  1. Southern California's only real ass-kicker! Not photoshopped,this is a real billboard.
  2. KK Downing of Judas Priest rockin a KNAC shirt.
  3. If I had to,I could find a picture of Body Count on that World Tour in 92 with KNAC in the Background. But,they are not onstage.
  4. Yours truly holding up the "K" in KNAC along with 3 of my co-workers in the parking lot at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.I traced the letters onto a piece of 3/8 plywood and my neighbor cut them out for me & I painted them. *Yes,I am wearing a KNAC t-shirt.
  5. On the Metallica & Guns N Roses Tour in 1992 it started out as GNR,Metallica & Faith No More. Axl Rose got into a beef with Faith No More & kicked them off of the tour. Faith No More was replaced by Body Count and on the last 3 shows....Motorhead replaced Body Count.
  6. In several more countries and a couple more continents.
  7. James Hetfield in the studio with KNAC General Manager Gary Price on KNAC's last day on the air.
  8. There is a reason that it says music & concerts under my user name.
  9. Sammy in Cabo San Lucas letting the fans know that he knew that KNAC went off the air when they were purchased by a Hispanic station.
  10. Lars in the studio with KNAC DJ's Long Paul & Nasty Neil on KNAC's last day on the air.
  11. I can certify that everything that you mentioned is true.Lemmy spent alot of time gambling on the draw poker machine at the Rainbow.I spent many nights on the Sunset Strip myself. Lemmy has a statue of him that is located in the Rainbow in Hollywood.
  12. Rockers up the Ying Yang supported KNAC because they got airplay on KNAC.Magazines & shows like MTV's Headbangers Ball were always showing bands wearing KNAC shirts on stage and in person. *Metallica flew in on the last day that KNAC was broadcasting to say goodbye and send them off on their last day. If you have ever heard of "Mandatory Metallica" on your radio....you can thank KNAC,because that it where it was born.
  13. I was so close to Lemmy that,I could have played his bass guitar. There was a promotional type tribute thingy to radio station 105.5 KNAC in Long Beach Los Angeles at the California Dreams night club in Anaheim. 105.5 KNAC was the loudest & proudest station in the nation & Motorhead played for $1.05 cents. You read that right. We seen Motorhead for one dollar and five cents. There was absolutely no barriers in between the band and the audience.I was literally 2 feet away. No other station had the b*lls to play the metal that KNAC did back in 1986 to 1995. I also seen them 2 more times in 1992 when they opened up for Metallica & Guns N Roses in LA at the Coliseum & then the next week at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
  14. I loved me some 80's & 90's metal scene. Yes,Thrash metal was popular at least in my eyes. The last time that I mixed it up in the pit was Slayer,Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus in Oakland at the Fox Theater (2016?) Gary Holt pulled a double duty that night playing with Exodus & Slayer.
  15. Pat, I actually want to believe that there was a wound on the left side of the temple (but I just can't) Because,I believe that a shot came from the South Knoll. That shot more than likely was the throat wound. BUT,most of the blood and brain matter flew to the left of president Kennedy. You would think that a shot coming from the Grassy Knoll would leave a hole on the left side in back of the head. *I say this because...I believe that president Kennedy was looking straight ahead forward and not to the right facing the picket fence.
  16. Wooooooo! Spending the night in line at the fence along the Malibu Grand Prix. General admission first come first serve! Probably went to 5 DOTG's (moved to LA in 1986)
  17. Just seeing this now Pat. Pat...If McClelland came out and said that he made a mistake because looking at the presidents head appeared to be on McClelland's left side, but actually on president Kennedy's right side. The other stuff that was changed, was changed by pressure IMHO. Secret Service Agent Elmer Moore comes to mind among others. You would think that other Dr's would have mentioned it along with embalmer Robinson saying he filled it with wax.
  18. Oh man,you guys mention the Oakland Coliseum & fail to mention Bill Graham's Day On The Green? Shame on you. I'm only 60,but my first rock concert was 1979 Day On The Green 3 "Monsters of Rock" Ted Nugent,AC/DC,Aerosmith & Mahogany Rush. Tickets were $12.50.
  19. Anyone who has changed their original statements is as good as see ya later bye IMHO. Their original statement stands.
  20. Now I'm going to edit to say that I seen 3 minutes worth of preview.
