I just got through reading the excellent book "Bobby and Jackie: A Love Story" by C. David Heymann. I HIGHLY recommend this fantastic book which gives great insights into the relationship of Robert Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy.

http://www.amazon.co...=cm_rdp_product

It left no doubt in my mind, through many personal anecdotes and commentary from close Kennedy friends, that post JFK Assassination Robert and Jackie Kennedy were engaging in an intense love/sex affair.

I have always wondered WHY both Robert and Jackie Kennedy remained so publicly SILENT about their true thinking that an elite domestic political conspiracy murdered John Kennedy. After all, they sent an emissary to Russia in December, 1963, to tell the Russians that the Kennedys were convinced that JFK had been murdered by a high level domestic plot.

So why did they not tell the American people that? I think we have the answer now. #1 They were in fear for their lives, pretty much knowing that there had been a coup d'etat and they were powerless to change that or fight or find the murderers of JFK.

#2, and it is a big one, Robert Kennedy was afraid that if he made too much, or any, waves publicly about the conspiracy to murder John Kennedy that it would inevitably lead to public revelations about the love/sex affair he was having with Jackie Kennedy post JFK assassiation.

One thing this book "Bobby and Jackie" underscores is how much Jackie Kennedy was in love with Robert Kennedy. I get the feeling she would do anything for Robert, including running through a brick wall. They had a very intense, very close relationship ... including some torrid sex as they basically fell into each other's arms in their post JFK assassination grief.

[David Heymann, Bobby and Jackie: a Love Story, pp. 117-118]:

"Over lunch that afternoon, Smathers asked Bobby why he’d aborted his personal investigation into his brother’s assassination.
“Because every time I pump the FBI or CIA for information,” RFK responded, “I end up with a death threat in the mail. So does Teddy. I don’t care about my own life, but I do care about my brother’s. My using the CIA in conjunction with the Mafia to go after Castro may have led to Jack’s death. One in the family is enough.”

For his part, Smathers supported the theory that there had been a conspiratorial plot between organized crime and the CIA, or, more accurately, a renegade faction of the CIA. Smathers had little faith in the findings of the Warren Commission. “Gerald Ford, the future president, was an FBI mole,” said Smathers. “He was on the commission but reported back to J. Edgar Hoover.” Despite the FBI director’s disdain for the Kennedys, Smathers firmly believed that it was the CIA - and not the FBI – that had worked with the syndicate to assassinate Kennedy. “In 1957 JFK and I spent a few days in Havanna,” continued Smathers. While there, they were introduced to crime figures Meyer Lansky and Santos Trafficante, both of whom controlled Cuba’s hotels, casinos, and nightclubs, creating an exhuberant after-hours atmosphere. “Trafficante set us up in a hotel suite with several choice ladies of the night. Only later did I realize how stupid we’d been. It wouldn’t have surprised me to learn that we’d been filmed through a one-way guest-room mirror. The opportunity for blackmail, particularly after Jack became president, pointed to the foolishness of our little adventure. Jack could never resist temptation. His name cropped up in 1963 in connection with the so-called Profumo debacle, in which an international vice ring nearly brought down the British government. He’d been linked to one of the women involved in the case. Had he lived, Jack would’ve been dragged through the mud. And there was the matter of Mary Pinchot Meyer, his last mistress, who was murdered in 1964 while walking along the towpath in Georgetown. Had he been alive, that case also would have come back to haunt Jack.”

RFK, long his brother’s bagman, almost certainly knew of the meeting in pre-Castro Cuba between Jack and Trafficante, as well as all the rest of JFK’s sordid dealings. Ultimately, according to Smathers, Bobby’s decision to discontinue his investigation into his brother’s assassination probably had less to do with the Mafia and more to do with his and Jackie Kennedy’s madcap affair following Jack’s death.

“At least, that’s what Ted Kennedy told me,” noted Smathers. “One of Bobby’s fears was that somebody would eventually leak information on the affair to the press. Too many people were in on the secret. Exposure in the media would have ruined any chance Bobby might have had of following in Jack’s presidential footsteps. Frankly, between the CIA and Bobby’s interlude with Jackie, it’s a wonder that none of it had already been exposed in the press.”"

