Maybe I'm nuts, but, I think the Altgens photo has been tampered with.

Look at this portion, taken from the photo, which is located just beneath the mirror.

If I am correct it shows JFK with a wound on his forehead.

This wound's position seems to match the hole seen in the skull x-ray.

Maybe I'm wrong. Feel free to ridicule me if you feel the need to. I don't mind.

Chuck,

Can you use either of these 2 enlargements to plot the wound again? I just enlarged what Robin and Eugene supplied earlier, thanks to both of them.

Also,

Jackie clamps Jack's left arm with both hands.

In fact, her Right hand initially presses down on what appears to be Jack's elbow before she forms the clamp.

Where is this depicted in Altgen's?

Having studied the Altgens6 enlargement kindly posted by Robin

Unger I have now rethought what this colourised image shows.

See enlarged inset below.

IMO Jackie is supporting JFK's left arm

with both hands. Her left gloved hand below his arm

and her right gloved hand above. Previously, I had assumed

that Jackies right gloved hand was part of the woman's

dress. The baffling question for me about this image in general

is 'where is Greer?'

I believe his 'Greer's' right hand - off the steering wheel (!) - is visible and

perhaps also his left thumb.

Is Greer obscured by the flapping flag?

Where's the rest of Greer?

'where is Greer?'

In my opinion, see post #1 and #2. Thanks for the high quality scan Robin, and thanks for the colourization Eugene. As I already said, I agree with it being the back of the head, the hairline, and his left ear in the scan. As I also have already stated, in my opinion there is little if any doubt about this. Greer's right hand is also visible in the Altgens photo, as I have said that it to me seems quite obvious that he grabs the wheel 'simoultanesly' as turning backwards. Or maybe in order to be able to turn backwards. As he has completed his turn backwards to his right, Kellerman initiates his turn leftwards, as this is the moment Altgens captures.

Maybe others too will observe this. The quality is not outstanding, but nevertheless.

Eugene,

I agree, her right hand is over/above his left arm

Why don't we at least see Jackie's "White Right Thumb" over Jack's dark suit in Altgen's, as we do in Z?

The wound (what I see as the wound) appears to be very close to where the wound was shown in the autopsy

photo.

Am i seeing something that isn't there?

I don't think so because I noticed the face before checking what I found against the x-ray and this photo.

I honestly didn't think there would be a close match.

Great photo, Robin.

What was shutter speed range of Altgens' stills camera?

What was shutter speed range of Zapruder's movie camera?

Is it possible that Altgens' camera could capture a scene that

Zapruder would fail to capture - because of cameras's

different shutter speeds capabilities?

Chuck. I too saw that little round

detail in the Altgens enlargement.

I don't think it is JFK's eye.IMO it is a detail of JFK's shirt.

Maybe part of the shirt's design or even a button?

Why is there a shadow on JFK's sleeve which has the shape of Jackie's hand?

If her hand is in contact with his arm the shadow is from some other source.

Also, does anyone else think the length of JFK's arm, when taking into consideration the unseen length from the shoulder to the elbow, is impossibly long?

There is something unnatural, in my opinion, about the picture in general.

Here are a few enhancements of the

Altgens photo kindly posted by

Robin Unger.

This is as good or as bad as it

gets (Depending on your point of view).

The area between the clenched fists is still

difficult.IMO President Kennedy's shirt and tie

have been messed up after the shooting and there is probably

blood on both.

Has he pulled the two sides of his jacket

together in an effort to see what was happening?

My own view is that JFK may have been already

unconscious at this stage and was only held

upright because of his brace.

Btw, did JFK have a slight dimple in his chin?

See photo below.

Eugene.

Thanks for your colourised images.

No problem, Robin. You're welcome!

Here's a colourisation of the large file

you sent me. I hope it may be of interest or value.

Jackies RIGHT hand, resting on kennedy's arm.

Closer to frame 255-Altgen's match.

Her right hand and thumb are higher than her left. imo

chris

Chris...how about an animated gif of 246 and 253. I believe Jackie's left hand

moves impossibly fast in 7/18 second between frames.
