came from. http://www.john-f-kennedy.net/amazingwebof...hamzapruder.htm BTW the article includes the familiar refrain that George Bush the Elder can't remember where he was on 11/22/63. Can anyone cite a reliable source documenting that Bush ever said this? If he ever actually said it, I consider it a damning statement. Thanks. Ron - I found that article again after starting the thread. I had read it before so I think it was where I read about Zapruder belonging to CIA fronts. I had the same impression you did. Since it desn't cite it sources it is only of dubious value. John (Simkin) - I based the line that Zapruder and LeGon were bussiness partners on your Sparticus page. Since I started this thread Martin Shackelford and another well known JFK researcher told me they only worked for the same company, Nardis, and might not even have known each other. Other sites only say they worked together, what was your source saying they were partners? Edited January 18, 2006 by Len Colby
Len Colby
John - I checked LeGon's Warren commision testimony. It appears that she only worked for Nardis (a company that started in the '30) for one year 1953 - 4. There aren't any indications that Zapruder was like this. Stizman and I believe Rodgers said he supported JFK, Unless some one can find evidence to the contrary I would assume it's true. Who told you that Lee Oswald was a "a very mixed up guy."? Did you ever meet the man? Is it possible that your perceptions of him are colored by the universal propaganda campaign against him that has dominated the airwaves for the past 40 years? Thomas H. Purvis
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abraham_Zapruder Abraham Zapruder In 1941, he moved to Dallas to work in the garment industry and co-founded a company called Nardis Mr. JENNER. I should take it chronologically. What was the company for which you worked in 1953? Mrs. De MOHRENSCHILDT. Nardis; Nardis of Dallas. http://www.collectics.com/n021d.jpg http://www.dallashistory.org/cgi-bin/webbb...rames;read=4081 Labus, Theresa P., hostess @ Braniff Airways, householder @ 9990 Chireno Mr. De MOHRENSCHILDT. I did not pay any attention. I left them to their own devices. I spoke to various people. I thought I had done my duty by bringing them along. What really impressed me that particular night was an extraordinary interest which developed between this Japanese girl, Yaeko--I don't remember her last name--but I already had given that impression of mine at the American Embassy so they could check on that. She was a Japanese girl, very good looking, who worked, I think, at Neiman-Marcus in Dallas, Mr. De MOHRENSCHILDT. The Dallas Council of World Affairs. I met quite a few people at the meetings. But they were open, public meetings, where international affairs were discussed. I remember several of the Dallas real conservatives called that Dallas council very leftist. But I never noticed anything in particular. Mr. JENNER. Were there people of substance that participated in that group? Mr. De MOHRENSCHILDT. Yes; very much so. Mr. Marcus was the president of it. Mr. McGee was the president of it. http://www.dallashistory.org/history/dalla...37_uniforms.htm Dallas' legendary Neiman-Marcus store designed the prototype uniform http://www.dallashistory.org/history/dalla...52_uniforms.htm The suit was designed by Neiman-Marcus and manufactured by Brooks Tailors of Dallas. http://www.dallashistory.org/history/dalla...55_uniforms.htm The suit was designed by Neiman-Marcus http://www.dallashistory.org/history/dalla...57_uniforms.htm Color in the Sky: 1957 - Terry Labus 1 To mark the 20th anniversary of hostess service, Braniff International Airways organized a contest among its hostesses to create a distinctive new winter uniform. Kennedy. The actions of Zapruder immediately after he stopped filming also do not indicate to me that he was an admirer of John Kennedy. And his TV interview, about 2 hours after the assassination does not indicate to me that he was an admirer of John Kennedy. Zapruder gained a very quick and substantial profit from that film. Kathleen Collins
Adamson seems to be a bit off his rocker. Didn't he claim that Jackie was a CIA agent? I don't know about Adamson, but Dick Gregory said the same thing about Jackie Kennedy on the Mike Douglas Show shortly after Reagan was shot. He said Jackie still goes to Dallas.