[David Heymann, Bobby and Jackie: a Love Story, pp. 117-118]

Robert,

Your pathological obsession with sex is indicated by your inclusion of the phrase "sex affair" in the title of this thread when "love affair" would have sufficed.  Likely excuse:  You just "slipped it in there" to attract attention.  Right?

Sincerely,

--Tommy  :sun

They did this because Gary Johnson had security camera videotapes of Bill Clinton often entering Gennifer's condo. The Clintons were denying the Bill/Gennifer affair at that time. Jackie Kennedy was indeed deeply in love with Robert Kennedy. I think Jackie and RFK were having sex post JFK assassination and perhaps even before it - just look at the promiscuity of JFK and how Robert Kennedy had been emotionally available for Jackie for years, especially when she had an early miscarriage in their marriage while Jack was off on a boat with George Smathers & some girls.

There were many reasons why Robert Kennedy remained publicly silent about his deep doubts about the Warren Report. I think that feared of being politically marginalized by telling the truth was a big factor. RFK did not want for it to publicly look that he had sour grapes about LBJ being president, although the two men hated each other. If Robert Kennedy had spoken out, he probaby would have lost his national platform, but he could have mortally wounded the power of Lyndon Johnson.

Martin Schotz goes so far as to identify Robert Kennedy as an accessory after the fact to the murder of his own brother John Kennedy. I agree with that. RFK cared more about his public image than with doing his job as the nation's Attorney General. He had a public duty and a moral obligation to come forward with his doubts. By choosing not to do so, RFK ended up emboldening the criminals that were running government.

As Vince Salandria has pointed out, if RFK had taken on the Warren Commission & the Johnson Administration head on, there is absolutely no way Lyndon Johnson could have prosecuted the Vietnam War.

I'm sure you do think that, Robert. Unfortunately your fantasies don't count as evidence any more than Dalek's lies about Gamerekian's oral history interview do. Unless you're talking about your own health? There, your fantasies most certainly do count as evidence.

"Promiscuity"!   :clapping  You really are wrapped up tight, aren't you, Robert?

You mean this FAKE boat outing???

According to you,  he had a public duty to what? State doubts based on hunches? That is not the way law enforcement operates, let alone the countries leading law enforcement official. Show me a DA or even a local sheriff who, in the middle of a Grand Jury investigation will go public with doubts about the direction it's going?  He had nothing to go public with. Much the same as you with your "promiscuity" allegations (sorry, I almost piss myself laughing every time you write that word).

Robert Kennedy completely publicly supported the Warren Commission, when he knew it was garbage.

That is an accessory after the fact in the assassination of John Kennedy, his brother.

Robert Kennedy in 1963 said, "If the American people knew the truth about Dallas, there would be blood in the streets." Bobby and Jackie Kennedy immediately suspected that a high level domestic conspiracy had murdered JFK, and within weeks they sent a trusted emissary, William Walton, to Moscow to tell that to the Russians in person. (Source, Brothers, Talbot, p.144)

Robert Kennedy , in the afternoon of 11/22/63, told his trusted ally Enrique “Harry” Ruiz-Williams that “One of your guys did it.”  Harry Williams was Cuban exile leader and a Castro opponent. RFK’s gut instinct after the arrest of Oswald was that he came out of the CIA’s anti-Castro operations and the secret war against Cuba. Oswald had a public persona as a pro-Castro Marxist, but in reality he was US intelligence and the chosen fall guy for the assassination of John Kennedy.

Jackie Kennedy in her oral history: "Bobby told me this later, and I know Jack said it to me sometimes. He said, 'Oh, God, can you imagine what would happen to the country if Lyndon was president?'" ... "He didn't like the idea that Lyndon would go on and be president because he was worried for the country. Bobby told me that he'd had some discussions with him. I forget exactly how they were planning or who they had in mind. It wasn't Bobby, but somebody. Do something to name someone else in '68"

JACKIE KENNEDY DID NOT LIKE OR TRUST LYNDON JOHNSON

One of JFK, Jr.'s best friends at the Phillips Academy was Meg Azzoni. In spring, 1977, she and John went to visit Jackie while Caroline was still at Harvard. Meg says: "Jackie told John and I at the 'break-the-fast' breakfast, 'I did not like or trust Lyndon Johnson.' No one said another word the whole meal in memorial contemplative silence."

After the RFK assassination, Jackie was in fear for her life and that of her children. She said, “If they’re killing Kennedys, then my children are targets … I want to get out of this country.”

The problem, I feel, with you and Schotz's (among others) viewpoint is that you seem to fail to exhaust alternative possibilities......I would wager Bobby knew who to pinpoint concerning his brother's murder and what on earth would you have him do? Yell it from the mountaintops? I believe Bobby, cunning as ever and strategic had a plan and he figured that plan would absolutely be actualized when he had significant political power. If Bobby knew the forces who murdered his brother in cold blood, broad daylight, spitting on the constitution (it was not the first time) I would wager that he felt that there is a way to deal with them but it would take a certain kind of frustrating strategy. These are interests who, up until that time and beyond, muder for profit and who have essentially taken over the US in a most tyrranical act....what do you say to that? How do you 'fight' that kind of power? I believe that being a president who would have understood what was going on to some degree, he would have been in a position to be listened to and to listen, especially to those who studied his brother's murder far moreso than he himself did. With that in mind he could have pssibly been part of a revolution, it would have been inevitable given the potentially revealed fact sabout the coup d'état.

Again you seem to pin major events on LBJ and while thats fine and all to at least suggest he was involved to some degree you must realize that Johnson was a puppet and a very, very easily controlled one. Example? You know well that if JFK had lived LBJ would have most likely been prosecuted and put in jail. He was on the brink when Kennedy was killed. Interests far greater in power initiliazed the Vietnam War (see Prouty) years before. Johnson did what he was told and for anyone beliving that Johnson had a larger role than what History seems to have taught us, I would encourage them to read (http://www.ctka.net/...on_Johnson.html). We need to move beyond "Johnson did it" John did "it" alright, he did what he was told to do or else he would be in the 'target car'. He was extremely close to the victim and probably in the flurry of bullets. That is something a politician of his kind would never forget and he would always know 'better' thereafter.

This is why I could never understand the conversation of Jackie talking to Pres. LBJ after Kennedy died.  She suspected him.  Yet she sounds like a delightful little girl to get to talk to him.  This is a week or so after her husband was killed.  I can't understand it.  The thing that makes me more angrier is LBJ telling Jackie to leave the bedroom of Air Force One so he could use it privately to talk to his advisors.

And of course the shameful photo of him ducking down when his car turned onto Elm.  He later explained it, saying he was trying to hear the radio the Secret Service were speaking into.  His poor wife stayed sitting up.

This from Treefrog today:
================

Blakey and Billings were quoting Asst FBI Director William Sullivan who wrote [this] in his book:

"Although Hoover was desperately trying to catch Bobby...red handed at anything, he never
did......Kennedy was almost a Puritan. We used to watch him at parties, where he would order
one glass of Scotch and still be sipping from the same glass two hours later. The stories about
Bobby and Marilyn Monroe were just stories. The original story was invented by a so called
journalist, a right wing zealot who had a history of spinning wild yarns. It spread like wildfire,
of course, and J Edgar Hoover was right there, gleefully fanning the flames"...........
page 427 paperback..."Fatal Hour"

Frog

And my response to that is William Sullivan was wrong. The FBI were not very good at spying on RFK  because he, to a lessor extent than his completely sexually unhinged brother, was sexually promiscuous including with Marilyn Monroe.

RFK and his “sexual insatiability” when running for president 1968

“Faced with an ever-expanding list of Hollywood stellars who supposedly had been involved with JFK- Grace Kelly, Janet Leigh, Rhonda Fleming, Arlene Dahl and Monique Van Vooren were among the most recently cited – RFK made certain that his own conquests were of a lesser note. Langdon Marvin, who had been an aide to JFK, and who had procured numerous women for his boss, recalled doing the same for Bobby. “He was running for president, and while he evidently had a steady lover or two,” said Marvin, “he suddenly became as sexually insatiable as Jack had been. I provided a gaggle of women – airline hostesses, starlets, secretaries, and others. RFK had a penchant for nymphettes – underdeveloped women with unformed personalities. I called them the Kennedy Pack, after Frank Sinatra’s Rat Pack. Once, when Bobby stayed at the Carlyle, I sent him three fifteen-year-old private high school girls. ‘That’s the best present anybody ever gave me,’ he said. Afterward, he told me he’d watched the girls having sex among themselves.”

“Bobby’s faithful little coterie of followers wanted the world to believe that he was pure as snow, but RFK was a good old ‘chippie-chaser.’ One by one, he dated almost all of the ‘boiler-room’ girls, the entourage of young women who worked for him on the campaign trail.

“In January 1964, not long after Jack’s death, RFK asked me out to Hickory Hill. There, he handed me a packet of letters – maybe a dozen or so- and told me to ‘get rid of them.’ I should have saved them but I didn’t. I didn’t even read them. He admitted to me later that they were long missives both he and Jack had received from Marilyn Monroe.”

and let's not forget this about RFK:

Former Federal Bureau of Narcotics agent Howard Diller on Robert Kennedy: his  FBN participation, his drug use, his taking advantage of women busted for drugs for sex, his use of hookers (and not paying them)

[C. David Heymann, "RFK," pp. 99-101]

Knocking down doors would become the least madcap of Bobby's antics. "Robert Kennedy went along for more than just the ride," recalled Diller. "Pretty soon, he began participating in some of the more illicit aspects of the drug busts, which  might involve opium, heroin, hashish and/or cocaine. Other agents who hung out with Bobby, fellows named Jimmy Ceburi and Arthur Krueger, would purportedly come back with reports of him seizing bags of coke for his own use or, more probably, for distribution among his buddies [....]

Most of the people we busted were drug abusers, in places like Harlem and South Bronx. During the raids, the men would be taken to one room of the apartment, the women to another. It wasn't uncommon for an agent to indulge in sex with one of the women, sometimes more than one. In exchange for their sexual favors, the women were often let go and not carted off to jail. Bobby caught on fast. I think he enjoyed the anonymous sex, because that way he really wasn't cheating on Ethel - or at least that's how he could rationize it. Bobby thought nothing of fondling these women or having intercourse with them. Or he'd force them to engage in fellatio. Then afterward, he'd brag about it, just like the agents.  [...]

Amazingly, nobody has ever mentioned or even written about RFK's close ties to the Bureau of Narcotics. What is truly ironic about his secret activities with the bureau is that soon thereafter he was named the attorney general of the United States, the top law-enforcement officer in the country. Yet here's a man who raped and pillaged and stole, a man who presumably took drugs. Bobby loved the James Bond bullshit, the 007-type of stuff, and all the dirt that went with it. He struck me as basically schizophrenic, a man capable of great good and, at the same time, incredible evil. The Roman emperor Caligula seemed mild by comparison." [...]

I also saw Bobby take advantage of hookers. He loved hookers, he loved the New York City street life. He screwed the women for nothing by threatening to run them in if they didn't come across, and that's something he did until the day he died. Robert Kennedy was a strange admixture. He'd also pick up bums on the street and buy meals for them at that restaurant his father co-owned, La Caravelle.

One of the most unusual men I've ever known.

What about Robert Kennedy, Jr? Where did he get all his sexual promiscuity from? Perhaps his namesake? His uncle JFK? His Uncle Teddy, another notorious womanizer? His grandfather Joe? All of them?

http://www.dailymail...s_campaign=1490

"Jaw-dropping sex diary that proves infidelity really does run in the Kennedy genes."

QUOTE:

"In the extraordinary diary discovered by his wife shortly before she committed suicide in grief over the break-up of their marriage, the son of Bobby Kennedy — and the nephew of JFK — recorded serial philandering which puts even the priapic ways of his presidential uncle in the shade.

When challenged by a journalist who had been handed the bombshell diary, Kennedy, a 59-year-old former heroin addict, initially insisted it did not exist, but yesterday belatedly admitted it was indeed his.

Across 398 pages, in puerile detail, the thick, red journal records his every conquest during the year 2001 — and in the process becomes the latest shameful chapter in the history of America’s most venerated yet most dysfunctional family."

This tells me little about the JFK assassination...but it tells me a lot about Mr. Morrow's obsession with the sex lives of the Kennedys.

Unless you can cite relevance to the JFK assassination--was he killed over his sexual activities?--I fail to make the connection to the assassination.

I would bet my house, my car, and my bank account that the Clintons & Buddy Young sent 3 Arkansas state trooper goons to beat the living hell out of and nearly murder Gary Johnson (the lawyer for Larry Nichols & neighbor of Gennifer Flowers) on June 26, 1992. They did this because Gary Johnson had security camera videotapes of Bill Clinton often entering Gennifer's condo. The Clintons were denying the Bill/Gennifer affair at that time. The Clinton thugs then stole the tapes. Watch the "New Clinton Chronicles" and go to minute 48 for the Gary Johnson interview.

I am indeed fascinated with the utter train wreck of the sexual promiscuity of the Kennedy family. It has been their Achilles heel for decades, starting with the strongarm tactics that Lyndon Johnson and Sam Rayburn used on JFK to force him - and I mean force - Kennedy to put the despised Lyndon Johnson on the 1960 Democratic ticket. Evelyn Lincoln said that Hoover was providing blackmail information on JFK's sex lives for LBJ and Rayburn to use.

Then it seems Kennedy was forced to keep Hoover on as the head of the FBI precisely because Hoover had so much dirt on the Kennedys both before JFK became president and afterward (think Judyth Campbell Exner and Hoover's lunch with JFK).

Every credible JFK researcher will tell you Lyndon Johnson and J. Edgar Hoover were the architects of the cover up of the JFK assassination. And both men were able to claim and stay in their positions of power because of some sort of dirt they held over the Kennedys - that's critical.

Imagine JFK putting Sen. Stuart Symington as his VP and then firing Hoover on the first day of his Administration. The Kennedy Achilles heel prevented that scenario from ever occurring.

Then there is the whole question of why Robert Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy was so publicly silent about their strong suspicions that JFK had been murdered in a high level domestic plot. Was it because RFK and Jackie were having an affair and just did not want to bring any extra attention to themselves? Or was it more likely that Robert Kennedy was politically castrated the moment a bullet goes into JFK's head? Or multiple reasons?

The family Achilles heel rared up again with Ted Kennedy and his misadventure at Chappaquiddick, running around with a party girl/secretary then driving his car into the water, and killing the poor woman. By 1980 Ted Kennedy was a full blown sex, drug and alcohol addict and thus completely unpresentable as an opponent and liberal alternative to Jimmy Carter in the 1980 Democratic primary. Roger Mudd had a famous interview in which he brought up the adultery question with Kennedy who just sputtered. If Ted Kennedy had not been such a complete personal train wreck, maybe progressives Democrats could have removed Jimmy Carter as the Democratic nominee.

Then the latest revelations about Robert Kennedy Jr.'s epic sexual addictions as chronicled in his diary - documented proof of what this former heroin addict has been up to in the bed. His adultery and epic unfaithfulness played a big role in his wife's tragic suicide. The Kennedy Achilles heel strikes again.

Seymour Hersh took a lot of grief after he chronicled the reckless and risky sexual addictions of John Kennedy. Hersh, it turns out, was 100% correct.

The father Joe Kennedy, John Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Ted Kennedy - all of those prominent figures all had some egregious sexual shenanigans going on in their lives. And you can bet their enemies were there to use that stuff to the max on them.

Ok. You win.

So JFK was killed over sex.

Game over...let's all go home.

Mark,

Do you think that Oswald's note to Hosty really said: "Tell JFK to stop bothering my wife!" ?

Peace

Of course, that is a warping of what I said.

The Kennedys Achilles' heel was unhinged and rampant sexual promiscuity. Their enemies made full use of them against the Kennedys; it keep Lyndon Johnson and J. Edgar Hoover in positions of power where they would not have been ... and that was fatal.
